The outside

I love this place, tried it last week and my husband and I are obsessed. We saw a tiktok about their matcha and "sando" egg sandwiches, and they did not disappoint. Their matcha is better than the popular place in the Moreno Valley mall. We got the banana pudding matcha and it's delicious. The service is really good, the ladies are so nice. We went again today and she recognizes us. It's that good here, can't wait to eat here every Monday!

ube matcha

Their breakfast sando is absolutely divine! I called in to double check they had it and ordered over call. The restaurant was wonderful and had it ready by the time i got there (~10 mins). I added an ube matcha which was an amazing choice. It's a good blend of both flavors with the ube only slightly overpowering the matcha. In my opinion it's the perfect amount of sweetness as it's not too sweet. The breakfast sando is a must have! It is on the sweeter side because of the pork, but the hash brown adds a delicious crunch and balance to the flavor. I could not put it down and I definitely would come again just for this. Definitely recommend and I wish they had it available every day!

Biko Matcha

Came here for the matcha! I thought their flavors were really unique. I got the Biko matcha and it definitely reminded me of Biko. My mom, who doesn't really like matcha, actually loved this drink. I also had their halo-halo and their beef tapa; both did not disappoint!

Banig has been serving up Filipino food in Moreno Valley for decades and the food is one of the reasons why this long-standing casual eatery is still in existence today. This family-owned business is a small to midsize restaurant with plenty of seating and about a dozen tables. Note: Larger parties can move tables together to create a single, larger table. They have a small television with The Filipino Channel (TFC) playing in the background. The food is served cafeteria style. Basically, you walk up to the display of food and point to a dish you'd like. It's called turo-turo, which literally translates to point-point. There is no visible menu so if you're new to this establishment, you can ask what each dish is. They do have their staple breakfast and lunch items that are available all day: * Longanisa (Sweet Sausage) * Beef Tapa * Garlic Rice * Pancit (Canton-Bihon Mixed Noodles) * Pork Adobo * Bangus (Milk Fish) * Beef Caldereta (Tomato-Based Stew) * Lumpia (Egg Rolls) * Lechon Kawali (Fried Pork Belly) * Sisig * Dinuguan (Pork Blood Stew) * Giniling / Picadillo (Ground Meat) * Binagoongan na Talong (Eggplant with Fermented Pork) * Pinakbet (Vegetables with Fermented Shrimp) * Balatong / Mungo (Lentil Soup) * Sinigang (Tamarind Soup) * Palabok (Rice Noodles with Gravy) ... and much more My favorites are the Lumpia, Sisig, and Lechon Kawali. They make the best Lechon Kawali I've had from any Filipino restaurant ever! Come check them out. Friendly service and smiles, and delicious food!

Finally able to try this place out after going to a yelp event nearby and glad we did. My daughter and I were able to try the silog breakfast with bangus, tocino, garlic fried rice and two eggs I was able to try the two item combo of pork adobo and beef caldareta. I also made ordered a side of beef picadillo. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Parking right outside is plentiful and not too far from freeway. Is co e back again and if needed there is an Asian market in the same plaza.

I was in the area and finally decided to check this place out. I knew I was gonna miss the goods because I stopped in a half hour before closing time at 2 pm, and sure enough, they didn't have any ginataan, which is what I mainly came for. =/ Ginataan is a Filipino dessert that I never liked as a kid, but somehow grew to love it over the years. I can make my mom's secret recipe, but I wanted to see if Banig's was legit. I guess I'll have to make a return trip and come in the morning. I walked into an empty dining room that was carpeted (so weird!), and 2 customers were placing their order at the counter. As they finished their order, I looked to see what they had. Most of the dishes were gone, and the garlic fried rice was one of them. I saw the sign for their Sisig Bowl, so I felt I HAD to get that since I am a huge fan of sisig!! I also got a small à la carte order of what looked to be Pinakbet, but the only thing it had was pork and eggplant. The o.g. I'm used to has okra, bittermelon and squash, and sometimes tomatoes. I'm not sure if they usually label the dishes, but I didn't see any. I did see Dinuguan, Fried Bangus (milk fish), Sinigang (I think?), some Longanisa, and Chicken Afritada. I know my Filipino food, but some of these did not look familiar to me. I ate them at home, and they tasted just okay. I did ask for a side of vinegar because for me, it's a must-have to go with sisig. The freshly cooked egg on top was a nice touch, and it had the perfect yolk! However, the sisig itself did not wow me, as it lacked the peppers and other seasonings I've had at most other places. The "pinakbet" was odd because it was missing vegetables, but it didn't taste bad, just a bit salty for my taste. When I come back, I hope to get the full experience. I knew I should have went earlier in the day as places like these are the ones where you lose if you snooze and that I did. Prices are average, in my opinion, but the serving sizes could be bigger. I know business owners struggle with the cost of everything continuously going up, but it is what it is. The girl who helped me was nice. Hopefully, I'll get to try the ginataan next time!

