Wonderful, attentive service from Crystal Clear Printers. Sadly my mom passed and we needed quick obituary service booklets printed. The drama with the virus dictated that nothing would be traditional in the planning of our services. We needed a few printed booklets for the maximum 10 family members allowed to attend her funeral and as well plan for printed items for an event later in the year to celebrate her life with more people. Crystal Clear's agent, Tirrell was so helpful, responsive, and creative with solutions to present to me. He made the process so easy. Took longer than agreed to for first proof then lied about it , wouldn't answer my calls, then showed me some rushed garbage, sent second proof a week later . Got second proof it looked horrible but i was in a rush to get my non profit info out so i accepted it went to pick up finished job it was dull no gloss , barely legible due to a couple issues. They suck dont use them .i lost $400 n i still have to go somewhere else to get my flyers done . read more

Very poor experience. I stopped in to have waterproof labels created for 150 handcrafted bath products. Prior to beginning any work, I explained my vision and asked if they'd had experience with a project such as mine. I was told yes so I figured I was in good hands. I also try to be very intentional with supporting small businesses. It quickly became apparent that this establishment had not done a project such as mine. The final product was nothing like what I'd asked for. The PAPER (not waterproof) label used did not even complete the circumference of my jar. Furthermore, it was PAPER so it dissolves immediately when it comes into contact with water. I was highly upset to find out that I was told they could honor my request for waterproof labels yet they just gave me whatever they felt like giving. At the time I was just creating the line as a side business but still knew that I wanted a high quality look and feel to my product line. I did not get that. Also, the production process for my items was a NIGHTMARE. Several phone calls. Several visits (time away from work). Several re-dos. The entire experience was just more hassle than it was worth. The ONLY reason I had to stick with it is because I was up against a tight deadline. But I certainly regretted the $300 investment. Not to mention the turnaround time was not what was promised. Therefore I spent the night before my event (which was in Chicago) scrambling to put these labels on my jars. I was better off calling my mentee to help me size my image for waterproof labels I got from Office Depot and having the items printed and cut there for a fraction of the cost. Seriously! I just wish they would have be honest about their capabilities instead of just taking my dollars. If you want a party flyer or something along that nature - you may be ok. If you're looking for a high quality finished print job - I'd look for a more experienced vendor. read more

This business is one of the main reasons I can't support everyone's black businesses these days. The lack of professionalism is beyond appalling! This company has begun started to overcharge me, after my first initial visit in April for obituary printing, seems like every visit back to them for the same specific services the prices has began to double! They have no absolutely regard for your time or your money! Once your file and money is sent to this company, it's like they could care less after this point, your time or customer service no longer matters at this point. The fat guys there has very bad attitudes! Talk to you like you're a child instead of a customer. Lastly, what blew my top is how I was charged for a rush job that they didn't try to rush on at all! Told them the funeral was at 12 so I would need them before then around 10. They accepted my order and my money but when I continuously asked for a specific time for pick up, they kept stating they would be finished before 12. I even call myself speaking to the owner which was no help at all, quoting the same thing. I spoke with her at 9am the day of pick up trying to pin point if my programs would be ready by the funeral time. She then stated that they were printed and just needed to be cut. When 11am rolled around, I still had not heard back, so I had to call back yet again at almost 11:30 to hear that it would be 30 more minutes after I specifically said I needed them for a funeral at 12! Then when I walked in, they were both sitting at a desk talking amongst each other, never so much acknowledged me, had me standing there looking dumb, and had the prints sitting in a bag. Nobody ever even so much as offered an apology or regrets. This company has truly shown me that they don't know how to treat customers in general but it's sad they don't even know how to show appreciation to their loyal and consistent customers. Below is just a gist of what I'm speaking of.. I went from being charged $1 per booklet so God knows what. You'll definitely see the different and just FYI all of these past quotes were for 11x17 8 page programs except for my very last horrible visit on this Friday which the 100 programs that were ordered were half that size and only a 4 page booklet and yet I was still charged over $200. Maybe someone else can try to make it make sense but they just lost a loyal customer because I'll never be back for the disregard that Crystal and her staff displays to paying customers! read more

