I went to Ballistic to see if they could help me with the installation of clear headlight covers I bought from Weather Tech for my 2024 Subaru Outback. I was helped by the owner, Jason, and he recommended I take my car to a shop that specializes in window tinting. (I will write a separate review of this business). Although Jason needed to refer me to another shop in Rocklin, he was very helpful and great to work with. His shop is clean and orderly and we will definitely return when it is time to detail our car. I think you can trust Jason to treat you right. read more

Nice job detailing my first RX350. He removed window tint from my second one. That resulted in a small ding on the vinyl trim. He paid for a new part and the installation. So it is good a new. Jason, the owner, was quick to call me to apologize and discuss how to solve the problem. He recommended Scotts Auto Trim for the removal of the damaged trim and installing an undamaged one. Poor service---Poor communication and expectation setting--I would not recommend coming here. Website states cleaning is $195. Over phone manager stated it could be up $295. On drop off no communication on price, no call through out the day. Called for pickup with sudden change pick up time (4p not 5p) as states d day before and morning of drop off. On pick up no mention of price change. Rang up price increase of 50%. When asked the manager he said that $195 is for clean cars??? Mine had dirt and a couple sticky spots. And oh he charges up to $450 if a car is actually dirty. Thats 125% over the listed price online. All without a follow up or communication. Actual cleaning seemed normal. Nothing special. Just got my van cleaned in Washington DC area (higher cost of living) and it was super dirty-4 small children in van for last year. Cost was $250 and I was called mid-service with update of expected cost/service adjustment. Poor communication and expectation setting. I will not be going back to this business. read more

Scheduled with Jason and was quoted $395-$495 (over the phone) to have the exterior of my Chevy Tahoe detailed. Jason was thorough over the phone and asked what condition my car was in and what my concerns were. I Arrived at my appointment, one of the employees examined my car, phoned Jason and handed me the phone at which point Jason told me $400 for the job. When I received the call saying my car was ready it was emphasized over and over again, they prefer cash and that "cash is money", which I thought was inappropriate. Upon pick up, I was told they were swamped and didn't have time to do the roof. I was given Jason's business card and instructed to contact him to schedule a time to bring it back in. I did notice the shop was packed with cars. I contacted Jason to schedule a time to bring my car back and I was told it would be an additional $250 to do the roof of my car. I was shocked by this. Not only was my car examined in person, I was given a verbal quote from the owner, Jason (my fault for not getting it in writing, lesson learned) but to also be told they didn't have time to finish the job, not ok. I have 2 little ones and my husband has a very busy schedule. Arranging time to drop by car off is not easy. Jason then said he charges $650-$700+ for exterior detail and that he doesn't know anyone else around here that would do it for less. This price range ($650-$700) was NEVER mentioned at any point. My understanding was $400 for the entire exterior of my car. Not $400 for 3/4 of my car. Jason and his employee NEVER said anything about this being a partial payment. Bottom line, I wish I would've read reviews prior to going there because I see similar stories such as mine. Luckily, I found another detail shop in Auburn and after I explained how I was screwed the guy said, "You must be talking about Ballistic". Clearly this company has a pattern of ripping people off. read more

Amazing job and attention to detail. They worked with me very well and even helped me fix some issues I had from another detailing company. My car was scratched pretty bad from a local car wash and as corny as it sounds Jason and his team removed them and honestly had my car looking brand new. I would highly recommend his shop if you need that yearly wax and polish. They also do interiors! I'm very happy with the results! Had to go back and point out the spots that were missed. Later I found more spots. I should of gone back again. But it would of taken more of my time. My kid was ripped off by Ballistic Detailing today. Ballistic Detailing charged $50 on a credit card charge of $400. On $400 most people would use a credit card and most businesses do not charge $50 for using a credit card. My kid was also quoted a lower price for the work that they said they were going to do and unfortunately did not get it in writing and was overcharged. if the company was going to charge more they should have called and cleared it with my kid. It is appalling to take advantage of a young college student because they are polite and nice. read more

This was a little while ago and am posting now. I had to point out some things to them after the cleaning. Then when my seats finished drying, I noticed the stains still on my fabric seats. I paid for the steam clean. If I'm paying $300.00, I expect better. Might have been because they were busy that day. When I dropped off my car there were a few cars already in the shop and the back. Still, if you're busy, don't take on more than you can do. I don't recommend them for car detailing based on the underwhelming service I received. read more

For my birthday my dad offered to get my car detailed for me. It is a 2006, so at 10 years old, it really needed a good scrubbing. Not only does it look brand new on the outside - oooooh so shiny! The fabric arm rest which was grungy and dirty from skin oil I figured would be beyond cleanable, but looks brand new! What really got me to go through the effort to post a review is there complete attention to detail. They cleaned and shined the gas cap and compartment! Really! The first time I went to get gas and saw it I was blown away and knew I needed to let the world know how awesome this place is. I took my wife`s 17 Highlander for a full interior/exterior detail and was amazed at the results! Everything was beyond expectations and car looked brand new again. So, based on those results took my well worn 13 Tundra that had a few areas where I used rubbing compound to remove scratches but left dull areas where I thought I ruined the clear coat. Scratched my Honda entering my garage! Went to Ballistic to see if they can buff it out or do I need a body shop. Spoke to Jason the owner and he felt they can make it look pretty good without doing body work! I felt that he was honest and was very comfortable with the info.
