We all decided on the Darrell's Special sandwich with jalapeño mayo, and it did not disappoint. This location seems like a cross between a restaurant and a convenience store, but don't let its humble appearance fool you. There's some great burgers to be had here! I guess we should start with the headliners, which are the stuffed burgers! These hearty creations have a variety of fillings stuffed into the center of the hamburger meat itself, making them a huge moist juicy and delicious handful! The variety of fillings includes mushrooms and Swiss; boudin; BBQ brisket; and even macaroni and cheese. These are a great choice, but one can also get a plain old fashioned hamburger or cheeseburger with toppings outside of the patty if one wishes. There are a choice of breads for these, so if you want it on Texas Toast or a Jalapeno Bun, it's all good! Then you need a side. There are of course fries and onion rings, but also tater tots and sweet potato fries. If you have any room left they have a pretty nice selection of ice cream and frozen treats.
