Incredible work for a large Spider-Man themed installation in a very short period of time. I had 3 days to find a large balloon installation for a birthday party that demanded a high level of detail. After calling multiple vendors, Helen's responsiveness and professionalism could not be beat, and the quality of her work was incredible. She and an assistant showed up exactly on time with balloons and tools, and spent over an hour meticulously setting up the beautiful installation and charged a more than reasonable rate. I wish I can give Helen 10 stars! She is the most detail-oriented designer and event stylist ever. I am so happy that I went with Helen to style my baby daughter's dolsang (first birthday) table and event hall. Like many others, I was going to decorate my daughter's party myself because I am super picky about decorations and I love planning and designing. But like many moms who are busy balancing full-time work with school and family, it is pretty impossible to do all that especially for a big party of 50+ people. Thankfully, that's where Helen comes in. We talked about the design, theme, and colors over the phone a couple times and I emailed her pictures of what I wanted. I was so busy so I couldn't meet with her in person until the actual day of the event. In fact, I was so busy that I just trusted Helen to decorate everything to my expectations. I usually micromanage everything so the fact that I was able to trust Helen speaks volumes. Plus, I was able to focus solely on my work, baby, and school which was priceless. It would have cost me even more in terms of time, money, and energy to do everything myself and it wouldn't have even looked half as beautiful as the way Helen decorated my baby's party. She even picked up the fresh rice cakes (party favors) from the bakery on the day of the event. Literally, all we had to do was show up and Helen had everything ready for us and the guests. I wish I had gotten the name of the lady who we worked with, but she is AMAZING. We decided last minute to hire someone to do the head table for our daughter's first birthday. I was originally going to do it myself, but in all honesty, the cost of buying cake stands and vases and what not plus 10 years of my life would have been around the same. Well, since options were limited when picking a decorator for our daughter's Korean style first birthday (booked through Maggiano's Woodland Hills) we thought, 'hey, how bad could they be'. 1) Poorly organized and spotty communicator. Had to send and resend communications to get a response, and multiple times the same questions were asked several times and then forgotten (i.e. color theme, decoration items, etc). 2) They asked that pictures be mailed to them for a photo table. They ended up forgetting all the pictures the day of the birthday party, and had to send someone to pick them up. They ended up finishing setting up after many of our guests had arrived. We also noticed near the end of the party, after our photographer was done taking pictures of the decorations, that there was a picture of a baby boy (it was our daughter's birthday) smack in the middle of the table. We pointed this out and the lady from balloon party actually asked us if we were sure that this was not our child... mystery baby, I guess you are now memorialized in our daughter's pictures. 3) Misspellings on decorations. Some not as bad, but you have to try real hard to turn Stethoscope into Strthodcope. 4) Overall, beyond the poor communication and bad service the decorations were dated, a little dirty and/or banged up, and the christmas candle holder was a little out of place. read more

Helen, the most amazing, perfectionist there ever was! I was having a party in Koreatown at Breakroom 86. I waited till the very last minute, a week before, and decided I had to have balloons for my party. I had a co worker who speaks Korean call and ask her to meet me at my venue that night to give me some ideas. Without hesitation Helen agreed. Even without being able to communicate well Helen got my vision even better than I could've explained if we spoke the same language. She went ABOVE AND BEYOND. I have never been so impressed with a vendor. I told her there would be a private party so we would have only half an hour for set up. Somehow Helen was able to get access to another room in the hotel and had everything ready to go. I was literally blown away by her attention to detail. These good reviews are probably because people hired Helen for an actual event. What I got was a small order - 3 bouquets and a garland - after SO MANY emails with misleading and confusing information. I booked well in advance and then got bombarded with questions the two days before I needed to pick it up. Then I was sent to another person to continue another conversation. I said no ribbon and got ribbon, I said no confetti, was given confetti. It was also a mess. What I got was covered in glue, and really cheaply done. Balloons were falling off. The gold balloons I ordered were orange. The customization on the balloons were stickers that warped. I was told my order would last a week and the very next day they were deflated and the writing was wilted. I couldn't even use them and they refused any refund. They charged my husband the full price at pick up even though I paid a deposit. I wouldn't have gotten this back had I not noticed and said something. They refused to refund me anything at all even though I was completely misled about how long the balloons would last (the reason they gave was that I didn't give them my event date).
