This place has the best Mexican food I've had in Canada, and that is high praise considering that I grew up in Southern California and live in Vancouver now. The street tacos are absolutely authentic. My favorites were the vegetarian Rajas Poblanas with poblano chilies, the pork Cochinitas Pibil, and the fish Pescado Veracruz. The chilaquiles were also the best I've had, with half green and half red sauce to make them even more interesting. Margaritas here are great, too. By complete coincidence, we ran into Andrew, the wonderful guide from our Taste of Kelowna tour last year, who was escorting another group around and happened to arrive as we were eating. He even remembered my name, and was so kind that, after he left, we discovered he had comped us a delicious order of churros served with a wonderful chilled caramel sauce.

I had tostadas you can choose a different topping for each one or each taco. I tried both flavours of chicken. The chile relleno was super interesting because it was actually stuffed with mean and rice, which is not traditional. The mole was rich and sweet, as expected. Portions are quite large and these dishes are heavy/rich so it's quite filling. I guess their most popular items are the tacos, but that seemed rather lame and is likely because a lot of people are not familiar with these other dishes. The cocktail list could use some revamping. There were a lot of cheap spirits bring used and it gave all inclusive resort cocktails vibe. They need a real mixologist to come in and give them some recipes so that they have authentic margaritas and other drinks without the sugary sweet frat party liquor. They just need to focus on better quality spirits and a more Mexico focused liquor list. Staff was super nice and friendly. I think they brought the chips and salsa as we had been waiting awhile for our food. Overall, I would recommend this place as it was priced fairly and the food was quite good. Is this authentic? Not really from the "modern" aspect, but they do a good job of melding the traditional with the new.

Workers are friendly and call out your order when it's ready. Menu is short and sweet; 13 items and two kid options. The most expensive item is $10.25. Haven't seen this price point in years. - Enchiladas platter ($8.75) - we opted for the beef (ground beef) with green & red salsa, rice and beans. This was our favourite dish. Different than your traditional enchilada but enjoyable. - 2x Tacos al pastor ($2.50) - pork was on the sweeter side. Decent but the salsa was what really made the tacos tasty. - 2x Mexican tamales - pork tamale ($3.75) with green salsa and chicken tamale ($3.50) with tomato salsa. Pork was the better of the two tamales. Chicken was dry and dense. - Pupusa ($3.50) - fell flat for me; not much flavour, curtido lacked freshness and the tomato sauce was bland.
