This place has the best Mexican food I've had in Canada, and that is high praise considering that I grew up in Southern California and live in Vancouver now. The street tacos are absolutely authentic. My favorites were the vegetarian Rajas Poblanas with poblano chilies, the pork Cochinitas Pibil, and the fish Pescado Veracruz. The chilaquiles were also the best I've had, with half green and half red sauce to make them even more interesting. Margaritas here are great, too. By complete coincidence, we ran into Andrew, the wonderful guide from our Taste of Kelowna tour last year, who was escorting another group around and happened to arrive as we were eating. He even remembered my name, and was so kind that, after he left, we discovered he had comped us a delicious order of churros served with a wonderful chilled caramel sauce.

We tried the blood orange and the passion fruit margarita both were amazing 11/10. Blood orange was sweet and had a sugar rim, passion fruit had fresh fruit and a tajin rim. It did take awhile to get the drinks but because the food came so quick - we were partway through eating when we got drinks. Ordered chips + pico de gallo. I had tostadas you can choose a different topping for each one or each taco. I tried both flavours of chicken. Also tried a burrito with chicken , it was huge and a little heavy lots of beans and rice came in it. Staff was very friendly.

They have a deep understanding of the world of agave and were so fun to talk to. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

There is a salsa bar-- the hot salsas are actually spicy. Some of the salsas were hit or miss, probably about 1/4 were good, 1/4 were ok and then the rest were rather bland or meh. The fire roasted salsa that came with the chips was actually the best one. We had two mains to share. The chile relleno was super interesting because it was actually stuffed with mean and rice, which is not traditional. The mole was rich and sweet, as expected. Portions are quite large and these dishes are heavy/rich so it's quite filling. I guess their most popular items are the tacos, but that seemed rather lame and is likely because a lot of people are not familiar with these other dishes. The cocktail list could use some revamping. There were a lot of cheap spirits bring used and it gave all inclusive resort cocktails vibe. They need a real mixologist to come in and give them some recipes so that they have authentic margaritas and other drinks without the sugary sweet frat party liquor. They just need to focus on better quality spirits and a more Mexico focused liquor list. Staff was super nice and friendly. I think they brought the chips and salsa as we had been waiting awhile for our food. Overall, I would recommend this place as it was priced fairly and the food was quite good. Is this authentic? Not really from the "modern" aspect, but they do a good job of melding the traditional with the new.

I can't believe how long I can be ignored by the staff and the manager. Apparently the record so far is 20 minutes. If it wasn't for the staff prioritizing the pick up orders, maybe they would have gotten to me sooner, but that is not a great excuse. And after hovering on the other side of the counter for over 10 minutes in front of me, the manager finally looks at me and asks if I have been helped. All this time she didn't check? And then there are the people picking up orders pushing into the line to get their orders first. Clearly showing up in person is not a good idea. Also my wife and I got different sized burritos. we couldn't tell the difference between the small and which one was the regular? The food line was constantly being stocked, and taking so much extra time. And so much of the food looks like it had been there all day, eww. I can't believe they are still in business. It's such a long wait no matter when I go in. I think I'm good now...I have learned that I'd rather spend my money at places that value my time and business.

We came around 12:30 on a Monday. There was one table in and no one was really there. I was slightly hesitant and worried it was going to take long as there was only one person working but another one showed up. We ordered margaritas (lime and so delicious - they flavour the rim with a spicy/salty combo that went so well with the tart of the lime). My friend got the burrito and I got tostados (they don't do much vegan options but they are very accommodating). We also ordered chips and salsa (not a typical salsa but very good) and guacamole (which unfortunately came with cheese so none for me). The chip were fresh and not too salty or oily. The burrito was huge and my friend thoroughly enjoyed it. The tostados were piled high with fresh veg and pickled onions and topped with their fresh hot sauce! The food was excellent! Hands done a repeat place to visit. The staff were very sweet and friendly. Prices are good so there is no reason not to go!

Workers are friendly and call out your order when it's ready. Menu is short and sweet; 13 items and two kid options. The most expensive item is $10.25. Haven't seen this price point in years. - Enchiladas platter ($8.75) - we opted for the beef (ground beef) with green & red salsa, rice and beans. This was our favourite dish. Different than your traditional enchilada but enjoyable. - 2x Tacos al pastor ($2.50) - pork was on the sweeter side. Decent but the salsa was what really made the tacos tasty. - 2x Mexican tamales - pork tamale ($3.75) with green salsa and chicken tamale ($3.50) with tomato salsa. Pork was the better of the two tamales. Chicken was dry and dense. - Pupusa ($3.50) - fell flat for me; not much flavour, curtido lacked freshness and the tomato sauce was bland. Wouldn't get this again. You won't find cheaper Mexican in town. Will have to try the pozole next time!
