This place was built by someone who really loves and cares for the elderly. More like a lovely…read moreresort hotel than an assisted living place. It's got a great, uplifted vibration to it, which I think is so helpful when we are needing care like this at the end of life. The staff are loving and amazing. The dining room is elegant and great care goes into the preparation of the meals. I couldn't have imagined such a supportive environment for our parents. My dad lived upstairs in Assisted Living area since October. The care he received was wonderful. Our family visited every day, and everyone we met has been quite extraordinary. It's not easy to find a place that has this quality and consistency of support. My dad arrived here in October walking easily on his own and coming really only for the meals and socializing. He was living on his own for awhile and it was getting to be more work than he wanted to do to drive and shop. Amazingly, he had a rather sudden decline in his health within about a month and needed quite a bit of care. We were so relieved and grateful that he could remain here and receive the care he needed. In fact, they've helped cover his car needs every step of the way. It's a blessing we didn't need to move to nursing care. He just passed peacefully last week, and the amount of concern and kindness from all the staff is hard to describe. Wonderful. He received hospice care while being able to continue to stay here through the hospice folks who are part of the facility's medical support. They were angels, too. (A shout out to Bloom Hospice - huge thanks to Betsy, Hope, and the whole team). My mom was cared for in the downstairs memory wing 2 years ago, and also received loving care. We couldn't have been more grateful for everything Cherry Hills provided for her. Angels do this kind of work. Adding this note for families who are searching for the right place: my dad moved here looking forward to some social interaction with others, and was good health when he moved in. But he found that there were almost no others (just one man) at the facility who were mentally clear like he was. He adapted to the new reality, but it would have been more stimulating had he had more people to talk with. As a service, he spent time with many people there who were pleasant but mentally diminished. They were not close to his level of clarity. Perhaps there are more people like that than he was able to meet. But if your parent is clear-minded and physically able to, he would be better off in an independent living place with tiered levels of additional support as needed.

Assisted Living? Memory Care? You are covered here. Fabulous community where it really is a…read morecommunity that residents enjoy being part of. This review is based on visits and tours made there to check out what they are all about. Michelle is likely your first point of contact since she is, I believe, the Director of "Sales and Marketing" (?). Kara I believe works for her and fills in for Michelle when needed. Both are fabulous, but Michelle really knows her stuff and understands what needs to be done if you are thinking of being part of their community. The place itself is really nice and elegant, with lots of energy and positive activities. Beautiful walking area outside for memory care residents. Trails right outside to walk, are abundant and also very nice as you walk thru the park right there/golf course. Different sized Rooms make up assisted living (AL) --studio, 1 BR, 2 BR. Memory care (MC) only has 2 sizes of studios--385 and 520 sq feet. The views you have contribute to the price as well. They also have Assisted Living with their Essentials support, provides a bridge between AL and MC. Food is pretty nice. Heritage week was being offered where unique foods from other areas around the world were being featured. Service was pretty great. Kind, compassionate when talking to residents. Beautiful set-up with dishes being offered on display as you walk in. Love the front desk team. All super nice and energetic. Very knowledgable and helpful. A nice sized theater for movies. Arts and crafts room. Library space. Outside deck/seats and tables with a very calming and beautiful view. Exercise class in the morning and other activities throughout the day. Live music/happy hour. Super fun all around. If you are looking for a super nice place where your loved one will be well taken care of, and feel safe and happy, this is your place.

If I could give The Granville 10 stars, it wouldn't be enough!…read moreI was the sole caregiver for my Grandmother for almost 5 years when it proved to be just too much for me to handle. The reason why I hadn't gotten her into her own "apartment" or facility, is because of what my mind thought an assisted living facility was going to be. I didn't want my Grandmother to be in a place that wasn't well maintained, or where the staff were abusive in any way etc etc. All the horror stories that one hears about pertaining to elder care facilities. Well, The Granville is ANYTHING but! From the second we toured the location right before the pandemic, I was put at ease. The residents seemed happy, the entire place was decorated just beautifully and extremely clean, and the staff was just so nice! It really felt like home! The help and expertise that they provided to me in getting my Grandmother approved was also a Godsend, because all of the paperwork can be tricky for someone not familiar! My Grandmother's apartment was just so lovely too! She was able to decorate it how she wanted, and there is a little kitchenette area with a fridge and microwave so she can have her favorite snacks. She has been there over a year now and I couldn't have asked for a better location to have provided the utmost care during the pandemic. They even took the necessary precautions one week ahead of time before the Government shut everything down. To accommodate all the residents who now were unfortunately unable to leave their rooms, must have been such an undertaking!! But the staff still made my Grandmother and the other residents not feel neglected and forgotten about. Making little crafts and spending a little more time with the residents so they didn't feel so alone during this scary time. They went above and beyond making sure everyone was kept safe and stayed healthy and just did an incredible job and am so grateful to everyone at The Granville. I could go on and on about the staff being just perfect and everything I could have ever hoped for, for my Grandmother. If you have a loved one and you are feeling apprehensive about locating a place where you can rest easy at night knowing they're being cared for properly and with respect, then look no further. My Grandmother absolutely LOVES living at The Granville! She has made friends, still has her independence and adores the staff! I am eternally grateful for finding the Granville and cannot thank Sara, Joe, Kathy, Jamie, Mary and the rest of the entire staff for providing this location and the care that they give to someone that means SO much to me!

