Yippee!
Jeff N.

I stopped in here today to pick up some balloons and cupcakes so I guess this was the best place to go! When I walked in I was surprised at how big it was because I was expecting a tiny store. I was greeted by a very nice woman who is the owner and she was very helpful. I first wanted to get some cupcakes and almost all of them were gone. Fortunately, they still had about eight left. I bought four and left four for the next person. I bought a snicker doodle and a coconut frosted chocolate as well as two Cookie Monsters. All of them were really good! The balloons were nice but sadly they got tangled in my car due to all of the wind today. While I was bringing them to the car the wind picked up and I spent about an hour trying to untangle then but no luck! By the way they looked great but not so good after I got them tangled. :( I totally recommend giving this place a try if you are having a birthday and need cupcakes and/or balloons.

Pull up to the Cupcake bar and ask for a Double!

They make sin! Outstanding cupcakes that I would compare to any of the hipster favorites Downtown. I have tried 6 different flavors so far and all have been delicious. They have a different selection each day and you can check their daily updated webpage for whats fresh and in stock. Most cupcake places make a crappy frosting, not these guys. The frostings are obviously made fresh from scratch and are not over sweet. They are located inside Balloon Wizards and seem to be a perfect fit! Get your birthday supplies, balloons, cupcakes & cards all in one spot! I just married ( as the minister) my acupuncturist and she had Cupcakes for 175 people instead of a big cake. It was a huge hit and every liked trying multiple small cupcakes instead of a sliver of some wedding cake only the bride likes. I'm sure I will be back more then often to try every flavor.... I'm dying to try the Smores & Choc Rasberry. So far I loved all the flavors I have tried and the Peanut butter Chocolate is amazing and the double chocolate is rich!

I had Pink Vanilla and Dark Chocolate cupcakes. Oh! Yummy. The cupcakes was moist, light and tasty in its own right, a difficult combination to pull off. They did a great job. Thanks.

I still think they have good cupcakes but they're not as moist as I remember and they've upped their decorations which is nice, but I'd take a moist flavorful cupcake over a pretty cupcake any day... Also I remember when I'd order rocky road and it tasted like rocky road, now it's decorated prettier then before but doesn't taste as great... All in all a great cupcake though

Convenient for me, a mother who resides in Singapore and making a birthday order of ballons and cupcakes for my daughter in Seattle. They not only deliver but also calls me to tell me wat my daughter's reaction was when she received the balloons and cupcakes - surprise and happy. My daughter's text messages to me verify this. They also send pics of my order so I know wat is delivered and how it will be presented. Since Im not able to be with my daughter on this occasion, Balloons and Cupcakes has gone beyond their service of baking and delivery with gestures that allow me to feel close to my daughter in celebrating her birthday. My daughter says the ballons are beautiful and the cupcakes delicious. Thank you Balloons and Cupcakes.

So delicious came out exactly like I pictured

Amazing amazing service and cookies and cupcakes. They helped me create a cookie with number 2 on it for my daughters birthday.. I originally wanted to go to fred myer but the lady just said no we dont do that. But this lady was like well i never done that before but sure we can make it happen. They were so delicious everyone at my daughters party kept asking me where I got them :)

Daughter said the buttercream was divine! Highly Recommend Sweet Themes Bakery for all your cakes: they CARE and know their craft well. Second everyone is so nice and helpful. Third, everything I've tried has been amazing! I had a gluten free key lime pie bar and it was incredible. Usually you can tell something is gluten free, but not this. The cupcakes are not all looks. They taste wonderful and are not overwhelmed with cloyingly sweet frosting. They have a great balance. I brought gluten free treats home for my baby and she was so excited and impressed too. Their coffee and non caffeinated drinks are made well and refreshing. Basically they do it all really well.

UPDATE: 3/24/26... As a Yelp Elite member for 6 years, I…read morepride myself in giving fair reviews, whether good or bad. And with the bad, I strive to be positive on the experience that was good before giving suggestions or letting the owner know what fell short. I'm never out to bash a business. Rather, as an owner, if you pride yourself in customer service, you will take what a sincere Yelp Elite reviewer has to say, step back and see how you can improve. I just read the comments another reviewer posted a few days ago and saw that they were berated as well. I had nothing to gain from giving the review I did and it's unfortunate that you're no longer going to be in business, but there were two other people with me that came to this consensus. With that, I will reply to the unfortunate remarks slammed at me, the reviewer. Let me preface by saying I asked for a pic with the owner before tea service started. If it was said that we had a wonderful and lovely time, it was not by me but one of my friends who, when asked how everything was, couldn't think of anything else to say. Also, I wasn't going to express all of this in front of the owner at the time because I had others with me. So, to rebel and ask me if my mother is still alive and did she teach me to behave like this? Well, all I can say is your reaponse as a business owner is extremely childish and unprofessional. I didn't make the food. I reviewed it and if that means it's not the best review, so be it. It pains me not to give a business owner a good review because that's not what we as Elite members strive for. That said, lashing out is not the answer. At least I have the maturity and diplomacy to put these comments in without getting into a mud fight like you chose to do. Review..... My two girlfriends and I came here for afternoon tea. Since I'm the Yelp reviewer, I asked them for their input and so it was a consensus of the three of us. Here's what went right. It was nice to have a carafe of water at our table, there were beautiful flowers and dyed water to match in the vase, the teacups and saucers were very pretty, the owner was extremely nice. Here's what we thought needed a second look. The sign in the store advertised cheese and fruit for the afternoon tea but it didn't appear. When we asked we were told it didn't come with it but we could get some if we wanted. Please revise the sign as people do notice. Suggest you have a selection of three sandwiches rather than two of each. One was a small croissant filled with egg salad and if we hadn't been told that we thought it might be chicken. The other was a cucumber sandwich which although it's nice to have thin slices of cucumber, these were razor thin. Sort of disappointing that there was so little on a beautiful piece of bread. They scones were nothing special. Perhaps have something inside whether it be cranberry, currant etc. The sweets consisted of a Mexican wedding cake which was rather dry and was there a detection of almond extract? The orange macaron, as beautiful as it was, lacked flavor of orange. I was expecting a nice burst of something but it just wasn't there. The fondant on the petit four was much too thick, and sweet. Whatever fashion the raspberry is used, keep a bit of that tart flavor to offset the sweetness from the fondant. The effort was there, things just felt short.

