So with all the pizzerias in the area you would think they were more competitive... but they're not. I walked in to an empty restaurant craving a few slices of pepperoni pizza. Luckily, since no one was there, I was served right away for takeout by a very nice woman by the name of Joscelyn and she's the only reason why I'm giving this place more than one star. She was on point with service. I was handed a menu and when I didn't see pepperoni pizza as an option I asked her about it to which she told me: they don't serve that kind of pizza. Okay.... so I asked for this special they have with two slices (names were confusing- she said one was called mozzi, short for mozzarella). Once I got the slices I headed out. Just happened by and was glad to find this pizza place. I was told that this is a pizzeria from 1932 in Buenos Aires that finally left Argentina to grow outside of the United States. Turns out the pizza looked incredible and tasted even better. It was a stuffed crust pizza with the cheese and fillings on the inside olives and red peppers on the outside. Although the peppers are actually called morron. Combined with great beers on tap it would be a great place to walk into off the beach which is right around the corner. Banchero exceeded expectations! Went to the pizza shop with 15 min on the parking meter and wanted a large pie. A half and half Caprese and other Blue Cheese specialty. We tried a shop just across the street first and the wait was 1 hr and 20 min to get a pie, but Banchero was ready in 15 min as promised. The pizza was delicious and hearty. Would definitely go back. I am soooooo happy this place exists!!! Being from argentina, when I found out there was an Argentine pizzeria in Miami Beach, I got excited and nervous at the same time. Nervous that I would be disappointed, and would continue missing Argentine pizza. We started off with empanadas which were amazing and kept my hopes up that I would be enjoying the best pizza in miami. Once they brought the pizza and fugazzeta to the table, I knew I was about to taste a little bit of home. With the look and smell I was transported back to Buenos Aires. You have to try this pizza and also try the fugazzeta, and no need to ask for extra cheese. Argentine pizza already come with a very generous amount of cheese that when you serve a slice, that cheese can stretch over a mile. We said that they should serve the pizza along with a pair of scissors to be able to cut all the strings of cheese. I am so happy this place exists. I am already counting the days to go back. Delicious! This style pizza is somewhere between Chicago and Detroit style pizza. As someone who's lived in Chicago/Midwest for half my life, I can say with authority that I was impressed with the delicious slices. I ordered the classic pepperoni (which was loaded with toppings) and the cheese really melted, I mean REALLY melted. 3.5 stars. I came here with my family from Uruguay. My dad said they have this pizza chain in Buenos Aires. As an avid pizza eater, I thought it would be good to try the fugazetta rellena, an Argentinean specialty (which I'm pretty sure Banchero calls fugazza con queso). The menu is totally in Spanish and I didn't realize it until later. We ordered the fugazza rellena con cebolla and the caprese. The friendly waitress brought out the caprese first and the crust was much thicker and fluffier than I would have preferred. I would have liked more tomato sauce, which was pretty good, on the caprese. The fugazza con queso came out second. I didn't like this one as much as the caprese due to the excessive amount of cheese, but it was okay. They also apparently have pasta off-menu here, so if you'd rather have that, let the staff know. read more
