The meats for the tacos were a bit dried. Plantains and avocado were on point. I honestly like the location, since we don't have good Latino food on this side of SS. It was between 2-3 stars. I will definitely try it again.

I tried the cheese pupusas and unlike others in the area they are grillled and not deep fried. The pupusas are soft and cheesy and taste super great. My kids really enjoyed them and thought they were super yummy. Pair them nicely with corn tamales and orchata for the best meal. The food truck is close to Silver Spring and close to major intersections. Tell your friends and run to try the nuegados made of yuca / cassava which is gluten free. As a picky vegetarian and mom of picky eaters you will be very happy with the tasty flavors of corn you can taste and enjoy. The service was friendly and the staff is super attentive to special request. They recently added seating so make sure to stay and enjoy your meal al fresco. I do enjoy the good location which is quiet and peaceful unlike some of the other trucks with booming music. Check them out today for catering and special events too.

I was introduced to Trippy Taco via a Yelp experience. Since I was happy with what I saw (or…read morerather, with what I ate), I've dropped by Trippy Tacos on a few occasions to satisfy taco cravings. Overall, I cannot complain about the food, quality, service and price. Tacos will typically run $3-$4, which is a bit standard for the area, and they are loaded with plenty of fixings. Also, Trippy has daily specials for certain items on the menu. For small place, the restaurant has a pretty extensive Tex-Mex menu, so I think everyone should find something that they'll like. Although the restaurant has some seating, this place is more of a take-out spot. One tip: I highly recommend ordering before arriving to Trippy Taco, so you can simply grab and go. Unfortunately, parking is a bit limited and tight (like most places in this area). While the food, service and prices are pretty good, I'll admit that I would not go too far out of my way to visit since there are no shortage of Tex-Mex spots in the area. But, it's a great spot to check out on your way from Point A to Point B. Usually, I visit on my way home from the gym (to undo the benefits of my workout).

They were better than I expected. All looks very appetizing and smell so good. It seems really homemade style, fresh ingredients and aromatic. The chicken empanadas are surprisingly huge and you got 2 pieces for $11, that is reasonable, for me. As well as Tacos cost just about $3-4 each, it is a soft Taco with corn tortilla and flavorful seasoned filling, plus green salsa - that's perfect combination. I have not much to say about service, as it was a take out by online order but it was smoothly pick-up, everything was ready and packed nicely when I was arrived. The restaurant is quite tiny and old building at the back, but there are plenty free parking available around. Mainly for take out order but I think you can dine-in too - there are some seating table inside and outside. The Trippy Taco menu seem variety and interesting. They have not only Taco, but also a lot selection of Burrito, Soup, Quesadillas, Sandwich. Nacho and Fries. Yes, don't judge a book by its cover before you explore it.

We pulled up to the food truck parked in the gas station lot, with a seating area and a few parking spots next to the truck. It was a windy day so the windows were closed. We weren't sure if they were open when walking up but then a young lady opened the window to greet us. She asked if it was our first time. When we confirmed that it was she offered us a sample. She came back with a bowl of piping hot, dressed beef suya with a couple of picks for us to try. That was so smart because we were hooked! The meat was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The raw onions provided some crunch and a bit of a palette cleanse before the next bite. Originally we were thinking about getting the box. But the sample was so good, and we knew we wouldn't come back that way for a while, so we got a half tray of a mix of beef and wings along with a "small" tray of jollof. It took about 25-30 minutes for our big order to be ready. The young lady handed us this gorgeous insulated bag with Project Suya on it and it was hefty. She also slipped in a pineapple soda to our order for free. We had food for days! We got to enjoy the "Benito Bowl" while we ate West African grilled meats. Ah! The beauty of living in MOCO. Every time we ate the leftovers, we would talk about who we could share this delicious food with the next time we order it. The beef reheated very well, by the way. Also, a heads up, the pepper sauce that's served with the wings is not for the weak. It's delicious but start out with a little bit if you know what's good for you.

Tried ordering from them but the order never arrived. They were quick to take my payment though…read more Tried calling but the call goes straight to voicemail and the voicemail box is full. Skeptical that this place is real.
