As someone who is trying to get back into the gym, I was a little skeptical about joining. Once I bit the bullet and did, I haven't regretted it! I love how open and big it is because everyone is not all over each other to use the same machines or weights. There are multiple floors and plenty of smaller spaces to workout peacefully. They offer nice amount of classes and everyone is friendly. It costs more, but it's worth it for me. read more

Well, for the 20% price increase from $62.75/mo to $75 per month you would think they could keep the wet areas clean. There is typically Mold & Black Slime all over the showers & nasty floors in wet area. Whirlpool is a joke as they don't turn the jets on, just sit there in the nasty ole tub with semi hot water. Soap/wet wipes/hand sanitizer Empty most of the time in multiple locations they have them. Steam Room is nasty. Obviously do not clean it regularly and the same for the dry heat Sauna, NASTY. A reputable Gym/Health Plex would at least keep it clean. Surely would be shut down if EPA inspected it most weekends. Other than wet area, the other facilities, weights, weight machines & equipment is satisfactory. Track is nice. Crowd is now tolerable, now that the basket ball courts are no more replaced with the pickle ball courts & work out area. read more

Facilities are great, pool seems clean, but the good old boys and staff make me feel super unwelcomed.

Amazing gym and amazing people, but horrible hours. Why close at 5 PM on saturday??? It's on a college campus and I'm sure a good few people would come late. for how much a membership is and where's it's located, why are their hours so limited at times. read more

Decent gym, good pool, But HORRIBLE if you have a strenuous or busy schedule (i.e. Most college students, especially athletes and adults with jobs/kids/life). The hours are just plain terrible, they close at 5:00pm on Saturday, and they close the pool at 4:45! Even worse on Sunday they are only open from 1:00 to 6:00, 5:45 for the pool. so good luck if you're an athlete trying to do doubles, or someone who works on the weekends. Essentially the only people the hours work for, are ones with nothing else going on. A final Note, if you want to run for more than an hour on one of the treadmills, you can't, it will abruptly shut off ruining your workout. Also, they don't go above a 3% incline! read more

The Healthplex isn't a bad place to workout. It's conveniently located on campus for Mississippi College students. There is a decent variety of fitness classes you can take (Hip Hop, Spin, Zumba, Barre, Yoga, etc.). The hours of operation for the establishment is not as frequent as most. It doesn't open till 1pm on Sundays and doesn't stay open too long in general. If you are a complete fitness junkie who doesn't require a class setting to work out you're better off going to Planet Fitness down the street. Better prices and better hours. The semester fee for students is $125 a semester (most will argue it should be part of Mississippi College tuition as it is on our campus). All in all not a bad place to get a workout in. read more

Baptist Healthplex - Pretty much the whole facility! - Gyms Near Me - Clinton, Mississippi

I am only speaking for the aquatic area (haven't used the remaining part of the facility). There is ample parking. The facility is clean and the desk staff is as friendly as they come. Two pools (one at 85 degrees and one at 88 degrees). Both are 25m pools. The 88-degree pool is divided into two spaces, length-wise. The 85-degree pools is divided into four lanes with one end going to five feet (vs the 4 feet 6 inches on the other end). There are a variety of water aerobic and arthritis classes for the aquatic area. I am taking swimming lessons from Kassie and never had an issue with sharing space, noise or cleanliness. Kassie is a phenomenal swim instructor (steps, guidance, cueing, etc.). She has been patient and watches every move and gives guidance on how to improve and what to work on. I am able to stay and practice in the pool a little before and after IF THERE IS NO CLASS. There are five separate shower areas (shared by males and females). EACH area has its own shower, toilet, sitting area and sink. Each area is a separate room with doors that lock. Each area is equipped with wide open spaces, arm rails, a seat in the shower and blow dryer. For me, just looking to swim, this is perfect. read more

The Baptist Healthplex in Clinton, is a State of the Art workout facility. My children and I have been to numerous gyms across many states, and this facility is tops. They have everything you need from swimming, sauna, steam room, walking/running track, childcare, basketball court, numerous exercise classes, racquet ball court, crossfit, spinning, and more. The exercise machines and equipment are new and well maintained. The facility has 3 levels of areas for exercise. The dressing rooms and showers are equipped with lockers, mirrors and lounge areas with TV's. There is a smoothie bar and coffee area as well located in the lower lobby. The staff are professional, knowledgeable and always helpful. I love how clean, neat and modern the atmosphere is there. Awesome facility! read more

The Center itself is great. The equipment is well maintained. The staff is nice. There's a pool. And they offer a variety of fitness classes as part of your membership. So why a two star review? The hours. They close at 8 PM on Friday. They close at 5 PM on Saturday. The don't open until 1 PM on Sunday and then they close at 6 PM. They're closed every Holiday. So they wait until people have the most free time to dedicate to fitness and cut them off. The limited accessibility during the weekends has seriously diminished how favorably I view this gym. When my membership is up, I'm probably going to look into other locations. read more

I came in three months ago to cancel my membership. I was offered a 3 months suspension and at first decided to accept it. I turned and decided to cancel my membership because of the pandemic. The young man at the counter suggested a 6 month suspension instead. I accepted. I asked if I need to fill out another form. I was told that no, he would just change it in computer. Instead at the 3 month mark, they started rebilling me and told they had no record of my getting a 6 months ext. I am posting this review so that this does not happen to anyone else. I explained that I have some unresolved medical conditions, major, that unresolved. I can't go to a gym until this is treated. This feel upon deaf ears. read more
