The tapioca is well made and not powdery/chalky like other tapioca spots. I usually get jasmine milk tea with tapioca and it's always had just the right amount of sweetness. I highly recommend this place to get a sweet tooth fix or to even hang out at. It is very clean and the staff are always friendly. Did I mention they even have kolaches, snowcones, and egg rolls?! Tried this location for the first time and was not disappointed. I ordered Bambu Special #10 which has red tapioca, grass jelly, pandan jelly, and coconut juice. This is my favorite cause I'm never really a bean person. So if you aren't either, this is a good choice for you. My sister had a strawberry smoothie. This was one of the better strawberry smoothies I've tried. Very sweet and creamy. The store is really new and clean. It was quiet when I got there. Sometimes after a day filled with flying, I just need some delicious che to continue my day. Thank goodness this location is on the way home from the airport. I always get the #1 or the #6. Both are delicious but satisfy different cravings. When I need something refreshing but not creamy and heavy, I get the #1. When I want something more filling and creamier, the #6 is my choice. Both got a great amount of jellies and fruit. The service here is always quick. I've never seen this place busy but the product is just as good as anywhere else. For now, I am giving this place one star even though I have not tried it. The reason being that I checked what time they closed and I got there an hour before closing. As soon as the people saw my sister and I walking towards their place, they immediately shut off their lights. There was no sign of why they were closing early or anything so my sister and I left very disappointed. I called the place the very next day very upset and told them what happened. They did not apologize or anything and was told that sometimes the manager has to leave so that is why they close unexpectedly and that it was "best to go before 8 p.m." Personally, I found this ridiculous and disrespectful to the consumer. I will rethink about trying it and give you an update but with that answer, there is no way that this place deserves five stars. November 23, 2013...Update: I went back last weekend and was treated very well. Perhaps I overreacted but I still believe that their answer it totally ridiculous and the fact that sometimes they may close without prior notice. The boba tea was good and the decor is great. I usually order the #1 Bambu Special. It isn't much, but I like the combination of coconut, basil seeds, longan, and pandan jelly. All this stuff can be made at home with a cheaper price. I'll complain it's a bit pricey for $5 since I have seen the COG, but it's a business! Definitely great for a sweet dessert/drink. I see they serve tapioca/boba/bubble tea now. The drinks are delicious! I recommend the Bambu special #1: pandan jelly, longan, basil seeds, fresh slices of shaved coconut in coconut water with a scoop of shaved ice. My husband got the taro coconut smoothie and it was quite tasty as well: not too sweet and the tapioca was nice and chewy! I heard they started offering kolaches. I sampled a free kolache bite and it was a pleasant surprise. You wouldn't expect a drink/dessert place would have have tasty kolaches, but this place does! The dough had a nice sweetness to it. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was crisp and clean. It's by far the cleanest BAMBU we've been to. You can tell the owners really take pride in their shop. We will be back soon! read more
