This place is small and vibey. We came on a Monday, and got seated (party of 6) right away. The sesame old fashioned is so different and delicious. My friend also got a delicious drink with edible gold on top! All in all would come back!

Absolutely delicious Gore Martini (with apple juice and cucumber) as well as a decent Harvey Wallbanger. Excellent service and atmosphere.

Probably one of the most authentic English bars (located in Gore hotel). Charming and cozy with exceptional service and barman who has perfected the art of mixology including great Irish coffee!

We rolled in here lastnight before the London Symphony at Royal Albert Hall and it was like walking into the swinging 1960's of London.

I usually shy away from hotel restaurants, in this case the Brunello Bar and Restaurant but a colleague thought we should try afternoon tea here. Pros: Excellent, polished service. Our Jackets were hung upon arrival, wifi codes are available upon request. Circular table and setting were very nice. Scones & clotted cream were lovely. Baglioni black tea was my choice and I enjoyed it. Location to major attractions/theater ect... Cons: Afternoon tea was nice however a far cry from what I expected. The sandwiches were not well prepared and very basic. (bread only bites were had). The same custard was used in many of the pastries and the chocolate mousse was watery with a grainy texture. The cannoli however, we're fresh and just wish actual whole, roughly chopped pistachio nuts were used as a garnish as opposed to bright green, flavorless powder-like topping. Afternoon tea with a serving of Ferrari Spumante 58.80£ per person. Pictures show 2 servings.

I wanted to have lunch in the Kensington area near Hyde Park, so Brunello at Baglioni Hotel seemed like the perfect place for me. The service was excellent from the beginning, the waiter kept the plates and wine flowing at a steady rate, describing the origins of the wine and reason for pairing with every dish. The Salmone Norvegese and Tuna as part of the chef tartar's selection were so fresh and an exciting combination of flavours with celery and fennel vinaigrette in sweet mustard. Then came the black truffle risotto with 24 month-aged parmesan cheese, which was a terrific way to showcase the ingredients and I definitely loved this dish. Red meat was next on the menu and tagliata of beef fillet was a style of beef I have never tried before but want again and again now. Cooked to perfection at medium rare with a broccoli gratin and mushroom, this really shows the chef's skills and is worth a trip to Brunelllo just for this. The final course was the chef's cheese selection of Parmesan, Pecorino, Camembert, Caprino, Gorgonzola served with crispy pistachio, fruit marmalade and honey. The rich flavours and textures of the cheese with the sweet notes of the Hungarian Tokaj was the perfect way to end the meal. I highly recommend Brunello and can't wait to return!

After a dinner, this place is a good meeting point for a group of friends. As it is so popular there are bouncers at the door, letting only as many people in as there are going out. To be fair, this place is tiny and if it gets too packed you get to step onto each other's feet. There is a more casual bar on the ground floor; going down the stairs you will find yourself on the dance floor. Not many places around South Ken are open late, however, this one got a license until 2am, which makes you get into the dance move. You will find yourself surrounded by locals and an international mix. I often bump into Greeks and Germans. As Eclipse has more of a lounge feeling to it, you will find yourself talking to people you would otherwise not have met. If you are early enough, the main highlight is the bongo player, which brings rhythm into the bar. I would not plan my night around Eclipse, however, this is a great alternative to consider if you happened not to be on a guest list somewhere else.

It's a cool mix of mostly locals and the few visitors who are fortunate to find this gem. For this visit, most of the seats at the bar were occupied. So I sat at a table between the bar and the pool table where I watched several entertaining games. Jenna was the bartender on duty, and after my initial drink order, she was very proactive in coming out behind the bar to check on me for refills which I really appreciated. She was personable and very friendly. As an added bonus, one of the local pizza delivery guys came into the bar with several pizzas available at severely reduced prices. To be honest, they could've been many hours old, but they were happily bought by many customers including myself who needed some beer absorbing carbs. I'll definitely go back the next time I'm in town. I felt very welcome even as an obvious tourist.

Well drinks and wine (house) are two for one, so both my boyfriend and I had 2 glasses (white for me, red for him), and the total for all for was under 4 pounds - positively insane! Also there is a roaring fire, so it's super cozy, but very small, so be prepared for others to hear your conversation - if they're paying attention to you at all over the sports playing on the TVs... Only downside, no wifi (which means that as my iphone doesn't work over here, I had no internet access) :( Although you can purchase a pass from the hotel if you so desire.

Within the first three minutes of sitting down, three different servers came over to ask about drinks. Shortly after our drinks arrived, two more came to check if we were ready to order food. When we said we wanted a bit more time, we were reminded that there was a two-hour time limit on the table, which felt unnecessary since we had only just arrived. With about 23 minutes still left in our booking window, plates were already being cleared and the bill was brought over, which made the end of the meal feel rushed. We ordered the Sunday roast whole chicken to share. It came with green beans, roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, mashed carrots, and two small pots of what seemed to be parsnip purée. The chicken itself was a bit dry, and the purée is a bit confusing. Overall, the experience felt more rushed than enjoyable, which was a shame as we were hoping for a relaxed pub lunch.

We ordered Sunday Roast (because it's Sunday), Pork belly and their Sea bream. Roast beef was cooked to perfection. Their sauce is delicious and their horseradish paired perfectly. Their pork belly was really good, especially with their crispy crackling, really made the dish. the Sea bream was also good with their crispy skin and buttery lemon sauce. You need to get their apple crumble for dessert, it was so deliciously yummy! Crunchy, creamy, salty and sweet, it was perfection and perfect way to end an already scrumptious dinner. This is the second time we've been here since we've visited London, and it won't be the last!
