We decided to get lunch at Latin Fiesta Mexican Restaurant before heading out to a few wineries. It's a Mexican/Salvadorian restaurant that also offers pupusas and tamales. They're located next door to a Little Caesars Pizza. We dropped in on a Friday (around noon) and it was bumping. The inside is oddly spaced out with only 5 tables. There's an outdoor patio but it was raining so no one was sitting outside. You walk up to the counter to order first and pay. They call out your ticket number when your order is ready. The menu consists of 16 items (tacos, quesadillas, burritos, enchilada, soups, tamales and pupusas). Can't believe their enchilada platter was only $9.25 two years ago. - Enchilada platter ($15.00) - we opted for the beef and green sauce (tomatillo). Nice that they offer the option to get both sauces (red and green). Plenty of sauce given and the tomatillo came through. The ground beef was nicely seasoned. - 3x Classic tacos ($4.00 each) - we tried one asada, pastor and carnita. The pastor was easily our favourite; tender and flavourful even without any pineapple included. Carnita was also tender. The asada was okay but the most surprising thing was their homemade salsa. Really elevated the tacos to another level. Good Mexican food is hard to find but we enjoyed our meal at LF. Will have to try the pupusas and tamales next time. 3.5 stars. read more

The food tasted good and was well presented but the prices are way out of line. The 4 churros is actually 2 chirps cut in half for 8$. The rest of the food the portions are actually quite small everything is about half the portion it should be relative to the prices being charged. Was really looking forward to enjoying this place but what you see in the photo is 60$ with the churros and realistically that's more like 30$. Thé service was very fast though. read more

I'm so stoked to be able to eat here. Music, Jerritos, tacos...what's there not to love. We ordered our classic tacos (asada, carnitas, pastor), tacos (fish and vegetarian, chicken), and carne asada burrito at 1:08pm and it is ready at 1:35pm. The seating inside is minimal: about 3 tables that sits 4, and a couple of tables that sit 3. Tacos: Love the fish, chicken wasn't that good, but the bean was filling with lots of beans and guac. Classic tacos: a tad overcooked on the meat but other than that it is good. Burritos: sadly, not good at all, the little tiny bits of meat was stuffed inside with too much rice. There's no sauce, nor flavours. Overall, good food, service is a bit slow. read more

Honestly, in the Lower Mainland it's very hard to come by good authentic Mexican food, so I was not expecting Kelowna to be any different. However, I absolutely adored this place. The food here is delicious and comforting and made as authentically as possible (quickly too!) I had their tacos, and ordered some veggie tamales to go and I loved them so much I had to go back and order more. For the price, these were absolutely outstanding, I am so glad I tried this little joint. I will definitely be coming back to try out more of their menu, and obviously get some more tamales! read more

It's cinque de mayo so had to get my taco fix here tonight! Ordered for take out and i called a couple of times but no answer! However they called me back so it was all good. Ordered beef enchilada, chicken and beef asada tacos and a pupusa. my kiddo came with me to pick up and oh man, the place was busy and the delicious smell was making us drool. My kiddo wanted to eat it right away but we waited. So got the food home and since it sat a bit the chicken taco shell fell apart and the kiddo just used a fork. The hubby really enjoyed his enchiladas and it was pretty yummy with the refried beans and yellow rice! My kiddo wasn't too crazy about the asada tacos but hubs & I really liked it as it's got more chew than the chicken and didn't fall apart. The pupusa held up the best and i sprinkled extra fresh cilantro on it and dollop of sour cream and so good! Hubs didn't care for it but the kiddo liked it. Extremely disappointing lunch at Latin Fiesta yesterday. Reviews are definitely fabricated and manipulated. Don't trust!! We ordered burrito bowls with chicken which should've included chicken, guacamole, beans and some more stuff according to the display. I was given a bowl of rice and some pieces of chicken with some nachos on top. When I asked the waitress who served me, she lied straight on my face that's how they serve it. I showed her the display menu and she just mumbled something and went away. Restaurant manager accepted that all these things should have been added but didn't do anything about it. I love Mexican food and I must say this has been the worst experience ever. I would recommend ppl who want to visit to either check their plates before eating or try some other place. We are not going there for free or discounted rates. We are paying the full price and we deserve what we pay for. I must say I won't return there and the service was extremely unprofessional & disappointment to say the least. read more

Every time I order out food from Latin fiesta they leave something out. I usually get a vegetarian burrito when I order out. Twice they have left out the beans and twice they have left out the guacamole. It's frustrating because Latin Fiesta's prices have increased a lot. With the cost of the food, one hopes the food will be incredible and consistent every time. I suggest eating inside the restaurant, that is a different and more positive experience! read more

Down home really simple and tasty Mexican. I would say this place is super authentic. I had the pork tacos on a gluten free corn taco. The pineapple salsa is sub web on top and add a little Valentina hot sauce for a kick. I also tried the chicken tamale which was very authentic as well cooked in a corn husk. Okay, first off I'd like to say that this place was not exactly what I had in mind...not in a bad way though! I thought this place was going to be a big restaurant decked out in sombreros and a mariachi band playing, but nope, it's essentially like a food court. You order at the till and then you receive your food on the counter. Not a bad thing, just different. I didn't think there was a place like this in Kelowna. It's a hole-in-the-wall type restaurant, hidden quietly behind Little Caesers. The food is cheap and when I mean cheap, i mean affordable-enough-to-eat-twice-a-week-on-a-college-student-type-budget cheap. Each item on the menu is 8 dollars and UNDER, I don't think you can find that anywhere else. This isn't the case where you get what you paid for - you seriously get MORE than you paid for. The portions are fairly big and the quality is remarkable. It tastes like authentic mexican food - not the crap from Taco Bell. I had the enchiladas platter. it came with three folded tortillas, a side of rice, a little salad with salsa, a side of refried beans and drizzles with sour cream. It was a huge platter for a mere $7.75! I was stuffed and I'm known to be a huge eater so that's saying a lot! The restaurant is just a small place with minimal seating. Most people get take-out anyways. it's a quick eat-and-go type thing. No one is lounging around for hours because there's a constant line-up. The service was friendly. Although it was busy, they apologized for the wait (it wasn't a huge wait) and happily took our order. The food came quickly, approximately 5-8 minutes, which is great because I was STARVING. I'm so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and I've vowed myself to try everything on the menu (obviously I'd give you guys feedback as well as to what's good and what's not - maybe I'll include pictures too!) Cafeteria style service, they give you a number then call it out when your order is ready. The menu is small only about 10 items but they are all fresh and delicious. Love Latin Fiesta and it is easily one of my favorite places in the Okanagan. Even if you are unsure of Mexican food (like my husband), stop in and try the quesadillas or nachos. Everything is delicious, but those two are an easy pick for those unsure. Tacos al Pastor are a quick favorite as well, and you must try the salsa verde; amazing. Would also recommend grabbing a Jarritos while you are there - nothing pairs better. I have eaten here many times and I love it every time. The tacos, enchiladas and tostadas are my favourite. They also serve large tasty burritos. I don't love the nachos as they are not really loaded with great stuff but they are also inexpensive like $5 so what do you expect. I wish they sold a super nachos for like $10 so that way they would be loaded. I prefer taco del mars nachos. Overall if you love Mexican food and you want a good deal try this place. read more