Biko Matcha Latte, Regular Matcha Latte
Zuri E.

My friend and I came in today to try their new Matcha Mondays menu! I got a regular matcha latte and she got a Biko matcha latte + the breakfast silog sando. As a huge matcha lover I really liked the amount of matcha flavor you got with drink which is nice since most places (especially in the I.E.) tend to water down the matcha flavoring or overpower it with syrups and milk. My friends Biko matcha latte was to die for and tasted very much like the dessert. If you're a big coconut fan I would definitely get this drink especially with the added touch of the toasted coconut flakes on top. The cold foam on top of the matcha also has coconut flavoring too. The service was really good and the workers greeted my friend and I very warmly. We went pretty early on (at 8:10ish) while it was pretty empty and were able to get our drinks right away.

I swung by Banig today looking for a sweet treat. I ended up going with the Halo Halo and it hit the spot. I'd for sure come back here to try their entrees!

Amazing and fast service, kind staff, and delicious food. My favorite breakfast spot.

My favorite place to get halo halo.

Been coming to Banig for years. It has the best lechon kawali I've had in a restaurant setting. The staff are friendly, and it's nice to see the young men who are also working and helping their family business thrive. I love interacting with them, they're friendly and hilarious. This is my favorite place for Filipino food in the county. I'll come by just to get halo halo. Support family owned businesses!

Matcha Lattes

Went in for Match Monday and was not disappointed. We tried three of the four flavors and the Turon was amazing!! We also tried the sando which is the perfect breakfast sandwich! The service was top notch, they truly care about customer feedback. 10/10

I went there for breakfast and the food looks a day old. Lacking the filipino flavor in every dish that I ordered.

The lumpias are the best here. They are made fresh to order from a small order to a party tray.

Ask the Community - Banig

Do they cater?

They have party trays available for advanced orders. You would just pick it up.

Do you do delivery?

No, they aren't on any 3rd party apps like Doordash or UberEats. I believe it is pick up and takeout only.

We ordered two trays for each dish and we didn't let either of them go to waste! Ms. Romelia cooked and prepared each dish ready to serve, in fact we tossed each tray on chafing dishes and it stayed fresh for hours! The lumpia came with added sauces and the pancit was beautifully presented as it was topped with citrus slices. Tasty lumpia filled with chicken, pancit with pork and sausage bits mixed in along with veggies! It was a hit with our guests and I look forward to having Ms. Romelia bring her kitchen to our future gatherings again! Oh and if you order her cassava cake, you will not be disappointed!!! Love the coconut flavors and texture, a delicious dessert! Highly recommend orders from the official lumpia lady!

Absolutely delicious!…read more I was craving filipino dishes and yelped Moreno Valley as I was visiting my parents. I was excited to try Official Lumpia lady as it came up as #1 recommendation on yelp. She did not disappoint. I ordered lumpia and barbecue sticks. The lumpia was freshly cooked so it was still crispy. My sister and I kept eating the lumpia while we were driving lol. The barbecue sticks were AMAZING! They come uncooked so you'll have to do the grilling yourself. The flavors brought me back to my childhood memories where we used to barbecue outside over a bonfire. The whole family enjoyed it. I will definitely order this again. The ordering process was pretty smooth - you order via IG online and schedule a pickup date. She was on time, friendly and very responsive to all my messages. I absolutely recommend the official lumpia lady.

OOOUUU BABY!!!! If you're reading this, get your taste buds going and start getting your order…read moreready. You will not regret it! First of all, let's start with the soon-to-be-world-famous Cebu Style Steam Rice. It's literally a flavor explosion in every bite. There is no lack of flavor in that heavenly gravy. It is soooooooooo tasty - if you decide to order anything from her, please get this!!! THE LECHON KAWALI IS ANOTHER BANGER I'M TELLIN YA! The flavor of the pork is 1000000/10. Crispy and moist. This dish is not for those who are "on a diet." But if you are, this is definitely one of those cheat meals. DO NOT SLEEP ON HER LECHON KAWALI! Next up - Grilled Rib Eye + Mashed Potatoes. If you like meat and potatoes, just order it. Please. Just do it. I'm literally still dreaming about the way she seasoned the meat! Low key I think it's way tastier than any steak house out there - treat yourself with this deliciousness! Fettuccine Alfredo Chicken, oh my word please Cianni, my stomach can only expand so much!!! BUT THIS WAS ALSO SO DELICIOUS TOO!! You have magical hands that season your food so perfectly. Oh man, it's sooooo flavorful and much better than any other alfredo's I've had. If ever you need a taste tester for your food, just hire me. Make me your apprentice! Dessert time! Puto Maya + Sikwate - what I love about it is that it's not too sweet. I love how she uses the red rice. The chocolate sauce is to die for though, I'm literally drinking it out of the cup it came in. Bahahah this is my most favorite way to consume carbs!! YUMMY IN MY TUMMY! Can't wait to try the rest of your menu!
