I've recently discovered Designer Shoe Warehouse, actually noticing that there is a store near…read morewhere I work and another store close to where I live. This is review is for the Dunwoody DSW that is located near where I live. This store is in the Perimeter area in the Perimeter Village shopping center, and it has a big parking lot which means ample parking spaces. This is a big DSW, with lots of wide aisles so you don't have to worry about tripping over people while they're trying on shoes, or being stepped on while you're trying on shoes. There are shoes for the whole family (wait, I'm not sure if they have baby shoes, but, then, do babies really need to wear shoes?), and this is a big store that is well light throughout. I like that this is one of those stores where most adults can walk in and see which section interests them because the shelving isn't that tall. Single shoes are displayed as samples on the shelves, with the inventory for that shoe below in boxes so customers can easily locate the shoes size they need and try them on. The men's section is on the far left side of the store as you walk in. I was surprised with the various types (formal looking, casual, flip flops, sandals, boots, oxfords, etc.), quality (well made leather to shoes you know are going to only last one season), and prices (starting under $20 to over $100) of men's shoes. I found comfortable work shoes at decent prices. I'm glad I'm not one of those shoe hoarders, because I know I would've bought way too many pairs of shoes than I need. Just realize that Designer Shoe Warehouse is more warehouse than designer, since you won't find any high end designer shoes here. This place is definitely the store to come to when you want to save money vs quality department stores. Customers can save even more money by finding shoes that they like on clearance. The men's clearance racks are also on the left side but waaaaaaaay in the back. Shoes on sale, some at deep discounts, can be found in this section. There is only one checkout line that leads to multiple registers. Unfortunately, there were only one registers open with many people waiting in line when I was there. Overall I'm a fan of this store.

SOMETHING FOR THE BIG GIRLS AS WELL!…read more I had not visited this plaza in years since my favorite store closed. As I was checking out a couple of the new tenants, I decided to stop by Cato. The one thing that I enjoy about this store is their displays and their organization. The racks are always neat and organized and the girls do a great job of staging the items. Like colors are always together so that you can easily coordinate and pull that outfit together. This store carries two sections, misses and plus so that it easy to find your ideal size. They also carry bags, jewelry, hats and gloves, undergarments and shoes. If you carry extra weight, this place is ideal because they carry figure flattering tunics, dresses and covers. The covers are great for layering and do not add bulk, they come in sleeveless, short sleeves and long sleeves. Today, I scored a maxi length cover that can be worn with a dress, leggings or jeans. I love pieces that can be styled in various ways. I also purchased a red tunic that will be great for the holidays. It is still relatively warm so adding light layers is a nice way to transition into fall. If you like light weight denim pieces, ( in rayon and tencel), they had those items available as well in prints and solids. The staff was very engaging, helpful and available to provide assistance as needed.
