There was a handwashing station near the animal and corn box barns, which I appreciated. We had a apple cider slushie, which tasted like taking a bite off a freshly picked apple, which was perfect for the warm day.

A & R Alpaca Farm is such a fantastic experience for anyone who likes to interact with friendly…read morelivestock. My girlfriend had seen an ad somewhere (possibly on Facebook), and with my farm-loving mother coming to town from Canada, we knew we had to go. They don't have dedicated hours posted anywhere, as they're indeed a working farm, but after reaching out on Facebook Messenger and then calling, we were able to arrange for a visit the next day. Located about 45 minutes outside of Columbus, A & R Alpaca Farm is quite nondescript from the outside -- miles of agricultural properties surround it, and there's no overt signage marking this farm in particular...but as we nearly overshot the property, we saw a few alpacas off in the distance, and found the place without issue. As we pulled in, Aaron and Robin (the "A" and "R" of the name) had just come back from feeding the herd, and they invited us to enter the stable...which had dozens upon dozens of curious alpacas (not to mention a cat, a couple of big dogs, and several chickens) all monitoring our arrival. Robin was incredibly friendly, and after we spent a few minutes petting alpacas in a larger pen, she brought us into a smaller pen with perhaps twenty alpacas, and gave us little "cookies" to feed them with. Much to our surprise, Robin had not only named all of the alpacas (the farm has around 120 heads overall), but also managed to *remember* all of their names...and some alpacas seemed to respond when called. All the alpacas had different personalities, with some being aloof and flighty, and others being downright affectionate. One in particular had special affinity for being photographed. As soon as she saw the smart phone come out, she would come forward for a perfect photo op (seriously, folks -- I can't make this stuff up). After around 45 minutes of hanging out with the alpacas, we went into the gift shop, where there were many unique items made from alpaca yarn. Stuffed animals, toys, clothing, gloves, skeins of yarn were all available, and given that the proprietors didn't charge for our little tour, we made a point of buying a lot of goods...not as compensation, but because the goods are indeed worthwhile. If the words "alpaca gloves" don't make you want to drive there immediately, after this long and cold Columbus winter, I don't know what else will. In all seriousness, there's really nothing not to like about A & R Alpaca Farm. Robin and Aaron are kind and enthusiastic about their business, the alpacas are docile and generally willing to be petted, and the whole trip makes for a unique and delightful experience. It *is* worth noting that the animals are livestock, and it is a working farm, so you'll want to wear boots and clothes that you don't mind smelling like alpaca afterwards, but to my mind, that's more of a "perk" than a detriment.

Went on a Saturday around 12, started to get pretty busy around 12:45-1:30. Which makes the…read morecave/cavers very tight to walk through. While your down there your using a provided map to guide yourself around and match the corresponding areas ( Ex; A to A or 1-1 ) We went after it had just rained the night before, so everything was VERY wet. Wear waterproof/walking shoes if you plan on exploring. Be prepared to get dripped on by very cold water coming off nearby rocks, and the "ceiling". Coming down the initial very steep stairs is a beautiful view of different levels of rocks decending into a tunnel/cave where the rest of the cavers are. Tons of puddles all over the ground from collected rain water and the "droplets". Most the areas are about big enough for one person to walk through the tunnel areas at one time, and if your a larger person i DO NOT recommend going down there. Some areas are extremely tight and really only accessible to someone under 4'5 and around 100 pounds or less. (Im 5'4, 140 and some areas i almost got stuck cause it was too tight going through the rocks. It is neat to see though, i dont think id want to do it again as it is just wet rocks and the furthest tunnel was closed from the previous year that occurred from some heavy rain water. (The water collected, over time causing a collapse). So that was kind of a bummer but i get it for safety reasons. The gem mining was fun, definitely loaded with a lot of "gravel" type rocks so that was new for me, Ive only ever had ones with dirt/sand that yield rocks/gems/shark teeth. We found some really interesting gemstones in each tray. The petting zoo was great. I thought it wad Going to be boring and smelly, and i was happily wrong. The goats were adorable, when we came in a baby jumped through the fence and was following our group. And when we came inside the "pen" to pet them he ran back in it was very cute! The deer were a little skittish but very sweet and gentle. The treasure hunt/maze was VERY fun we enjoyed getting different prizes snd trading them within the group.