He was in a couple of other facilities that were below par before we found the Granville. From the moment we walked in, we felt that this was home. Sara, the executive director helped us with the transition paperwork and made it totally painless. The employees really make you feel like they are part of the extended family. Joe, Donna, Alicia, are just a few of the great "family" members that always have a friendly smile. I could go on and on about all of the wonderful things about the Granville. Since dad moved in I have had to move about 60 miles away and I would love to have him closer, but I haven't found any other facility that can match the Granville. For me, the drive is more than worth it to have him live here. The Granville is always clean, the employees are warm and friendly, activities are available, the meals nutritious, meds are accurate and the apartments wonderful. Since dad has lived here they have spent money on capital improvements to keep the facility in top shape and comfortable for their residence. I would and have highly recommended the Granville to anyone that is needing a place to LIVE and add to their extended "family"!

Every assisted living or memory care place seems almost the same and seemed to have the same sales pitch. I just couldn't sift through any more of it and feel confident on my own in finding a better situation for my dad. Sitting at the computer in tears scrolling through assisted living websites, I stumbled across Stacy's Helping Hands here on Yelp. I called the company and reached the owner, Pam Silverberg. It was probably one of the single best things that ever happened in this painful, complicated road of caring for my dad. Pam was warm, friendly, and interested in helping me. Before i even engaged her services, she gave so much of her time to me. She wasn't another one of the sales people in the assisted living business - she just seemed like a concerned friend. And she had a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience. We worked together for several months because I was so nervous about moving my dad. But she was patient and kept talking with me through good options. She was a fantastic sounding board. She got to know my dad's needs and made recommendations based on his needs and my concerns. She visited several facilities with me and became a good interface between me and the facility we finally chose. She was alongside us as we moved my dad and continued to interface with the facility and advocate for us in a couple of situations that arose when we moved my dad in. No one should navigate this road alone. Pam at Stacy's Helping Hands genuinely wants to help people navigate this arduous road. I feel like she's really become a friend in this whole process. If you're exhausted and nervous and overwhelmed - call Pam! Even if you don't engage her services, you will find a listening ear and undoubtedly a bit of sincere and valuable advice.

I cannot overstate her compassion, patience, and effort to help us. I highly recommend Stacy's Helping Hand to anyone looking for help with this process!

When I look at the reviews on this page, I would say these WERE accurate, however, they have new leadership and subsequently, the service has significantly declined. - Staff are leaving left and right. Outside of front desk staff, you'd be hard pressed to find more than a handful of staff who have been there longer than 2 years. And honestly, the reason most of the residents haven't left is because it's just so hard of an adjustment moving elders. But many families and residents have shared their concerns in whispered conversations. - Leaks throughout the building but mostly on the second floor, which have resulted in mold and leaks to the first floor multipurpose room. - A whirlpool that is a selling point but has hardly, if ever worked. - Ignored emails or calls from concerned families. Or responses from leadership that are brash. - Someone else already mentioned in their review the front desk staff who don't acknowledge/speak to people -- that's guests and residents alike (why would onsite leadership be okay with that?). - All of this while prices have consistently been increasing. The final straw was Garden Plaza recently came under new ownership -- Life Care Centers of America. Name sounds familiar? Maybe because they were ground zero for elder deaths at the beginning of COVID. A five second Google search will tell you everything else you need to know. Here are the most notable legal actions against the company: 1. Medicare & TRICARE Fraud ($145 Million Settlement with Dept. of Justice where concerned employees were the initial whistleblowers) - Oct. 2016 2. Wage and Overtime Class Actions -- 2015-2020 3. Patient Abuse and Neglect Verdicts -- 2022 & 2024 4. Employment Discrimination -- 2024-2025 & active investigations in 2026 Garden Plaza is the Independent Living side and The Bridge at Garden Plaza is the Assisted Living side. Now most of these lawsuits are related to skilled nursing (aka assisted living or rehab), but the point still remains that this is who now OWNS Garden Plaza, coupled with lackluster onsite leadership.
