Had the best experience at Ballast Point in Miramar. The staff seriously went above and beyond. Shoutout to Max who is especially amazing with all families with kids. The food is delish - can't ever go wrong with the pretzel bites and chicken tenders. Also love the beer selection. Thanks again!!

Work decided to have a 25 person partnering session here. The conference room is better suited for smaller groups of around 10 people or less, as the monitor display is not big enough to span two rooms. FOOD Breakfast and lunch were carb heavy with fruits, pastries, flatbreads. There was unfortunately not enough chicken bites to go around. BLT skewers were tasty.

Yellow Curry Mussels. Very spicy!

Ballast Point has been a San Diego staple for years. I've been to this location countless times, enjoying gatherings with coworkers and friends. The restaurant is very family-friendly, welcoming both children and pets. I love their outdoor patio and the overall casual vibe of the brewery. The menu offers a diverse selection, ranging from fish tacos and mussels to burgers. I definitely prefer breweries with their own kitchens compared to those relying solely on food trucks, which I've noticed is a common occurrence in many San Diego breweries. i don't enjoy "heavy" beers so Wahoo white is still my favorite till this day, perfect on a hot day.

I met a group of friends and former co-workers here for Happy Hour one night. We arrived at 5 to an empty parking lot and bar, but it was busy by the time we left. I had a sour wench which was tasty, the perfect notes of sour that I like, and went down smoothly. They have a Monday burger special that a lot of the guys did, which was a burger, fries, and a pint. A few others ordered the braised short ribs which were delicious. It was too cold to sit on the patio, but the bar stools were comfortable enough and it wasn't overly crowded so we were able to spread out and have a good time. The beer and food are always great at Ballast.

What a wonderful brewery! I've had incredible service every time I have come here and it starts right when I walk in with the host. I've come during peak dinner hours and even during peak Holiday season and have always been warmly greeted and seated quickly. They have a quick drink and bites section in the middle of the brewery if you just need a quick in and out. Ordering is done via a QR code. They have daily $5 beer pint specials which are incredible value! My favorites are the Longfin Lager and Grunion Pale Ale. The interior is lively with plenty of TVs to watch sports. They bring food and beer out very quickly and it's a general joy to be here with friends and coworkers. Will be back for more. Cheers!

Staff was very welcoming and accommodating. We went on a Saturday midday and it was to busy . Lot of seating options , bar , bar top tables , regular tables and outdoor pation . We received our food and drinks right away. They have a deal going for a 6-pack foe $10

Absolutely love the vibe here. It's huge and spacious. This brewery is also super family friendly. We were in a private room for a celebration, and it was perfect space for the group. I ordered margarita pizza with add on sausage and also ordered brussel sprouts. Pizza was very good! It was thin crust, and dough was well made. The cheese had a good cheese pull. Pizza came out hot too. The brussel sprouts was not so good. It wasn't crispy and was pretty oily. It looked good but taste kind of burnt and soggy. I would definitely get the pizza. The fried calamari is also good choice This place also has huge parking lot. The staff was friendly and attentive.

This was a work event for my gf and we were out on the patio. The fire pit provided a sizeable dining area for all of us. The ability to order through the app and have your food delivered made the experience very seamless. The beers were good and my pizza was light and airy and hit the spot. My gf enjoyed her brussel sprouts which gapped of a fun filled evening. Great place for group outings and the patio offers a very relaxed and open vibe

Cant go wrong with Ballast Point. Usually I go to smaller breweries but was in the neighborhood, glad I came. Place was clean and neat and staff service was good as always. From left to right Calico Amber Ale, Wahoo White, Dead Ringer Oktoberfest Lager, Daisho Lager, Birria Tacos. Everything was good but the Daisho Lager was memorably nice and crisp.

Dropped by to grab some quick drinks and small food with the gang after a keycap event before we headed to the 626 night market! The service here is wild! We sat down with our friends and there are QR codes on the tables for the menu. The really neat thing is that each QR is unique to your table, meaning you can place your order through and they'll bring it literally immediately! AND, each person has their own tab on their phone which was great. Mobile checkout was super quick and easy too!! I got an unsweetened iced tea, delicious as always and I had some of my bf's coffee stout? I can't remember exactly but it was delicious and I don't normally go for that kind of drink when it comes to alcohol! We shared some garlic fries and their pretzel bite things, both delicious and really hit the spot. Definitely a great place to grab some drinks and small bites, didn't get anything else but stayed to chat and hang out with friends we don't see often. Love how quick and easy the entire place is! I can definitely see this as a future service for tons of food spots! IG: @ammysalamii

The very refreshing Grunion Pale Ale from Ballast Point!

