I volunteer to make all the FedEx runs at the office just so I have an excuse to come here. I love coffee and tea, and they have great options for BOTH. They have a great variety of flavored/unflavored coffees that you can sample, and if you prefer to buy it bagged, the prices are reasonable and I love that they have their loyalty card. I've gotten friends and family HOOKED. I enjoy loose tea and I can't complain. Their chai is the best around (no disgusting Starbucks syrup mix - YUCK!) and I love that they have 3 kinds of chai. Their selection of loose and bagged tea to take home is exceptional. Food, while it may be on the higher end of the price scale, is not lacking for quality. You get what you pay for. Friendly service, too. There's always someone there whose happy and helpful. read more

One of my favorite places in Frederick! They have excellent iced tea with several flavor options each day - at their coffee milk/sugar bar they have the pump of sugar water that I love to add to the iced tea to sweeten it up without having grains of sugar at the bottom of my cup! My favorite is iced peach green tea with a few pumps of sugar water! They have excellent coffee and espresso drinks, and great smoothies too! Unlike other places, they offer almond milk as an option, and they even have a carafe of almond milk with the coffee fixins! When you walk in, you'll notice dozens of open bags of coffee beans. We buy coffee by the pound here and it's delicious! The food options are great! Tons of breakfast options, sandwiches, paninis, soup, and salad. They have every type of bread imaginable: bagels in many flavors, English muffins, pretzel rolls (my fave!), ciabatta, white, wheat, rye, and I'm sure many others that I've never noticed! This is a great place to sit and get work done. They have free wifi, and a large store. No one minds if you hang out all day! The service is excellent! They've had the same staff for a very long time, which really says something! Everyone is so nice and friendly! My only complaint is I wish they opened early during the week!! They would get a lot more of my business! read more

Just found out about this place recently and really enjoy their bagels. Only negative is that I don't care for their iced coffee.

Great coffee, great baristas, great environment = what more could a coffee snob like me want?! decent prices on pounds of coffee as well - they even get Jamaican Blue Mountain every now and then (the BEST coffee in the whole wide world, imho). I'd take a star off for their poor operating hours (open late n close early compared to other local coffee shops I've been to in the past) but the coffee here is THAT GOOD, so no stars taken off. read more

I just went in for a pound of coffee for an easy Christmas present and a few cups for coworkers and have not a bad word to say about my visit. I was helped by a young man who offered an incredible service experience from start to finish. He was helpful and charming and made every effort to make sure I left a happy customer. You mix good coffee with that kind of staff and you have my vote. Kudos to that young man and management for maintaining that level of customer service. read more

3.5 stars rounding up Their menu isn't too confusing, but it can be.. because different bagels are differently priced, and they only list 6 bagels or so that. I have not ordered any other bagel aside the multi-grain one. and I have not ordered the bagel alone. I ordered their breakfast bagel sandwich, and their bagel was soft but had a little resistance, so it was good with the egg and cheese. Please note that, unlike the bagels, their menu isn't quite clear about the varying costs of cheeses. granted, it's not like $5 vs $0.05, but I think (and I honestly don't recall the price) I paid $1.20 for the brie, vs $0.40 for their cheddar. And be sure to check the receipt, I was charged $1.20 on top of the $0.40, doubly charged. The ice coffee they serve is cold brewed, so the taste is definitely different from hot brew over ice (I like cold brews better). However, the cold brew seems a little light, so plus ice or milk = more diluted. Overall, the breakfast sandwich was good, and I might order it again, but I would not make a trip out here just for their breakfast sandwich. Having said that, I have yet tried their other lunch sandwiches, which I hope is good =) read more

Great breakfast/lunch place. Relaxed atmosphere with quiet music and a very open concept. The place smells great with all the various coffee beans and the food is good too. Got the little Italy sandwich which was one of the best Italian sandwiches I've had and also go the tuna melt which was good. The coffee is so good too...one of the better cafe lattes I've had. I'm here almost 3 times a week. I love to grab lunch here as I can get some good eats and the coffee creates some aroma therapy. I highly recommend the tuna. Either on a sandwich or their salad on a salad. If you like tea, but don't want sweeeeeeeet tea, get the SporTea. It's an awesome flavor with some sweetness. read more

Nice little coffee shop that smells great due to their fresh coffee all over the store. It was quite empty for the few hours I was there. The food and drinks are hit or miss - bagel egg sandwiches are nothing special, but the Eastern Shore Chicken Salad sandwich was AWESOME. Love Potion something or other drink wasn't anything special, maybe check out the others. Also just a small note - the only outlets by tables are in awkward/hard to reach places, so if you need to plug in some electronics, this might not be the place for you. read more

Outstanding place to fulfill your caffeinated needs. I happen to be in the Frederick area visiting family and stopped in to grab a quick cup of coffee for the road. The staff was super friendly and helpful and let me look around while I got the lay of the land. While I was checking out the brewed options I happen to catch the row upon row of heavenly roasted beans. man o man was I in heaven. So many great options to choose from. I literally could have spent a few hundred dollars in there. And I would have walked out with half the store because the prices are very good. Their prices are only outdone by the quality and quantity of the varieties they offer. Another quick glance around and i spotted some freshly made food as well as some packaged stuff, i think. It all looked fabulous. I ended up getting the Black raven blend and I shit you not, I found my new favorite coffee. Whoever came up with this bland deserves a raise, stat! It is so freaking flavorful it's not even funny. I like it so much that I ordered another pound of it ( and a few others ) online just now. Speaking of which, whoever decided that you should sell online deserves a raise too! :) Now I sit on my hands and wait for my bundles of caffeine joy to arrive...... sipping on some fresh brewed Black Raven Blend......looking at houses in the Frederick area, right down the road from Baltimore Coffee and Tea! ;) read more

