He liked the water room! Take extra clothes because this place is a must see and an utter SOAK DOWN for kiddos.

The owner Giselle (sp?) is an absolute dream hostess. Great space, wonderful attitude, true caring and love for art. Hermosa Beach might be cozier in some ways but this place beats the pants off Hermosa for the treehouse set up AND the water room. My son thoroughly enjoyed himself. I'd definitely consider trying camp and Parents Night out here as options. The painting is terrific and for folks daunted by the preschool search and waitlist list rigomore this might be the best option in town! PS. BRING EXTRA CLOTHES as the water room is SO fun but they get literally soaked!

Attention all toddler mamas! If your little one likes: - paint - crafts - slime - water - messes ... or they're just an all-around monster, they'll pretty much go bananas here. We hosted a little birthday party for our 3-year old tornado and it was super easy, fun and affordable. And the best part? I didn't have to clean a darn thing (other than my child who was covered in paint and shaving cream). Yes, shaving cream... they went APE SH-T over it. They offer private art parties in 2-hour blocks, so we reserved the art studio from 10-12pm. You can bring in food/snacks/cake and they'll provide water pitcher and cups... they even cut and served the cake we brought! We brought bagels and donuts and were able to set everything up 15 mins before our guests arrived. The staff was so sweet and helpful- Laura, the owner, was present for our little party along with another gal, and they did a fantastic job. I love how laid back and flexible they were from the beginning- we chose 2 planned crafts for the kids (which they take home as a souvenir) plus there's unlimited painting. There's also a couple of other areas to keep the kids busy: - Play area + tree house/fort thing for climbing and slightly worn toys (though the kids don't care) - Water room with a fountain-like table and bowls/toys for pouring and play - Paint squirting room Definitely recommend hosting a birthday party here and letting your kids play, paint and splash their messy little hearts out!

Wow! What a wonderful experience! I just celebrated my daughter's sixth birthday at Art Zone and everyone there made it so special! Gisela and all the wonderful ladies who worked there not only assisted with set up but were so courteous and helpful throughout the birthday party so much so that I felt relaxed and knew everything was going smoothly and everyone was enjoying themselves!! The kids had an absolute blast doing the different art projects and playing in the water room. I really could not have picked a better spot for her birthday!

Gets 5 stars from me! Art Zone is a great place for those who want their babies and little ones to explore art. We had a great experience, love seeing my baby smile. Paint, easel, art projects, and more. The staff is friendly and nice, not over burdensome with rules and gives the right amount of space so you can create artwork together with your child freely. They introduced new projects to my 2 year old and i was surprised to see how open he was to them. We're definitely coming back!

They offer classes for young and old, with the option for drop-in, 4-week or full 8-week package signup. We attended their Open House that happened to be the next day and enjoyed meeting the staff as well as try out some activities such as coaster painting (ceramics) and creating a vision board. Oh and very much enjoyed the charcuterie board and wine + there was even cake that a staff member brought for someone who mentioned it was her birthdsr

I've been taking the handbuilding pottery class (as opposed to the wheel throwing class which they also offer). The handbuilding classes are taught by an incredible artist named Rob Homsy who is a patient and fun instructor. There is an assortment of people in his classes - all ages and an array of skills. Some of us are total beginners and others could sell their pottery because it's so great. What I especially love about this class is that Rob doesn't do the thing where "this week we're making wind chimes" and that's what the entire class must do. He definitely teaches us all of the basics and suggests what we may want to build, but he also genuinely supports whoever wants to make a giant cup, or an elephant for a gift, or a planter, or whatever one really has their mind set on. I will never be a great potter but I'm having such fun in the classes and working with many nice people. Classes are on a monthly schedule but you can enroll at any point. I take the Tuesday class from 1 PM - 4 PM but they also have an evening class. The phone number is (310) 451-5657 and the link is https://www.brentwoodart.org

I have truly never stopped being creative and I have to give a huge credit to Josh for inspiring me and my fellow 4 foot tall (at the time) artists to take risks, follow your heart, and never stop doing what makes you happy. I definitely learned a lot about art but I was also a child that got to witness an adult who loves their work and their life, and chooses to bring what they love to others. So grateful this place is still here, and a preemptive thank you from the kiddos currently in classes who have no idea how lucky they are to be there!

To this day, I have some of that art framed next to other fine art in my home. We were just talking about Josh today and wondering if even as adults, we could book a semi private class!!!. Josh deserves all these positive reviews! Whenever I dropped off, or picked up, or visited my daughter's classes, I found Josh to be extremely positive to each and every child and extremely patient with difficult parents which is truly a gift. Josh was always encouraging, positive, helpful and would really challenge the children to explore their own unique creativity and talents. A wonderful, happy & safe place.
