Life in the digital age: I broke the glass on my iPhone by dropping my iPad on it. Really. Looking for somewhere relatively close I could have it repaired quickly, I discovered Ballyhoo. I dropped my iPhone off, went to a meeting, came back a couple hours later and picked up my phone seemingly good as new. All was fine for three days when the display began flickering wildly and eventually settled in to a state of washed-out brightness that was very difficult to read. It took me two weeks to get back to Ballyhoo because I live about 40 miles away and waited until I had another meeting nearby. The folks at Ballyhoo did their magic again, no hassles, no questions asked and again returned the iPhone looking and working like new at no charge. I had a few questions regarding my iPhone 4s and getting repair parts, they were able to help me after hours and give me investory info for the parts i needed. I'll be going in first thing in the morning to pick up my parts! Update: So I went in today, Mon May 18th 2015, and picked up my parts for my son's iPhone 4s. Took my phone in to get my cracked screen fixed. They went through, made sure everything worked, which it did, and they replaced the screen. Everything was fine until about 2 weeks later, when the display started having issues. Now there's lines on the top and bottom and the display has this weird reflection. Not happy with the results and I had no prior issues with the display until a new screen was installed. I had gone here because a family member went and the price was more affordable than others, but turns out you get what you pay for. DO NOT TAKE A CHANCE, spend your money elsewhere. read more

The customer service here needs to be changed. You installed a faulty screen on my iPhone 4s and will not go back to your manufacturer to have a replacement screen sent. This is the least you could do, I would have paid for your labor to repair the faulty screen. As a small business, I would think you would want to ensure your customers are satisfied. I clearly am not and the way JJ handled the conversation when I called to discuss the issue was horrible. You should do the right thing. I hope others do not run into this issue or choose to go elsewhere. read more

Had to get my cracked iPhone glass replaced. The first one they did wasn't quite flush, before I could bring it back it cracked after a very minor hit. They refused to warranty it. Had them replace it anyway because now the actual screen wasn't responding. Second screen, same thing. Screen started popping up. Pro: fixed my iPad screen in an hour. Cheapest price in the area. Con: poor quality screen replacement (no wonder it's the cheapest). Seriously, they definitely do not use high quality parts, let alone OEM. the new screen is a hard plastic, not glass. You can actually see lines in the screen because its a low quality digitizer. The iPad itself now overheats; the screen is how the iPad releases heat. Apparently the cheap screen they use acts as insulation, causing the iPad to overheat and act erratically. I had a minor crack in my screen prior to repair, and so I used it for a few weeks before getting it replaced. Everything was fine until replacement, so I know that it began to malfunction when it started to overheat AFTER i took it in. And to add insult to injury, the new screen has begun to crack! read more

Paid $89 to have a phone fixed. It didn't work. They refused to fix it properly. After taking it to a reputable company, we found out they used a faulty, refurbished LCD. Horrible experience, horrible customer service. read more

I went to Ballyhoo only because it said on the website that they would only take a day to fix my cracked iPad screen and I noticed that the price was $25 less than anywhere else. However when I picked up my iPad there was a big gap between the frame and the bottom of the iPad. They said it was because they are not allowed to use apples parts, but every other place I've been to has better parts than this. They also said they would put more adhesive on to hold the frame to the pad but never actually did it. About a week later I was forced to go back because they messed up the digitizer, the iPad would stop responding when I touched it. The employee there made many different excuses saying it was just the speed of the iPad but before I took it there my iPad had neve done this before. They would take it because they said they didn't do it. My advice to you would be take your device somewhere else, anywhere else even if it means going across the country. There is no reason to waste your time and money with Ballyhoo because they WILL do a horrible job. If I knew how to give a star rating of 0 or better yet in the negatives I would, 1 star gives them too much credit. DO NOT GO THERE. read more

This place is horrible. I went there to get my iPad screen replaced after it cracked. At first it looked great, but after only a week the screen started pulling away and cracked when I touched the corner. Ballyhoo denied responsibility saying that is a common problem with screen replacements and did not honor their 30 day warranty. Do not go here! read more

This place is a joke and does not stand behind there work, my screen was cracked and everything was working fine until they replaced the screen, my phone was not seated properly and glass popped out and the screen was flickering until it completely went out, took it back several times works for a few days then goes back out. Will strongly recommend finding a different place not unless you have a bunch of time on your hands to keep going back an fourth with no resolution and a bunch of excuses !!! Finally took my phone to the apple store and problem solved for a cheaper price. read more

I took my Ipod Touch with a cracked screen to them. After 2 hours, they called to tell me that the problem wasn't the screen. It was the motherboard. I took the same Ipod to a different store the next day. They replaced the screen (and missing parts) and the Ipod works perfectly. Poor quality replacement parts. I won't be going back. read more

This shop should be closed, they use poor quality parts and don't stand by their work. I had a iPhone screen replaced by Ballyhoo Technologies. When they were done with the phone I noticed the screen resolution was terrible and the images were very dark. The owner argued with me saying he doesn't use Apple products, he did me a favor by fixing the screen take my f*****g phone to Apple and get out of his store. I would never ever take anything to these KIDS again! I dropped off (2) Iphones to be fixed, broken screen and broken back. Broken back was fine, broken front screen the technician ruined the phone while trying to do the repair. The phones were completely functional at drop off! This was noted at the time I dropped them off. The technician admitted to making a mistake, that is fine, accidents happen but dealing with them has been horrible! The are telling me I have (2) choices and I need to come in and pay $70 before they will do anything! This repair was to be done in 45 minutes, I am not on day 3 without resolution. They are telling me that they are doing me a favor by repairing the goof up from the technician and that I should be greatful for that!! REALLY?? I should be happy I'm not paying for issues created by his technician? How does that work in the business world?? The owner/manager is also a kid, a very greedy kid that does not realize how word of mouth spreads and how quickly they will end up losing customers based on all of the negative feedback I have been seeing on here!
