There was no pressure, no gatekeeping, just pure good vibes. I wasn't even into Labubu or blind boxes before this stop and then I left with two Labubus for myself and one for my friend. Since then, I've fallen deep into the blind box universe and now know way more than I ever expected about Baby Three, Hirono, Nanci, Molly, and more. This is thanks largely to Whatnot spirals and this store setting the spark! What's wild is that looking back now, this shop carries so many high-demand blind boxes that are hard to find elsewhere. If you're even blind-box curious, this is the place that will tip you over the edge (in the best way). Friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly curated by someone who actually loves the community. Despite the endless aisles of manga, I've surprisingly noticed that they're missing a few decently known manga. Unless I keep missing it, I've never seen The Case Study of Vanitas in their aisle, but they have the author's other work, Pandora Hearts, in there, for example. I would also say Kinokuniya is limited with their selection of anime goodies. I like that they're all very much authentic and different from your typical anime store selling pop figures and easy to find Bandai/Banpresto stuff, but their blind box selections are also becoming easy to find in other places because it's all the mainstream shows. A great friend of mine brought me here last month as I was about to leave to go back home, and she showed me some of the fidget toys she had bought for herself. I instantly had to have a few of them and fortunately, they had them in stock. There is something so amazing about picking up what you think you wish to purchase and be able to hold that item in your hand and the Toy Tree is one such place to have this connection. The young lady who helped us was amazing and super friendly and helpful. This has the feel of a store that has been in someone's family line for a long time, although this is not based on fact. What I can say is factual, is this is an amazing store for the young and young at heart.
