If you are looking for an affordable corn maize that is well worth your time, go literally anywhere…read moreelse than the Maize at Little Darby Creek. First off, the pricing is inconsistent and makes no sense. The website says $15 per person for the base admission. When you get there, you are delightfully informed that it is actually $17 per person if you are buying tickets directly at the maize, and $15 online. Nowhere on the website does it make this point clear, and it should. The rule just exists to punish those who don't pay ahead of time so that these morons can gauge you again. Secondly, the haunted maize process is way too complicated. If you decide you want to do it after you have already entered the maize, you must leave the maize, go back to the main entrance, wait in another long line, and pay just to get added to a waitlist, where you have to wait, again. They love wasting your time. And THEN, once you get added to the waitlist, you must wait in ANOTHER LINE to get back into the maize, because the wristband checker can only get one done every 5 minutes. Even if you pay to do the haunted maize, you are not guaranteed a slot, even if you are on the waitlist, and you will not get your money back if this mismanaged HELLHOLE can't manage to get you in, which they probably won't be able to, because they don't have a number they cap the haunted maize entries at. For food, most of the vendors ran out hours before the night ended, and for the official food vendor, they only had one line, of I kid you not, about 50 people being serviced by one worker, when it could have easily been split between 10 workers and gone much faster. You don't need 10 people putting already made hotdogs on a counter. You need 5 people taking orders and 5 assembling the food. That's simple business. In terms of activities, nothing has been updated in the last 10 years. It looks the same every time. There were hardly any workers available to ask questions to, but if there were, I'm sure they would have hit you with a Venmo request before they spoke even a single word. All of the main activities were unimpressive. The corn maize lasted 5 minutes. Every main activity has subpar equipment that nobody would want to play with. For example, in the ball throwing area, they only supply a few balls that are all old and coming apart at the seams. For the football throwing area, almost every ball is flat and old. So naturally you are guilt tripped to spend even more money to do the events that are actually worth your time. I could keep going but I am getting tired. Worst $200 I have ever spent. My group was bored out of their minds. Give up, Maize at Little Darby Creek. Let your land become another Walmart. Something that serves the community. You are past your prime.