I've NEVER seen a "pumpkin patch" location with as much going on, and we've gone to a ton across the Midwest. I'm not going to list them all, since they probably will add more, but definitely check out their website. It may or may not scratch the itch of what adults-only may be looking for. With tons of kids running around and a focus on activities and games, it clearly is meant to be a kid space. The "pick your own pumpkin" is really deep into the property, many of the fall-leaf trees have been cleared out for more activity space, and with a single food/drink vendor on property (with a line that reflects it, and I don't know that I saw any alcoholic beverages), adults may not find this a "fall experience" that is necessarily focused on them. That being said, adults-only groups will still really enjoy looking around the place, being impressed by the creativity of so many of the games, taking advantage of the cool photo spots around the property, and getting lots and lots of steps in. (Some of the activities are adult-friendly as well - just not most of them!) NOTES: -Accessibility: almost all of Lehner's Pumpkin Farm is, well, a rural farm. Expect to be walking on uneven ground including gravel, grass, farmland, uneven hardened mud, and more. Unlike some pumpkin/fall farm activities out there, almost nothing about Lehner's is paved. Wheelchairs can still work for many areas here, but as it's grass, mud, and gravel with tons of uphill and downhill, it's not an easy endeavor. They do have wheelchair-accessible porta-potties and indoor bathrooms (but those are a noticeable walk!) -Bring your walking shoes! Lehner's is EXPANSIVE, and you walk pretty much everywhere. -There are porta-potties (clean, even at the end of the season on the tail end of a weekend) including multiple spacious, wheelchair-designed ones. There are indoor bathrooms in the event house that's on the far-right of the Lehner's property. Those are really nice, and I feel better about coming here knowing there are indoor restrooms if need be. -Have the map pulled up on your phone if you want to make sure you hit everything. Internet service was a little spotty for me out there, and we left and saw multiple places, on the drive out, that we hadn't even seen while inside of the complex. PROS: -Prices are cheap, and you could get an entire day's worth of children entertainment for a family at less than $100. (Realistically, probably less than $60, but I don't know what family size you are!) Even as three adults and no kids, we were easily entertained here for a good 4 hours and left before fully exploring the property. -I love that virtually everything is included in the admission price. You pay the price, get the wrist band, and you can do virtually anything on the property as much as you'd like, all day. Not only does this make lines work faster, but it really reduces stress. -Lehner's has a "Children's Corn Maze" that's much smaller in size. That's super cool! I'm constantly afraid of getting lost in a full one, so knowing there was a smaller one made it more approachable for me. -There are SO many places for cool photos around the property. -Clean porta-potties centrally located with indoor restrooms at a bit of a hike (but still available!) -Tons of staff everywhere offering supervision to help keep things safe. Almost all were clearly high school kids, but they were still paying attention and doing a great job, and I heard multiple reprimands asking kids to follow rules on the jumping pillows and slides. CONS: -This is entirely personal preference, but it wasn't quite the "relaxing" fall vibe that I generally look for with my Autumnal outings. Again, though, that's because I'm not trying to entertain kids. There are SO many kid-friendly and family-with-kid friendly things here. -I'm not sure if the map is to scale or up-to-date. I'm genuinely staring at the property map to try to get my bearings of where I was just this morning, and I feel like multiple things were just in different spots. Most things were in that general vicinity if you followed the map though. -I'd love to see an "answer key" map for the corn maze, but I know that getting an aerial shot of a corn maze is not a cheap endeavor. I'd love to see where we went wrong while trying to escape it. -They use AI art in their advertisements.

Admission was super reasonable at $12 per person and that included all the activities. They also offer a military discount which we really appreciated. There was honestly so much to do: - Mazes - Mini putt-putt - Pumpkin bowling - Photo cutouts and a big truck for fun pics - Barrel rides, barrel run, barrel slide - Basketball - A zip line swing - $1 pumpkin slingshot - Tractor rides -And so much more! The animal area was a hit - feeding the goats (just 25 cents!) was so cute and there were also a miniature donkey, pony, and a rabbit. We were a little bummed the hayride wasn't running when we visited, but there was still plenty to enjoy. The sweet treats and drinks were a nice bonus - frosted pumpkin sugar cookie + lemon shakeup = perfect fall combo! Overall, it was a great day full of classic fall fun. Definitely recommend for families or anyone wanting to soak up the season!

I think it's been family owned for years. I continued despite prices. Last year I went for Tomatoes and something changed again. New people , not as friendly but produce was good and I purchased apples again. Prices took a big jump last summer (2026) and new cashiers, again. Even though I was a long time customer the service wasn't so good or friendly. Prices on everything too high. I haven't been back this year because I can't afford them anymore. There were massive piles of poop everywhere on the walking "trails" and I had to constantly keep my granddaughters from stepping in them. The turkey is super aggressive and had to be chased away multiple times. The animal pens are not kept up at all and there was no evidence of straw in any pen. We booked the 1 hour "self guided tour" and barely spent 30 minutes (and saw the entire "tour"). There were only 2 feeding bins that had anything in them. Biggest waste of time and money... EVER.