This place is by far my favorite place to get coffee and a bagel or sandwich in all of Frederick! All of their roasts are delicious! And they do a really great job of keeping each one hot and fresh throughout the day. Their Baltimore Blend is my favorite! The tea selection is so great and the staff is very knowledgeable about them! Their everything bagels are THE BEST I've ever had! They are no joke- they are not too thick and not too thin, they don't pile on a ton of cream cheese like a lot of places do, and they're toasted to perfection! I'm lucky if I'm able to get the last one for the day by 9:00am on a weekday! That's how good they are. Great selection of pastries and there is always something new to try! I've really enjoyed their paninis when I've stopped by for lunch, too! The dining area is large and doesn't feel crowded like a Starbucks or a Dunkin does at times. Lots of seating and space to spread out! Other than my usual bagel & coffee breakfast, the staff probably has to be my favorite thing about this place! They could be slammed with customers and have lots going on behind the counter but they always make it a point to greet you and make you feel welcomed!! I love waiting in line and hearing them greet customers by their first names!! They are genuinely interested in you as their customer and want to do their best job at giving you excellent service and excellent food & drinks! To those leaving bad reviews of this place.....You are just very unnecessarily super pretentious coffee / tea drinkers and probably the super demanding and always unhappy no-matter-what kind of customer. I am pretty sure that this relatively unknown place is the best coffee in Frederick. They have over 100 kinds of beans that are roasted in Baltimore and delivered (not all 100+ at once) twice a week. Every day they have eight varieties brewed hot, with one strong brew, one light brew, two flavored coffees, and four decafs. They are different every day, and you can taste-test them before you pour a full cup. The coffee here is just plain good. It's the only place that I keep wanting to come back to for coffee alone. That is something so rare that it deserves 5 stars. I find myself really savoring each cup for all it's worth. The bagels (from BB's, on Ballenger Creek if you are curious) make great breakfast sandwiches too. I think this place must mostly be kept afloat by the office complexes surrounding it. It is only one intersection away from one of the busiest Starbucks locations in the country, and none of my friends have been there. read more

I think of Baltimore Coffee and Tea as my "happy place". They have great coffee, and lots of choices each day! The food is good but very expensive for what it is. The staff is cheerful and loves to get to know their customers...kind of like Starbucks used to be when I worked there! They have dozens of bean flavors to choose from and many unusual teas. The tea prices are high as well, but the coffee prices are competitive. The best bang for your buck are their lattes. Two shots in the 12 oz., 3 shots in the 16 oz. and 4 shots in the 20 oz latte! That's a lotta shots to keep you going in the afternoon...Check it out. Bring your friends. They have lots of room to sit and talk or surf the free wi-fi. read more

I was on a business trip in Frederick from Alabama and got a taste for a iced Matcha Latte, the lady working at the Thai restaurant next door suggested this place. Now I don't know if the girl making the coffee was tired, having a bad day, or just racist but she was straight up NASTY! The guy who took my order couldn't find the matcha on the register so he asked for her help. She told him where to find it he put in my order & she started to make it. I walked over to the pick up counter where she was & spoke to her. She began rolling her eyes & I just thought to myself ok maybe she didn't hear me speak although I knew she did. As she was mixing the milk in she gave me the death stare for like 10 seconds. Finally she added in the ice & instead of putting the latte in my outreached hand she slammed it on the counter I said thanks & she rolled her eyes & walked away. It doesn't cost anything to be friendly. I will never step foot in this establishment again on any of my business trips to Frederick. read more

I would like to start by saying the food here is fantastic. My girlfriend and I eat here here quite frequently and plan on continuing to eat here, HOWEVER, there is 1 issue that needs to be addressed. Every-time the establishment is busy, our food comes out wrong. We get it to go often so it's frustrating getting home and realizing our order is incorrect. Wether it be on the wrong bread, or missing ingredients, etc. I don't typically write reviews but this has happened to many times to not speak up because it is EVERY TIME the place is busy, to the point where it is predictable. The workers are very friendly and welcoming, and like I said before the food is really great. I hope this will be fixed to match the great quality of food. read more

BC&T has the best iced tea around. With rotating seasonal flavors and the traditional Back Porch Tea, there is always a selection of iced drinks. The sandwiches are delicious as well and they are the only non chain restaurant on this side of Frederick that offers panini and deli fare on an assortment of breads and rolls. Will be skipping Strbx for this place when I'm in the area from now on. Coffee is much better and very good in general. Service and atmosphere is welcoming and calm. It's clean and there are plenty of places to sit. Breakfast sandwich was made there and good. Prices are competitive--I saved money. 4-stars reflects I've been once, so, I'm limited in experience there. It's worth driving past the 'other' coffee place and trying out. Awesome local coffee place. The staff is very friendly and super helpful. I recently got into cold brewing coffee and they were a great help with tons of fresh coffee flavors to choose from. I love this place! The coffee is really good, the bagel sandwiches are great, there is plenty of seating and it's just nice to have a place like this in a part of Frederick that is pretty dominated by chain restaurants and coffee shops. The staff have always been very friendly and welcoming which definitely adds to the experience as well.