I've actually had a few experiences with Crystal Clear.. I've always tried to support Black Owned Businesses.. I have not done business with them in about 4 years and I decided to use them for my door hangers.. Chris gave me the wrong pricing for what I originally asked for so I got my actual flyers made elsewhere, just for Crystal to call me the next day to tell me that, I was given the wrong pricing and next time just ask to talk to her..( don't answer the phone if you can't actually help me..I shouldn't have to call a business and request a certain person just to get proper service) anyways..I order my 250 door hangers from them on Wednesday, and was told I should have them by Tuesday. Was sent the proof Monday morning. Told them the design was great and approved for print..I call on Tuesday to find out if they were ready and was told I would have to come get them Thursday at 6pm, I still was very understanding..so Thursday comes around, I live a hour away from Crystal Clear so I was in the area around 5:00 and called and asked if they were ready by any chance since I was nearby, Chris told me No they'll be ready by 6. So I grabbed some food and stayed in the area..5:45 I go in and he tells me it's gonna be another 30mins. I wasn't happy but I did not make a big deal about it..I go back to my car and go back in the store at 6:15 for him to tell me one sec while he was working on the computer. Crystal came from the back and asked was I helped while she was printing off what looked like my door hangers..I said yes I've been helped 6:30 comes around and I ask Chris how much longer do I have to wait..he goes to the back and comes to tell me they are boxing them up and should be out shortly, remind you I ONLY ORDERED 250 door hangers...6:45 comes around and FINALLY I have these door hangers I had to wait a extra 45mins for...moral of the story I won't be giving them anymore of my business read more

I placed an order for 5000 flyers and 25 posters, there was a misunderstanding due to miscommunication and they handled the situation extremely unprofessional. I was never received my posters nor was a logical resolution offered. They have ignored my phone calls, emails, etc regarding this circumstance. I didn't receive a partial refund of any kind whatsoever. They blamed me because they printed the order wrong, talked to me in a manner like i was incompetent and this was the owner Crystal Mitchell who disrespected me, my business and also made threats about filing a claim against my client who has nothing to do with her or the business she is running. I wouldn't refer them to my worst enemy. She called my phone private and stated she would be filing charges, then hung up. Turned around called me 50 times back to back from an unknown number just to hang up when i answered. I have multiple text messages sent to me from the owner's cell phone harassing me and making threats when I'm the client who paid and didn't get what i ordered. Her husband is a distant relative and thats why i chose to do business with them over ANY other printer i could have used for this order. This is not what i wanted to do, as far as leaving a negative review but if she is handling me like this after being in business for more than 15 years, then I'm more than certain that I'm not the first and will not be the last. I have seen them produce some great work, but I'm from Texas where hospitality is something we take pride in providing. Maybe Detroit has a different way of doing business or maybe its just this business. Whichever it may be, this has been the WORST experience i have ever had dealing with any business. read more

They jacked my company employees business cards up badly. Also the poster cards were wrong. Over $500 worth of junk that look like a third grader cut it up. The quality was poor, I approved a color poster card and business cards that we designed and put on PDF. Thy named it on a bad Email that I sent it in black and white. The truth of the matter I took it in the store on USB. Then they put me on hold hanging up on me and then just leaving on hold. Then called me 4 times after I hung up the phone on them at about 8pm which they were closed and the manager called my phone blocked. They blamed the matter on me claim in a angry customer and they would notify the authorities. That's strange that wasn't a issue until I asked for a full refund. I requested they stop contacting me and harnessing me or I wous inquire a personal protection order. And yet I received another email from these people. I've decided to sue them in court and if they continue to harass me I will take my phone records to the police and file a report. read more
