That time I didn't have a car so they had to help me secure the balloons on my bike rack. Balloon Concepts keeps evolving. Their original location was torn down for a parking lot. It was like that Old Yellow Taxi song. So, they moved into a corner location at SM Blvd and Lincoln Blvd with the carpet store next door. For over five years they shared a space divided in half: One side flooring samples, the other side party supplies. The flooring shop had shorter hours, but the balloons people would flip on the lights if you wanted to browse. It was the makings of a workplace multi-camera comedy except I don't know anyone in the industry who could've pitched it as a sitcom. I was looking for some balloon arches all 4 times to give my guests some visual excitement and I ended up adding some balloon bouquets and garlands to fill in spots where the venue felt bland. The balloon bouquets looked so much better than the digital renditions I was given and without fail everyone kept taking photos and loved the balloon arches! The Balloon Guy's phone assistant the third time around gave a wonderful idea about using balloon garlands around a blank wall/background to use as a photo-op. Incredible outcome!! Their representative informed me that if I went with the 21ft garland, they would throw in free delivery (a $150 value). I asked for the balloon color options and a contract but it was never sent. I followed up a few weeks later and they sent a very limited selections for balloon color options only. When I followed up on the contract and to pay the deposit for the balloons, they said they would no longer offer free delivery. The person was very dismissive and could care less that my event was a month away. Luckily, I found a different balloon company, Plan My Party LA, for a fraction of the price.
