My daughter's dream came true- 7 years in the making she set out to make pointe. Discouraged from quitting in her elementary school years she prayed and felt dance was going to be a part of her future. Today marks the day of her making that goal as a freshman in high school. Cute store & has a lot from kids to adult! But the vibes are so weird here. You walk in, and they watch you like a hawk, and the children and adult stuff is so close/mixed together, I couldn't tell what size/age group i was looking at clothes wise. The blonde girl is a trip, absolutely NO! Customer service skills are on that one and / or knowledge, no help on sizing, and has racist vibes. She never left the front desk until I was out of her view and then followed me. She needs training or to be let go! preferably let go. Her alone made me never want to come back. Now the brown haired girl, she's nice and helpful and very quick and knowledgeable. But yeah, so weird, the blonde, especially ugh. I would recommend making the adult sized stuff more noticeable because you walk in and it only looks like they sell kid size, the dance world doesn't stop at adults and the presentation/layout of the store makes you feel like it does. Brought my daughter to get fitted for jazz shoes. Was refused service because I was unsure if I was going to purchase, as I needed to confirm the shoe first. I had every intention of purchasing shoes from them, even though they cost $15 more. I wanted to ensure the right fit. But after I was refused service, in front of other customers - which was embarrassing and humiliating- to say the least, I left. Here my daughter & her friend sat, shoes off, waiting. Was told they are a small store and did not want to fit her in the event I didn't purchase. Unbelievable. I will take my business elsewhere. I wonder if they treat all of their customers this way, or just the brown ones I gave it one star only because 0 wasn't an option. read more

My oldest is sensitive to most leotards for gymnastics. She was able to find 2 plain black dance leotards that she was mostly comfortable in. The customer service was fantastic and super helpful. I also found shoes for me to teach hip hop on Zumba in. I received a discount on the leotards for being a teacher, too! What a cute place! I love it! read more

This store has excellent service. Certain times of the year are busier than others, and occasionally customers may have to wait for service. Late summer is the time that all the ballet schools in the area enroll for the fall season, and most of the SE Wisconsin ballet population end up at Ballera to purchase the required uniforms. Ballera staff go out of their way to provide expert service for fittings, and provide uniforms and shoes for even the Milwaukee Ballet school. The prices are very reasonable, with shoes for young dancers ranging in the $20. Leotards and quality tights, along with shoes cost under $65 for the required uniform. My family has shopped at Ballera for 6 years, and the service has always been friendly, helpful and professional. read more

The only reason I gave a 1 is because a zero was not available. I walked in this afternoon to purchase some ballet shoes for my 6 year old daughter. When we walked in none of the employees greeted us. They didn't ask us about if they could help us, NOTHING! I'm praying that they are just rude and me and my child being brown had nothing to do with it. As bad as I needed the shoes, I walked out; $93.00 for ballet shoes and awful service just doesn't cut it. I'll spend my hard earned else where. read more

I am very much PRO small business, but I will no longer shop here. This place has the WORST customer service ever! Rude rude rude. Young people being able to take dance lessons is a privilege! Every single item in that store is an accessory to that. Customers should be treated with basic kindness and respect. These people treat you like they are doing you a favor letting you breathe in their space. This store is 10 minutes from my house, but i will drive an hour to the next closest dance store before I shop Bellara again. Order what you need through your dance studio or on Amazon people. Not worth the hassle. read more