The first thing I appreciated was the parking. They have their own lot, so finding a space was easy--a huge bonus compared to many Seattle cafés where parking can be a challenge. As you walk in, you'll see shelves displaying their freshly baked breads and pastries, making it easy to browse before ordering. If you look to the left, there's also a viewing window where you can catch a glimpse of the bakery production behind the scenes, which adds a fun touch to the experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The staff were friendly and never made me feel rushed. Instead of asking repeatedly if I was ready, they simply let me take my time and came over when I was ready to order. I really appreciated that. I'm the type of person who takes a while to make very serious food decisions, so the no-pressure service made the experience even more enjoyable. One thing that surprised me was that the café wasn't filled with the strong aroma of coffee or freshly baked bread like many bakeries are. Don't let that fool you, though--the bread was incredible. I ordered the Bialy Egg Sandwich, and the bread was soft with a wonderful chewy texture while still having a nice crust on the outside. The egg was cooked with a perfectly runny yolk, which made every bite rich and satisfying. If you prefer your eggs fully cooked, I'd recommend asking when you order. I paired it with a coffee that leaned toward the bright, slightly acidic side. It complemented the sandwich well, although my personal preference is for coffee with more chocolatey, earthy notes. That's purely a matter of taste, not quality--I can definitely see why others would enjoy their roast. One thing to note is that pets aren't allowed inside the café, so plan accordingly if you're bringing your furry friend. But they do sell dog biscuits and you can enjoy the outdoor space with your furry friend after ordered. - which is a bit confusing to me Just keep in mind that they're only open on weekdays and close around 2 p.m., so it's definitely an early bird kind of place. I'd happily come back again--it's the perfect stop after a morning workout before heading to work, and I can definitely see why people have been recommending it. Overall, this is a wonderful spot for breakfast, a quiet coffee break, or a place to recharge before starting your day. It reminded me of the cozy cafés in Capitol Hill, but with much easier parking and a more relaxed pace.

The spread was ridiculous (in the best way): close to 50 dishes. Lamb, mutton, chicken, paneer, falafel, hummus, nihari, kababs... basically a United Nations of deliciousness. They had mutton haleem, which is basically a unicorn at buffets. Most places go the chicken route which is not the same. Haleem made with chicken is like the lead singer lip-syncing at a live concert -- sure, it looks right from a distance, but deep down everyone knows something sacred has been compromised. Not only was it mutton, it might be the best haleem I've had in the Greater Seattle area. I considered asking for a to-go bucket (for research purposes). Plenty of vegetarian options too, including hara-bhara kebab, so nobody at the table feels left out (or tempted to switch teams mid-meal). Dessert was some ground-breaking stuff. Ras malai, gulab jamun, sheer khorma, and Umm Ali (if you haven't had it, imagine bread pudding that went to finishing school and came back rich, elegant and sophisticated). And these weren't "buffet versions". Most buffet GJs taste like fried dough and the rare Ras Malai tastes like boiled paneer. The sweets at Aadar tasted like the real stuff -- rare! Service was on point. Seated immediately, water glasses magically refilled, plates cleared like a Formula 1 pit stop. One of the best server-to-customer ratios I've seen at a Desi buffet. The ambience is classy. Spacious, tablecloths, good cutlery. Felt like those 5-star hotel buffets back in India. Definitely triggered some nostalgia. At $40 per person, it might feel a bit premium for a buffet, but this was a special Eid spread, and between the quality, variety, service, and overall experience, it absolutely earned it. I'm genuinely now curious (and excited) to try their regular buffet next. Kudos, Aadat team for nailing this!

As I'm checking out, the 3 donuts I was purchasing rang up @ $17.99, I asked the self checkout clerk about the price of the donuts after 6pm and she said she didn't know, nor did she refer to a co-worker for confirmation.
