As a private park it is very clean and well looked after with the paths looking fresh and the overall aesthetic of the park looking much more groomed than many other trails in Austin. The trail itself is pretty easy to walk through and there are no difficult areas to get by. Lining the trail are different areas to do workouts which is nice to see and there are also sporting areas at the community center as well. The foliage looked great and the rest of the open areas seemed well put together. This is definitely a fantastic park to walk through with family, friends, or dogs if you're in the area.

After our discussion we selected the perfect size hoop for our driveway without overbearing the curb appeal of the house. His team was out to our home the next business day to install the anchor. Once that had cured, our new hoop was installed. It looks like a professional court in my driveway and as if the concrete base was always there. It blends in perfectly with the driveway. As for the hoop, its fully adjustable, powder coat painted, padded, and totally awesome. The hoop is top quality and looks like it'll last for years to come. This recreation center…read moresits in the midst of a huge complex that includes a church, a high school, and athletic complex, a sports field for the high school, a recreation center and this is the second year we have experienced The Quarries Camps. The campus surrounds a beautiful lake where kayaking and canoeing and fishing all provide fun, while the view of a lake that looks like it's capped in shimmering glass is really special! So I'm now going to focus on the Quarry Camp-and I may open a Yelp location separate for the Camps -(yep -they have multiple camps available). Since my grandsons have been to Quarry Camp two years consecutively it is the one we have the most experience with. They make it very easy to register, sign waivers, choose if you want a full week or to come in whatever days you prefer. I found the cost to be less than many other camps and more than a few camps in our area. I wanted to lock down the weeks we needed early, as our grandson had specifically requested to return here this year. (They did end up offering a discount for booking early and even though we had booked prior to the offer, they didn't hesitate to send me a check for $40 which was the discount amount -immediately after the discount was offered.) Here is a description of the activities included in a full week at Quarry Camp. MONDAY-is a day spent at the camp itself. Getting your child settled in -meet their specific group camp counselors, learn the sign in -sign out process-and most importantly take advantage of the ability to give cash for snacks which they put on a card that can then be used based on your specifications. For example we felt $2 a day was enough for the snack bar daily-so we gave them a $10 bill asking he only be allowed to spend $2/day and they take it from there. The kids have free play the first couple hours in the humongous gymnasium, complete with a large bouncy house in one area, lots of basketballs and hoops, soccer balls etc. After lunch they go up to the "Game Room" which is one of the rooms available upstairs that has pool tables, multiple televisions, air hockey and more. TUESDAY-they all get on a bus and go to a different building with in the compound for a movie , popcorn and a soft drink. After lunch gym play and game room and they go down to the snack bar about 45 minutes before camp ends at 4PM. WEDNESDAY-is water park day! A favorite of all the kids. They can wear or bring appropriate swimwear and water shoes and lots of sunscreen is encouraged. Typhoon Texas is a large water park in Austin. They provide lunch on Wednesday catered at the water park by "Raising Canes" Chicken fingers, fries and tea or lemonade. The kids had a blast with a couple hours available before and after lunch so the kids had plenty of time to experience it all. THURSDAY-is jump park day. A trip to Altitude is in order. Child centered play, with Free time built in. Game Room and Gym when you return. FRIDAY-is a fun filled day which wraps up the week! A picnic, then play along the shoreline of the lake as well as kayaking and canoeing . Some general info: The size of the groups the kids are divvied into (based on age) is manageable and they have adequate staff assigned to each group-however they all work well together for larger activities. Kudo's to the Counselor Team, helpful, -smiling-always cheerfully greeting the child when they arrive in the mornings. We've not experienced any team member that didn't seem happy to be there! The kids bring a water bottle daily along with their lunch-the exception being Wednesday when they have a catered lunch at the water park . Camp hours are 0800-1600 however there is flexibility so coming late or leaving early is permissible. If you want to attend all the group outings you do need to be there by 0930 as that is when the bus leaves. This camp provides a safe, enjoyable camp experience and I'm guessing I will get a request to return next year !!!! Definitely a Five Star experience for our family!

