Fantastic spot. They roast their own coffee out the back and you always have several really interesting variants on offer. They cycle through them also so it changes quite a bit. This is no chain coffee shop, the quality is way ahead of that. They also sell the beans so if you fine a variant that you really love you can bring it home with you. The lads that run the place and work in it are really friendly and will happily chat with you, especially on the characteristics of the current offerings. The place is clean, comfortable although can sometime be a little busy at the weekend. I often like to drop in and just sit at the counter as enjoy a coffee. I haven't really eaten there but they definitely have more options than they originally did. I must pop in for a sandwich some day soon to try it out for lunch.
The only negative I could point to is that there is no immediate parking outside. You need to park over in the abbey car park and walk the 100m to the shop itself. It's no real hardship really. Having said that there have been a few times when the lovely Irish weather has prevented me from doing this.
