if it's already spritz o'clock in Italy, and you happen to be in the center of Naples near the largest square, across the street from the Opera House, nestled inside the Galleria Humberto mall, you'll find Bar Brasiliano. It's hard to beat the convenience. There is lots of "outdoor" seating..."outdoor" in quotes because it feels like you're outdoors, but the entire mall courtyard is covered by a glass ceiling so, technically, you're indoors. Think about that as you sip your spritz.
They've got a few variations of spritzes available to try. My wife and I had a classic Apérol Spritz, and a Limoncello Spritz. They did the job and were refreshing, but we both thought both of them were a little sweeter than they needed to be, especially after having the same drinks at other places all over Italy during the week leading up to our stop here.
Our server was nice and we appreciated the spritz accompaniments which included fresh green olives, peanuts, potato chips, and those famous, often round thick cracker-ish things that we saw with spritzes all over the place.
Don't tell anyone, but we also fed some of those to the pigeons who were walking around nearby. A bird's gotta eat!
We appreciated he atmosphere and quick service from the very hard working server who was covering the entire "outside" area.
They've also got fantastic looking pastries at the counter inside.
Pro-tip, there's a bathroom inside, upstairs in the back. read more