We…read moreuse the club consistently, follow the policies, and pay a significant amount each month for what is marketed as a premium experience. There are many things I genuinely appreciate about Life Time, particularly the instructors, who have consistently been one of the strongest parts of the club. Unfortunately, my experience with Kids Academy has become increasingly disappointing, and an interaction today brought several longstanding concerns to a head. First, policies need to be communicated and enforced consistently. When something is permitted one day and prohibited the next--or seems to depend on which employee is working--it becomes very difficult for members to understand what is actually expected of them. I am completely willing to follow the rules. I simply expect those rules to be clear, consistent, and communicated respectfully. More concerning was the manner in which my children and I were spoken to today. My children are also members of this club, and regardless of a disagreement or policy issue, I expect employees working with children to communicate with them respectfully. I was extremely disappointed by the tone and demeanor used toward them. This experience is especially troubling because I have already had concerns about what I have personally observed in Kids Academy over time. I have repeatedly seen very young children crying or visibly distressed for extended periods, ignored and wandering desperately seeking caregiver attention, and interactions that, in my opinion, lack the warmth, patience, and attentiveness I would expect from a childcare environment, the lack of genuine care for the children is appalling. This is not up to standard- particularly those associated with what should be a premium family membership. I recognize that this is gym childcare and not a preschool, and my expectations reflect that distinction. However, basic attentiveness, kindness, appropriate supervision, and respectful communication with children should not be considered premium amenities. They should be the minimum standard. There are certainly kind employees in Kids Academy, including some of the younger staff members who have been wonderful with my children. My concern is not intended as a blanket criticism of every person working there. It is that the overall quality and consistency of the childcare experience does not seem aligned with the standard Life Time promotes elsewhere in the club. My children are older and are able to communicate clearly with me about their experiences and advocate for themselves. Based solely on what I have personally observed, I would NOT leave a very young child who cannot yet communicate independently. I don't expect perfection, and one unpleasant interaction would not ordinarily cause me to reconsider a membership I have and one I would like to maintain. But when inconsistent policies, poor customer service, and concerns about the environment in which members' children are being cared for begin to form a pattern, it deserves attention. Life Time charges a premium price and presents itself as a premium club. I believe it is reasonable for members to expect the quality, professionalism, and customer service in Kids Academy to reflect that same standard. After today's experience, I am genuinely questioning whether the value of our membership continues to justify the cost.

This recreation center seems to have everything you're looking for whether you are young or old…read more Near the main entrance is a meeting room where seniors gather to play dominoes and off to the side is a very large gymnasium for basketball. They have a very well equipped fitness room complete with free weights. Other amenities include a skate park along with the pool table and ping-pong. If you want to join, there are varying rates as to whether or not you live in this MUD or not. The reason for our visit was the fact that they also offer free tax help during tax time. So if you want your taxes done or you want to check out one of the many programs they have at this rec center, I suggest you look at the photos below for more information.

Best for older kids since you do lose sight of them when they're inside (made me a bit nervous with my 3.5 year old). Additionally, this park has a homestead. Really cool. You can wander around and see all the structures. The inside can be viewed via tour only. However, they are nice enough to leave one window open so you can peek inside. Had no issue snagging street parking nearby.

This event was held in the parking lot of the park and tons of people showed up. In one of the buildings nearby, there was an area set up for free photos, complete with a professional photographer. Shout out to Wells Branch MUD Parks & Recreation for this fun & memorable event!

The park sits on two or more acres which means it has plenty of green space. Despite all the amenities, some things I did not spot were public bathrooms, covered picnic table area, and a swimming pool, but there is a parking lot. There are some benches and picnic tables scattered throughout the property, found usually under some of the large oak trees. This is a local public park just off of Duval on Big trail. This park is basically a large green space with a gravel trail that both runs around the park and through the park. There is a large covered picnic table area with a huge swing next to it and swings for the kids behind it. There is also a grill in case you want to cook out. Further inside the park and hidden from the road is a large children's playscape with swings. The park is well-maintained with a large number of oak trees and cacti on the property. There is also a basketball court and a few picnic tables scattered along the property. In the spring you will find this park to be a great place to view wildflowers. The reason this park is not five stars, is because there is no water fountain, no bathrooms, no pool, and no paved trail. Nonetheless, it is a great asset to the local community and for the local residents to enjoy. You should add this park to your morning walk list. Great option for hiking -- large park with lots of trails…read more According to my quick research, there's only one paved trail -- Northern Walnut Creek Trail. We had our kids in a wagon stroller so needed a stroller-friendly trail. It's a long trail (not a loop) so we just walked it to the creek and turned back. Trailhead is to the right of playground. Playground was pretty nice (with an area for smaller toddlers) but parents could have been more conscientious (some kids were throwing rocks down the slide).

Their appears to be softbal fields on one side of the park. This park is massive! We see other leisurely morning walkers, folks with their fur babies on leashes and even small groups of family members and friends enjoying the park. We did not realize until reading the signage, that Walnut Creek park is a nature park. Totally makes sense given the lush nature of the park. Cyclists ride down the trail with vigor and position. The park is alive! Really enjoyed our power walk.., This family friendly park has an array of playground equipment for children. The is also a large empty swimming pool in background...unsure if it's operational. Picnic tables are strategically sprinkled throughout the park.
