All went well, so i decided why not do my next oil change there. When I scheduled the first one they were really pushing a pre-paid 3 oil change package. I preferred they earn my business by offering great service. after the first service they left a half full water bottle in my truck. I asked them in the future please don't leave trash in my vehicle. Strike one! So when I went for the second oil change they again pushed their pre-paid oil change package which I declined after the first experience. Well when I asked for a tire rotation, all my tires were a little low on pressure. This is normal in the winter time and since they were going to rotate my tires I didn't air them up myself. When I got my vehicle, no trash this time but all my tires were 5 to 6 psi low like the were when i brought it in. So much for full service... Strike 2! Now when i needed them to do me a solid and please squeeze me for an oil change. I showed up a half hour early before opening and was first in line. they said I would have to leave it and pick it up at 5pm. I said sorry but my schedule wouldn't allow and I need to make an emergency trip across the country to see family in need. So Strike 3! Never again! I immediately drove from there to Jessup GMC in Cathedral City. They looked busy but was able to get me out and on the road in 2 hours. So kudos to them and hopefully LQ Chevrolet will take note and remember great service earns business, not multiple pre-paid service at a discount. If the service is bad then there really is no discount. Maybe after being loyal and earning my business you offer a discount for being loyal, not before.

Poor Management, Wasted Time…read more I drove an hour to this location after reserving a vehicle online. The website made everything simple -- that's where the good experience ended. When I arrived, I waited about 20 minutes past my appointment time. After sitting down with the salesperson, I learned the car I came for had open recalls and couldn't be sold -- something they texted me about 30 minutes before my arrival while I was already driving. No earlier call, no meaningful notice. I had already been there nearly an hour. Management offered a $300 shipping credit (only usable at that location), which wouldn't even cover the typical shipping cost. They refused to apply it elsewhere or cover full shipping despite the inconvenience. Gas reimbursement required a printed receipt from before leaving -- unrealistic. I decided to look only at cars physically on the lot. I clearly said no white cars and no compacts. I was repeatedly shown white cars and compacts. Eventually I purchased a different vehicle after another long wait. During the test drive, the tire pressure light came on. I was told it was handled before delivery -- it wasn't. The car was also handed over dirty (filthy rims) and missing the actual emergency key -- I was given a plastic cover instead. The salesperson was polite, but management failed at communication, preparation, and basic follow-through. I've bought from CarMax before with no issues. This location was a completely different experience. I won't return. Four hours in-store for this level of execution is unacceptable.

I asked a lot of questions, and he knew the answers right away. Deanna Cross, the Floor manager came right over to me and a colleague to greet us and ask us how things were going. My observations while waiting in the hospitality waiting area showed me that people were basically sitting down and then immediately getting up to retrieve their cars. My first oil change experience was 5 Star rated, all the way around!! I am so glad that I bought a vehicle from this fine dealership!!

Extremely disappointing and concerning experience with Shottenkirk Desert Lexus…read more I brought my Lexus LS460 in because the vehicle would not go over 30 mph. The dealership kept my car for several weeks, performed their diagnostics, and confidently advised that the issue was related to the injector driver/ECU. Based on their recommendation and supposed expertise, I approved a repair totaling over $5,300. That repair did NOT fix the original problem. What's even more concerning is that their own documentation shows they recommended "additional diagnosis" before completing the repair, yet they still proceeded with a costly fix that did not resolve the issue I brought the car in for. Now, instead of taking accountability, I'm being told they are "not sure" what the problem is and are recommending another $3,000+ in additional repairs. In other words, more trial-and-error--at my expense. This is not what you expect from a Lexus dealership. The issue wasn't properly diagnosed, the repair did not address the actual problem, and now the diagnosis has changed after the fact. At this point, I've paid over $5,000 and the original drivability issue remains unresolved. Being asked to continue paying for uncertain repairs after a failed initial diagnosis is unacceptable. I have escalated this matter to Lexus corporate and am pursuing further action. If you are considering service here, especially for major repairs, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before approving any work. This experience raises serious concerns about diagnostic accuracy and accountability at this location.

I told the salesperson that I was there to look at this particular car. Immediately he said it was sold. Then I asked how long ago it sold...because it was still posted. He said a couple of days ago. Then he said hold on let me check. He went to the back hallway and asked this other guy if he sold the car. Things got a little quieter and I couldn't hear what they were talking about...but the conversation was a little long for a simple yes or no question....is the car sold ? He came back out and told me he thinks it's still there. He said he had to find the keys and would bring it around to the front. He did. I took a look ...I was interested . I noticed that there had been a sticker that was removed from the window ..still had the glue mark on the glass. Important clue for me. I asked if I could drive the car and he said he would have to ask his manager. Weird..but ok. Got in to drive and I was told I couldn't leave the parking lot area. Even stranger. Said it had to be saftey checked. It had already been posted online and on the floor. But if I was interested it still needed to be finished being checked. And wouldn't be available yet but I could start the process. This was BS for sure. So I said I'm interested...but only if we could do a little better deal. He said sure let's go in and talk about it. He asked me did I have the online price and could I pull it up on my phone...I said yes . This is their site ....he knows the price. This is where everything starts to crumble for me. He's talking too much. Side tracking. And I'm trying to put all of these things together....it just started to feel off. He kept telling me all of these things that you get when you buy a used car from them. A year warranty / first service ...blah blah blah. And this is why..... My husband decided to take the ride out to Indio to check out the car since it was over 100 miles away from us. (Yes, that's how much we liked the car lol) Long story very short, everyone we came in contact with was professional & respectful. They were not "pushy salesmen" like most people are used to at car dealerships. They made us feel welcomed instead of just a sale to them. Upon inspection of the car, we did notice something was broken. They acknowledged that they missed it & fixed the problem without any issues. When we got home, unfortunately there was another issue with the vehicle that we immediately brought to their attention. We had to drive back in for service on the initial broken part, so they looked at the new issue too. Everything was fixed according to the service dept. We got home & realized unfortunately the 2nd issue was not resolved. We called them & they set us up to be taken care of at a local repair center due to the distance from our house to the dealership (they did an exceptional job btw) All in all, even with a few hiccups - we couldn't be happier with their service & professionalism. Things happen & nothing is ever going to go perfectly smooth, that's life- but, wow. They made sure to make things right & went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of, communicated with us & never left us wondering. **side note - the facility was clean, the restrooms were kept up & clean, they had waters, coffee & vending machines for you while you wait. This is not posted anywhere and we were not informed prior to the service performed. It felt a bit deceptive. We covered our service in cash but if you had an extensive service, this could be a huge surprise. Please do your customers and your service associates a favor and post there are additional fees for making purchases with a credit card.

The 1st week of having the vehicle, the transmission light came on, so I scheduled an appointment and took in to get serviced for a valve body repair under warranty. The service took a couple of days, but as soon as I picked the car up and drove it off the lot, it immediately started acting funny--violently shaking and having a severe engine misfire. It is incredibly frustrating to buy a new vehicle, have it throw a major transmission code immediately, and then get it back from the dealer with entirely new, severe engine performance issues that weren't there when I dropped it off. Clearly, something was either disturbed during the transmission service or quality control completely failed to check the car before handing the keys back to me. Now I have the massive inconvenience of dealing with a compromised car and having to take it right back to the shop. Extremely disappointed with Jessup Auto Plaza.
