    Honduran enchiladas!
    Bret C.

I noticed Lili's #2 while driving down Spring Valley a while back and finally made it in to enjoy my first experience with Honduran food. The decor is busy and bursting with Honduran pride. Seating is simple. Tables with chairs and a line of booths along with east wall. There was ample seating during lunch on a Thursday. I ordered the baleada con carne and it was great. I think next time I'll order plantain ($1) or avocado($.75) with whatever I get to kick it up a notch. I also had the enchiladas Hondureños that were fantastic. It's more like a tostada than an enchilada to me, and it came with seasoned ground beef, cabbage, sauce, tomato, boiled egg and crumbled cheese. Was the only non-Hispanic in there and that's really a shame. Our immigrant neighbors have brought their delicious food to us and a pursuing the American dream of owning a business. I say that should be rewarded. Go. Eat. Here!

You are allowed to order 3 dishes each round for the apps. They come around with the pasta and meat portions. Bad thing is that you can never say no! Ambiance: it felt so cute and cozy! There was live music and gave such a homey vibe for a high scale restaurant. Looking around, every table was there to celebrate some kind of event so make sure to make reservations! Service 5/5: we made reservations prior and we came for a birthday celebration. Our server was AMAZING. he explained everything to us and gave recs! I wish I got his name but he was fantastic! Took care of us and always checked in :) Parking: free parking around the building!

The concept was a delight, all you can eat course dining where you can try everything and order more of what you like. When you sit down, they bring each of the four course out in full to your table and give you time to enjoy each plate. The first course was a simple course of a light cheese dumpling soup and warm fresh bread with a variety of spreads. We found this course an excellent introduction and the soup was exceptionally executed. The second course was a course of appetizers. This is the course we liked the best, the large number of small plates really made the meal feel lavish and each dish was high quality and made with care. I loved the grilled cheese and the spiced apple sauce served with the chicken was delicious. The third course was the entree course, consisting of a number of grilled steaks, poultry, and pasta dishes. The chicken was a bit salty for my tastes but the pasta and the steaks were competently prepared. Lastly, the fourth course was a delightful dessert consisting of flan, chocolate mousse, and a passion fruit mousse. The passion fruit mousse was especially good, but I think each of the desserts worked well to balance each other out. I would like to see dessert with some more variety of texture. The service was perfect, our waiters came around at just the right times and took care to tell us about the dishes on offer. I was equally impressed with the atmosphere. Overall, the dinner price is a little steep, but I think it is well worth it. We will certainly be returning!

The restaurant has a warm, cozy ambiance, and the staff was exceptional--friendly, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our visit. We ordered the ceviche, quesadillas, Budín Azteca de Pollo, Pollo con Mole, and a taco from the kids' menu. Unfortunately, the ceviche missed the mark for me. It tasted as though it had been made with bottled lime concentrate rather than fresh lime juice. I also found the shrimp preparation disappointing. Instead of being evenly diced, the shrimp was cut into random strips, making it difficult to get a balanced bite with both the seafood and vegetables. Consistently chopping the shrimp into smaller, uniform pieces would improve both the presentation and the eating experience. The Budín Azteca de Pollo was also underwhelming. The tomatillo sauce had an overly sour flavor, similar to what can happen when tomatillos are overcooked, and the chicken was unfortunately overcooked as well, leaving it dry and chewy. Everything else we ordered was acceptable--nothing stood out as exceptional, but it wasn't bad either. Overall, I really appreciated the inviting atmosphere and outstanding customer service, but I had expected much better execution from the kitchen. Maybe this was just an off day.

We had seen the place on Yelp and planned to grab something quick to go, but it turned into a great stop. The location is fantastic and convenient near the airport. The hostess was welcoming right away and directed us to the bar so we could place a quick to-go order. At the bar, the bartender gave excellent service and convinced us to try a couple of tacos along with the yuca fries and plantains we originally planned to order--and I'm glad he did. The Tacos Al Carbón were outstanding: grilled fajita beef with sautéed poblano and onion on flour tortillas topped with pico de gallo and guacamole. The steak was tender and full of flavor. The beans and rice were just right, and the plantains with coconut sauce were a perfect addition. The bartender also recommended a Stone Delicious IPA, which made the short wait enjoyable. We grabbed a Tamarindo agua fresca and bolitas de yuca for the road--light, flavorful, and perfect for the drive. Great food, great service, and a great find near the airport. Definitely worth stopping in.
