Ok the ambience is not good but that is not what they are selling. If you want great tasting authentic Indian food, like eating at a "Dhaba" (small restaurant along side highways in India - serving hot great tasting low cost food) then my friends this is it. The cook made Paranthas just the way my mom used to at home. I couldn't believe it!!! Again the seating and ambience is a big negative, is like really bad. But the food is great and I give them 5 because they fit in a category that I love - To Go good Indian food 8/16/2018 - still great and good tasting food. Chicken Kroma (see pic) was to die for

Under new management. The chicken tikka roll is very good, the chicken and paratha tastes fresh and has a lot of flavor. The bihari kabob is bland, no not so good. There is very limited seating inside and they seem to lack heating so it's also very cold. I would say this is more of a carry out place. So why the 2 stars if the chicken tikka roll is very good? Well, the owner who was cooking in the back is very rude and unprofessional. While we were eating, we can hear her ferociously yelling at her waiter. She was relentless and everyone who was seated can hear her. On top of that, the waiter didn't even make that big of a mistake, I know because I heard it all. Very unprofessional.

No frills establishment. There are tables and chairs. This is the counter for ordering.

Went here for lunch one day... one hot day. The place did not have air conditioning. So, I brought my food back to the office. Lamb biryani and butter chicken for $18 something. Had enough food for three lunches and even shared some with a coworker. The butter chicken was so tasty. I loved the butter chicken. The surprise for me was the lamb biryani. The pieces of lamb were soft and tender even after reheating the next two days. There is no decor at the restaurant. Just tables and chairs and a counter. I guess you don't need much more for good food. I removed a star for having no AC and no washroom for customers.

Not everyone can cook great nihari--but this place truly can…read more A friend of mine was in Streamwood this weekend and happened to come across Zahid Nihari. Since my nickname is Zahid and he knows how much I love nihari, he snapped a photo of the restaurant and sent it to me. I jokingly told him to bring some for the "owner" (meaning me), but I didn't expect him to take it seriously. He ended up dining there, loved the nihari, and decided to order an extra portion to go. Then he drove seven and a half hours all the way to Minneapolis and delivered it to me today. After reheating it, I can honestly say--it was absolutely delicious. I usually don't write reviews for places I haven't visited in person. However, after tasting the nihari from Zahid Nihari, I was genuinely impressed and felt compelled to share my experience. This restaurant is now at the top of my list for future trips to the greater Chicago area. Wishing them all the very best! P.S.: I'm not the owner and have no affiliation with Zahid Nihari--I just happen to share the same name.

This restaurant is amazing when it comes to food quality and quantity, service, decor, good attitude. I ordered halwa puri and it was great. Comes in a big thali that has allo ki bujiya, chana masala, halwa and puri, the staff was very attentive and was walking around to make sure everyone was okay. The checkout was great. My only suggestion is to improve the bathroom cleanliness, I know people just make it messy doesn't matter how many times you clean it but still a good restaurant deserves a clean bathroom. It was still better than most restaurants I have seen but still the room for improvement is always there.

We had Nihari and Bihari kabab which was delicious. Awesome and amazing service provide by Tairead more

Just went here again and it has fallen off hard. They redid the interior and tables for some reason…read more(it's pretty outdated already somehow) and have raised prices as a result. The portions have reduced and there's also now a credit card fee. Nothing looks the way it does in the last pictures anymore. The service was alright but a baby threw up everywhere and then a man sprayed febreeze after they wiped it off and it made it super hard to eat with the febreeze smell. There was one really nice waiter, unfortunately i didn't catch his name but he did check on us since we were waiting for some time and we appreciated that. As for the food, everything except the beef hakka noodles were bad. Very under salted and way too much cabbage in the fried rice. The gola kabobs were decent portion but dry and something you'd expect from someone who just started learning how to make them last week. The rice we got with the chicken manchurian was not fresh and the chutney with the kabob was watered down and about to go bad. In fact the manchurian itself almost tasted watery. Literally spent almost $100 to walk out with the aftertaste of raw cabbage, can't go back again. Oh also weirdest part was that we were only given forks to eat with, no spoons or knives in sight! The menu format has changed as well but somehow the prices are still not accurate to the bill at the end! Be careful and take pics of the menu to compare if you need to.

We ordered a crispy chicken wrap, tandoori chicken shawarma wrap (recommended by the staff), mango chicken tacos, signature fries (a bit spicy) and samosas to go. Everything tasted delicious but we especially loved the crispy chicken, tacos abs samosas! There are plenty of seats inside and they have this amazing mural/art installation - very cool. Niwaala is located at the end of strip mall with a weird one-way parking. Look for the Famous liquor store sign.

It has a "cooling" effect to tone down authentic Indian spice levels Even he would never eat here again For true delicious Indian food, in the Spring and summer we do not go to Devon Ave We go downtown Chicago to Indian Garden for food that tastes the same as food in India They offer a very nice buffet at lunchtime 7 days a week
