I will speak my truth over and over again. After all was said and done I had a horrible dental abscess that caused the most excruciating pain that I have ever experienced in my life, and I blame this dental practice. Dr. Murphy spoke with me over the phone while I was in debilitating pain and had the nerve to suggest that he would "fit me in tomorrow for a trigger point injection". I saw two other dentists and was told that my tooth was fractured and needed to be extracted. I came to this office during their annual free extraction event expecting to lose the tooth. Dr. Andersen took the time to thoroughly evaluate the situation and wasn't convinced that extraction was the right answer. She determined that the "lesion" was actually a piece of bone protruding through the gum and removed it. Almost immediately, the pain that had been bothering me for weeks was gone. I am incredibly grateful not only because she found the real problem, but because she saved my tooth. Her knowledge, patience, and willingness to look deeper instead of rushing to remove the tooth made all the difference. Thank you, Dr. Andersen, for your exceptional care. I don't want to directly name my hygienist, since I don't know if she wants her name on here, but she knows who she is and I really have to give her credit for doing such a great job cleaning my teeth each time-- I certainly haven't changed my habits to make such a big difference! And just think, a good hygienist wouldn't want to work for a bad or unpleasant dentist. My time with Dr. Schwartz is short in comparison to the hygenist, but he's incredibly nice and I've had no complaints over any of the work that he has done. He pulled two teeth out as part of my invisalign treatment plan to make room for straight teeth along with two or maybe three fillings over the years-- all went very well and my smile and bite is better than ever. I've moved 7 times since 2006 and after one of the moves to the Baltimore area I was immediately looking into invisalign and the highly rated orthodontist that I found didn't do general dentistry but he recommended Dr. Schwartz so that is where I went. When I moved from Baltimore to Chicago for 3 years, and then from Chicago to New Orleans for another two years, I still flew back to baltimore for my dental appointments with Dr. Schwartz. I'm back in the area now and still seeing Dr. Schwartz with a mere 30-45 minute drive. If you live in Chicago, I'd still recommend Dr. Schwartz-- the flights between MDW and BWI are really plentiful and you can fly in for the day for an appointment. It's a bit harder from New Orleans, but still doable.

The swelling returned, then went away, then returned, then went away, and so on. At that point I suspected I was allergic to something I was eating, so I limited my diet to things I knew I wasn't allergic to, then added things back one at a time. When I started eating ketchup again, the swelling returned. It turns out I am allergic to tomatoes, which, according to Doctor Google, may cause blistering in the mouth. When a search engine gives you better information than a professional, one has to wonder what exactly these folks learn in dental school. Bottom line: never trust a dentist to solve a medical problem. They just don't have the knowledge.

I was so nervous when I had my first visit but Linda and everyone made me feel so comfortable. They took me on a tour of the place and told me what each room was for. They explained everything they were going to do and asked me if I was ok along the way. Their techniques and machinery are state-of-the-art and they even have cable-tv so you can watch while you're in the chair! I have been for the sedation dentistry, regular cleanings and ZOOM! teeth whitening and I now can say I am totally comfortable with going to dentist! I love the way my teeth look and feel and I really like everyone that works there. They also are going to help my fiance out with a mouth-guard to help with sleep-apnea in the near future. I would recommend this place to everyone! If you are afraid of the dentist, check this place out, it was alittle steep in price but they work with you. (anything is better than going back to the run-of-the-mill dentist)
