This place is amazing! It looks dated from the outside but the service and food here are SO great! We started with the dumplings which had a nice thin crispy exterior with a delectable chicken filling. Don't forget the sauce that tasted a little salty, a little vinegary, and with a little kick. Next we each had a lunch special. It came with excellent won ton soup. The broth was delicious and perfectly spiced. The won tons were soft with the perfect size and filling. The Mongolian beef was savory and left me wanting more beef! (Next time I'm ordering it off the main menu!) the braised shrimp had a sweet and spicy sauce that was tasty. By far the best Chinese food in Ensenada. Had the BBQ pork, egg rolls to die for, sizzling beef, fried rice, wLnut shrimp and sweet and sour pork. All I can say is come hungry. Also please laugh at the bad reviews. The potions are huge, about $7 each, incredibly fresh and some of the best Chinese food I've had. Today I was looking for a good Chinese restaurant in Ensenada. After reading the reviews (Only one bad) I decided to visit the establishment. We ordered Diet Coke, four fried shrimp appetizer, Mongolian beef and KungPao chicken . The shrimp was deep fried in old, burnt oil. Both plated dishes where acceptable but the chili oil came with a spoon in it that should have got them shut down (picture) My companion got sick before we got back to the hotel. The place looks lo it should have been closed a long time ago. It's tired and filthy in the FOH. I don't think I would expect any better in the BOH. Being a restaurantour for over 20 years I could not recommend this place a this time just on health concerns. I hope the owners decide to remodel and clean this place.... After weeks of great Mexican specialties, we just needed some Chinese food. A friend recommended Bamboo Garden and we were lucky, since it was so close that we could walk from where we are staying. I expected it to be the very small place we walked by a couple days ago but we were surprised how beautiful and large it was! The outside has a large sign with lots of twinkling lights. Inside is very traditional with many photos and decorations and was extremely clean and orderly. We chose our table (we eat early so we were the only ones there) and selected drinks. My husband chose a Tsing Tao beer which was a perfect pair for the food and I selected hot green tea and it was really good (may even have come from tea leaves!) She also brought out some crunchy noodles with hot mustard and sweet and sour sauce. They were good and a bit crunchy but slightly addicting and we had trouble stopping! Hubs lived in New York City growing up and loves a good egg roll but is usually disappointed. But we got an order of 4 and they were very good. They weren't the fat and greasy kind he loves but he really enjoyed them (he ate 2!). The outside had layers that were crispy and the inside was cooked perfectly with meat and vegetables. Our entrees were from the Combinations that came with an egg roll, a fried shrimp, wonton soup and fried rice. Now we have 3 egg rolls to take home and heat in the toaster oven. LOL! The fried shrimp breading was so light and crispy and the shrimp was good sized and tasty. The wonton soup had the most delicate and wonderful broth, tender, flavorful chicken with the most delicious homemade wontons! It was some of the best we've ever had! The fried rice was good too. Hubby had the shrimp with lobster sauce and I had the Mongolian beef for entrees. The shrimp with lobster sauce was outstanding. Plenty of good sized shrimp in a delicious sauce. The Mongolian beef was tender beef with caramelized onions in a sauce that was just amazing! In fact, they was so good that we only had the 3 extra egg rolls and a bit of rice to take home! I'm glad we were walking as we need to walk some of it off!! The owners were both in the restaurant and were so very nice and friendly. The wife waited on us and was delightful. We will definitely be back soon to try some of their specialties like the Hong Kong Crab or Peking Duck but I'm sure whatever you try will be wonderful! read more

We ate at this restaurant early last month, because one of my uncle and aunt recommended for their fresh, wonderful, and cheap seafood. Wonderful and fresh it was. However, it was not cheap. Pricer than here in the States. I will say that the owners were very friendly as they normally do not get a long distance phone call for the purpose of trying their seafood. read more

I always have a hard time finding a good place to eat in Ensenada, but today we finally found a something delicious! I'm a hard critic when it comes to food I always seem to find a "but"! Hands down best Chinese food I've had in a long time and I found it in Ensenada ?! We ordered the shrimp fried rice it had fresh shrimp jumbo shrimp may I add, we also ordered the orange chicken and the sweet and sour chicken. Our food was hot when we got it and tasted freshly cooked with authentic ingredients! The place is a little outdated but that's not important to me as it is getting a hot freshly cooked when ordered meal. We will definitely be back to this place when in Ensenada. read more

Tourists Beware! We arrived at 1145am and found an employee waiting outside. She let us know that they opened at 12pm. No issue, we walked around the Ensenada 'pier' for a while and did some shopping. We came back at 1215 very hungry to find the employees still outside. The owner showed up about 5 min later and opened. She explained that she needed to go buy fresh vegetables for the day, we understood. The food was okay. Nothing really stood out. Small portions for the price. We ordered dumplings, Orange chicken, chicken chow mein, Mongolian beef and steamed rice. They also give complimentary crispy noodles but unfortunately they were very stale. The Mongolian beef was about 90% onions with a little beef and had a weird sour smell but tasted of nothing but ginger, my boyfriend didn't like it. The rice was very wet and mushy. The drinks that we ordered were flat for some reason. They gave us bottled sodas as most places in Mexico do but idk if they were previously opened or not but there was no carbonation on 2 of them which was very strange. But the reason for the review is the service we were given when it came time to pay. The conversion of pesos to dollars was at 18.5-19 pesos per dollar at the time of our visit depending on where we went. So when we received our check for 900 pesos and were told that it would be 56$ in American dollars we were a bit confused. We informed the owner that most places were taking the dollar at 19 pesos and the least was 18.5. We were told BY THE OWNER that she does not follow or much less care what the market is. She charges what she charges so that she doesn't have to constantly change the prices of her menu. . . The prices of the menu has nothing to do with the pesos to dollar conversion. We speak Spanish and English so there was no language barrier. She seemed to only speak English so we understood her and she understood us clearly, she just didn't care. She kept repeating that she doesn't change the price of her menu. She defended her actions by saying that she has regulars that have never complained about the price but her 'regulars' are more than likely people who live there and are paying in pesos so they don't have to deal with the conversion. In the end we were sick of her repeating herself and decided to pay and no longer try to explain that she is robbing people of money and really should go by what the market is. Again she didn't care. We paid and left but ran out after us saying we shorted her a dollar. We didn't. . We may have given her restaurant another chance and ordered something different next time if it wasn't for her attitude at the end. NEVER AGAIN! And if she keeps treating customers like this she will surely go out of business soon. We were the only customers at the time. The place was DEAD and it was a weekend. read more

This restaurant is a quiet little place half a block from the main strip. We had the Kung Pao chicken, wonton soup, beef and broccoli, pan fried green beans and the wonton appetizer. The soup hit the spot after having eaten a lot of tacos all week long. The food was tasty enough for us to have as something different from the usual for the area. If you want to take a break from the standard seafood tacos, this is a good place to try. read more
