I don't understand the positive reviews here. The enchiladas had a very strong flavor that seemed like the sauce had been burned. Also, they were served with.....nothing. The fajitas were actually burned. I've heard of blackened shrimp but this was just not right. Salsa at start of meal was good, but a little sweet. The wait staff are absolutely awesome!!! The food was amazing and the tortilla chips are fresh, which I'm always a sucker for. Their guacamole is fantastic, and all of they are clear about spice levels on the menu. The decor inside creates a very warm environment. Good food and good people! read more

This place is not very good. The food was drowning in sauces. Clearly targeted towards hotel visitors. Many better restaurants nearby.

Concern from the time I pulled in at 6pm for dinner and only 4 cars in the parking lot. Once I saw the prices and the limited menu selection, I quickly understood why the place was empty. Food was merely fair. Drinking and food is extremely overpriced. Poor tasting, rail alcohol for $11 per drink is a bit overpriced. $83 for dinner for 2 and 1 drink per person is ridiculous. I won't be returning nor do I recommend this place. Cheaper to eat and drink at the hotel restaurant and the options are more abundant. read more

It's okay I am picky with Mexican food and this place did not impress me one bit. Drinks are good but small and pricey. Bandoleros is our new go to Mexican Restaurant and take out! One of our more frequent take-out cravings is Mexican food and we have been ordering from several restaurants in the area that are good but not great. Then we tried Bandoleros recently and have ordered from them numerous times now and are so thankful we found them! My wife LOVES their carnitas burrito and I usually get the Asada (steak) Fajitas. Every time our order was ready when promised and piping hot. The prices aren't cheap but the portions are definitely generous and the quality is top notch. read more

I've been 3 times now and the food is really good though for the price of some of the items, I think they should come with both rice and beans instead of making you choose one or the other. The house margarita is also done well (not too sour). My only real complaint is that each time the service has been slow to take our order and the last time I was there for lunch, we had to ask someone to come by after being ignored for 15-20 min. Then that person never put our order in and someone else had to come by. Then our food order was lost...our "quick lunch" took almost 2 hrs because of the service issues. But the Oaxaca Fajitas were delicious...it's just hard to get lunch in the middle of a work day somewhere where it might end up taking forever to get your order. read more

Just had lunch with some friends here. The server was very inattentive and slow to tend the table. Half of the orders were either incomplete or incorrect when the food was delivered. My food was completely forgotten, so on top of the initially 35 mins we waited for food to arrive, I had to wait another 15 for my plate. The food was tasty, but could not make up for the lack of service. If you are trying to have an enjoyable, carefree lunch, I do not recommend coming to this establishment. I have been here three times and had three different items, Tacos Birria entree (brisket), Carnitas Burrito, and Flautas (chicken, small plate). All three were outstanding. Who am I to claim to know what authentic Mexican food should taste like being of French-Canadian heritage and from Central Mass? That doesn't matter really when delicious food is involved. Suffice to say that what I ate on all three occasions tasted very fresh and absolutely delicious. The brisket was incredibly tender and they provided some 'gravy' for dipping. The salsa was exceptional. The carnitas burrito was also outstanding as well as the chicken flautas. Even the refried beans and rice were great. Service was friendly and on point. Also, I don't think they have enchiladas which was mentioned by the 1-star reviewer so take that for what it's worth. I will definitely be back again to try the margaritas. read more

This was a very nice place, which I will recommend to my friends. It was a little expensive, but pretty high-end; it was worth it. The service was pleasant, the drinks were inventive and nice. Try their answer to a G & T, with cucumber and a sprig of rosemary. My wife and I are vegetarians, and it's nice to have a lot of good options. Very tasty! Liked the small plate options. Companion and I split a small plate and large plate. Crispy pork came with a fruity/spicy dipping sauce as well as their excellent guacamole. Chicken enchilada with mole was just awesome. Superb presentation and equally superb flavor. Little niceties include a chilled bottle of water and chips+salsa to start. Good selection of bottled beer, very fruity sangria, and (according to companion) a delicious house margarita. Service was both polite and professional. Looking forward to a return visit! read more

I've been waiting to try this place out after hearing about it through FB. Went for lunch today. I was not disappointed. it was lunch so they weren't too busy and service was great. Had there version of Pole en Mole. It was really good. Little nervous because it looked very different than I am used to. Chips, salsa and guacamole were good as well. Will definitely go back. I had the most disgusting chicken quesadilla here recently. It was completely dry, hardly any cheese, and no sour cream included. It was not really edible. The bar was extremely slow. Hands down the best Mexican food I ever had. The service was exceptional very friendly and the chips kept coming. We stumbled on this place before a bike ride and I'm so glad we did. From the Mexican coke to the fish tacos with what seemed to be the best corn tortilla I've ever had (didn't break apart), the crispy taquitos, the moistest quesadilla I've ever had, and even the rice. I believe that one star says it all. Very nice building with a patio for outside dining. But... nothing about this place says Mexican - no decor or theme. The food (enchiladas) was really and truly so distasteful that I could not eat it. I sent it back (not something that I ever do by the way) and ate quacamole and chips as my dinner. The quacamole was ok, but tasted like something you would buy at the grocery store. My dining partner did eat half of her meal (vegetable frajitas) and then stopped eating it after it left her with a not so nice after taste. Margaritas were the only plus. This place has a lot of work to do before they can call this an authentic Mexican restaurant with authentic Mexican food. read more

As a Southern California resident, Mexican food is a staple of life. I have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants on the East Coast and have yet to find something that is actually Mexican food. Please stop making your cocktails so sweet! They're borderline undrinkable that's how sweet they are. I should not feel like I'm drinking candy. The food is far from authentic Mexican as they claim, more like Tex-Mex, heavy on the Tex part. The concept of a burrito smothered in queso sauce is kinda gross, definitely didn't need that but overall it was an ok burrito. The slaw on the shrimp tacos is mayo based and heavy. And on top of that they give you a saucer of aioli to top it off. Way too much mayo going on there. Also that's with only giving rice and not rice AND beans? Weird especially given how overpriced the place is. I feel like the people giving this place rave reviews are middle aged white folks who have barely stepped foot outside of central MA and think Chipotle is amazing. I do appreciate the warm chips and the salsa is pretty good. That's about it though. read more
