We chose the following: 1) Moo Grop sauce Makarm (Crispy pork belly with spicy tamarind sauce) 2) Jaw Rang (Prawns with coconut milk, fresh turmeric, lemongrass & chilli) 3) Pad Thai Pra To Pee (Pad Thai noodles with egg, beansprouts and chives) 4) Coconut Rice 5) The special: Khao soi (a coconut curry noodle soup) Angie was our server. I told her what I liked and asked her what on the menu would best meet my expectations. She was right on the mark. (Of course the hubby ordered his normal - Pad Thai.) It took a little while to get our order, but they were extremely busy. And they were making specific dishes just for us. The dishes were unique. The chef made them his own and each one was delicious. This was a hit with both the hubby and me. The restaurant is very small with limited seating. We walked in without a reservation on a Wednesday night at 7:30 and , thankfully, they squeezed us in. My suggestion is to call ahead for a reservation. You will be glad you did. Yum.

Also love the fact that when I check in there on the Yelp app that it gets me a free bottle of lager! I'm a bit of a stickler for always getting the same dish here, chicken satay skewer starter followed by chicken green curry because I totally love it, but the other people that I've been here with have always raved about the dishes they've had too. Bring your own alcohol, cafe is basic and staff, hmmm is a different story! First few times I went was about 2 years ago and she was very rude but we kept going as we thought it was funny and added to its uniqueness! But we went back the other day, we had a different waitress and she was very nice and friendly! It was a surprise that she was nice and we said she must be new! Ha. Sukhothai's version of this dish is as ever, mouth watering and delicious. I never feel over fed or bloated after dining here and it is always so reasonably priced for the experience. I guess in comparision to my other two favourite Gang Kiew Wans in Leeds, it doesn't quite have the flavour of Tampopos, and the restaurant doesn't quite have the panache of Chaophraya, but for the all in one price-food-quality-service, it is damn close. This uniqueness, to me anyway, gives Adel Thai Food a bit of a charm that I can't place my finger on. Within moments were were told we were lucky enough to be on time for the early bird menu, but that we were still welcome to order from the main menu, and our drinks orders were taken. The restaurant itself isn't huge but it's comfortable with the kind of décor you'd expect from your typical tradition Thai restaurant in the UK. Although it was early in the evening and midweek the restaurant was busy and several take away orders were carried away while we were there - always a good sign. Most of us ordered from the early bird menu (I did mostly because the shear list of options on the main menu was a little overwhelming). Probably the best choice of starter was the fried squid - no skinny calamari rings here, it's huge chunks in a rich batter. The other options were similarly impressive with pork parcels and chicken skewers featuring among the other favourites. The mains were good too. I ordered Pad Nam Man Hoi, a chicken dish with mushrooms, peppers and brocolli, all very fresh and delicious. I was slightly jealous of the Plad Shu Shee, though, a steamed fish dish that came with an entire fillet of fresh white fish. I was impressed by the options available for the vegetarians among our group and I wouldn't worry about taking friends here, almost no matter what their dietary requirements were. The early bird menu wasn't at all restrictive for me and for the price I would definitely come back to try more of it.
