Easily one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Dramatic sea stacks, tide pools, wildlife, and some of the most memorable sunsets you'll ever see. Bandon is famous for its rock formations, incredibly photogenic at any hour, but especially as the light shifts throughout the day. I booked a hotel directly across the street so I could watch this stretch of coastline transform from sunrise to dusk.
The beach itself is long and wonderfully walkable, perfect for hours of wandering. Even in the middle of July, we found peaceful stretches where we had the entire shoreline to ourselves. Be sure to also stop at Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint for sweeping panoramas.