Steve and I once again went to Ballast Point for a beer. We try to pick one that we haven't had before even though we have our favorites with the brewery we decided to try something that we haven't had from our beer selection. We had the Grunion Pale Ale on this particular outing and we liked this pale ale very well. Flavor features to look for with this beer is hoppiness, fruity and floral. The beer is light bodied which we often like and desire and this pale ale is smooth in body which we appreciate a great deal on nearly every beer experience occasion.

Stopped in for a couple beers today. Hadn't been in a looooong time. Opening day for MLB. Caught a couple innings of the Padres vs Giants. Clean place as always....good beers...decent service. It was after lunch hours so not busy at all. Place is super clean and quick service. Plenty of parking when it isn't lunchtime.

Wild arugula, fried capers, shaved red onion, heirloom tomato, poached egg. Hollandaise sauce, English muffin, country breakfast potatoes *Angus Griddle Burger -shredded lettuce, tomato, white American cheese ,BP special sauce, pepperoncini, sesame bun *Southern Chicken and Waffles. Ask the Community - Ballast Point Brewing

What time is Happy Hour?

I don't believe they have a Happy Hour.

Is outside food okay to bring?

They do not since they have their own kitchen

Does this place have non alcoholic beers? My boyfriend doesn't drink but likes to have a N/A beer.

They have a non alcoholic craft section on their drink menu :)

Do they allow cake cutting (cake bought from outside) and is there any cake cutting fee?

The website for their Long Beach location states the following. I can't find one for this specific location but would assume it's the same. Specialty cakes and desserts are subject to an outside dessert fee of $1.50 per person.

Are kids allowed?

Yes it is open to all ages and they even have a kids menu.

What is the counter seating like? I'm trying to make a reservation for 8, but am limited to bar and counter seating and am a bit hesitant since we are coming for a birthday and want to still be seated at a table.

The counter seating is quite nice, and insures you get prompt service. But I am not sure if it would be appropriate for a group of eight celebrating a birthday due to the face-to-face interaction requirement. There is a party room and there is… Read more

Yes!

Is it dog friendly?

Yes, the patio is dog friendly.

Why is the online menu so difficult to find?? Online website isn't convenient to figure out either.

Is there outdoor dining available?

No, not at the moment.

What are the Sunday hours for their brunch?

We are open at 10a every Sunday!

Any vegetarian options?

They have a great Impossible Burger!

Do they allow dogs? Inside or outside?

Yes! The entire patio is dog friendly and open seating.

How long is the tour? Can I bring young kids with me?

I went about a year ago. The tour took maybe 1-1 1/2 hours. I don't think children are allowed into the brewery. It's a work area, safety glasses were required as well. Beautiful restaurant and bar though.

Their outdoor seating with patio is beautiful! This place is absolutely divine! At this point, I dont really care about how the food tastes. Lol! Let's start off with the one problem i had with this place. The parking!!! It took me 20m to find parking and im not about to park my car on the street. I have precious dogs! Lol kidding. I just couldn't find any parking on the street or in the block! I suppose i came during lunch which is probably really busy. When I left, there were quite a few opened parking spots. This place is connected to an apartment complex surrounding retail stores. The leasing building is right next to Gravity Heights. I used to rent a 4k+ a month apartment in a retail area and let me tell you, its a hassle to find parking and not take a retail parking spot without having your complex email you everyday about your car potentially being towed lol! I understand this pain. Now that we are past that, let's get to why this place deserves 5 stars. The service is excellent! My server came around at the perfect times and they seem to really care if I enjoyed my meal! The stellar atmosphere with attentive service is enough for me! I got a gravity burger protein style which I dont think did the burger justice. I was going to eat with my husband later at a Vietnamese restaurant and I can only choose one carb for the day. My diabetic life is tough! Lol. I chose the Cesar salad to go with my burger. My burger was delicious bc of the caramelized onions. I didn't really taste a sauce in the burger but the excellent bacon with the much needed caramelized onions made the burger fantastic! The IPA hazy beer i had with my meal was also light and mellow. I thoroughly enjoyed my time and meal. My babies also enjoyed their burger! The weather was perfect today and it was a nice time and to think I was not going to eat here bc the parking definitely was a huge deterrent. Next time ill bring human company!

Decided to stop by here to try out their happy hour and was not disappointed. Parking was fairly…read moreeasy and got a spot right outside the restaurant. We got sat right away in the happy hour area. As we were walking in I noticed the decor looked really nice and the ambience of the restaurant felt clean and modern. We ordered some happy hour cocktails to start and they were really strong (but tasty) in my opinion. Maybe I'm just lightweight though. We also ordered some oysters, the shrimp aguachile, and the smashburger to share which were all tasty. Service was good, our waitress was friendly and checked up on us. Overall a successful happy hour visit and would visit again as they seem to have a rotating menu.
