Pupusas. Fun word. Pooo. Pooo. Suuuuhhhhsss. I love pupusas. They're like cornmeal pancakes full of goodness. This place makes them as they are ordered. They're cheap and delicious. This is a Salvadorian joint and has freshly made aqua frescas, horchata, etc. I'm coming back for the beef foot stew one weekend.

I am a big fan of hole on the wall restaurants and I happen to pass by the restaurant and to top it all of, I also love pupusas. Great variety of both salvadorian and some mexican food. I love the fact that they have spinach pupusas. Tiny place, hence hole on the wall but decent. Food took a little bit longer but they made the pupusas fresh so it is understandable. Definitely going back again!

They wouldn't serve me, I sat at a table for ten minutes while they waited on everyone around me. I guess they don't like Gringos here.

We had a reservation, which is recommended because the restaurant was very busy on a Saturday night in May. We opted to sit on the patio because the weather was gorgeous. I am not sure if the patio is climate controlled in the summer or not. But on that night we were there, the weather was mild so it was very pleasant. They have happy hour on Saturdays so I started with an IPA on tap and the wife had a Prosecco, also for happy hour prices. This is a tapas restaurant so I will try to remember all that we had. Manchego cheese board: excellent. The crisps and jam were perfect with the cheese. Potato torilla: excellent. The flavors melded very well and it was very tasty. It's filling so keep that in mind. Ceviche de jalapeno: excellent. Not too spicy, the shrimp and seafood was fresh with no fishy smell. The plantains were cooked perfectly, not greasy. Brisket on crostini: excellent. Forget the name but they are a winner. Brisket is good quality and the flavors come together nicely. Chicken skewer: excellent. They smartly use chicken thighs so the meat is juicy and tender. Tuna tartare: good. It actually was my least favorite. The quality was very good but it did not have much flavor. I needed some heat, some acid, something to give it a kick. We were absolutely stuffed and did not try dessert. Our server Marcellus was excellent. Very helpful and pleasant throughout. He never disappeared for too long. Overall, we had a great meal and will undoubtedly return here again.

Off the bat, really enjoy the diverse menu at si tapas. We ordered about seven plates and they were…read moreall decent, the bread was fantastic. Our main concerns were that, none of the dishes really stood out from an ingredients standpoint. Food seemed kind of bland and not memorable. The state we received was also completely raw when we asked for it, medium rare. The ambience of this place is precious, but I can see it getting pretty packed on the weekends. Wanted to go here for over a year, and after my experience, I probably wouldn't go back again.

Glad they did, so we could come here instead. When we got there it wasn't too busy, so we were able to get seated quickly. We ended up getting a bunch of tapas and everything we got reminded us of our trip to Barcelona. Granted it was a lot cheaper in Barcelona, but the different dishes felt fairly authentic. Out of all the dishes I truly enjoyed the garlic shrimp and the beet dish. Also you can't go wrong with the tomato bread. Lastly, get the sangria if you drink. Service was also great and they stopped by ever so often to check in on us. They also have the option to eat outside... Considering it was fairly cold we opted to eat inside. The only major con about this place is the parking. I know it's now their fault, but during peak hours it's very difficult to find street parking. I'm not sure if they have their own dedicate parking lot.

In my ten years of eating out every week and trying a brand new restaurant, Sketches of Spain was…read moreby far the worst experience I've ever had. The service was terrible we made a reservation but it still took 15 mins to seat even though the restaurant was empty on a weekday night. The food took almost an hour to come out and waitress never refilled our water once. The food itself was terrible, and I would highly other Spanish restaurant in the DFW area. Not only was the food bad, we were charged for another table's order which was more than our own table. This situation took 45 minutes to resolve and ultimately the restaurant couldn't figure out how to fix this. The table of strangers who we paid for were also incredible frustrated. Ultimately we just accepted paying more. Since this situation took so long to fix, we ended up getting a parking ticket going over our two hours paid while figuring this out. We reached out to management but our concerns were not heard. I would highly recommend avoiding this restaurant, coming from someone who rarely writes a bad review.

Every dish we tried felt fresh and authentically Spanish. The sangria was excellent, balanced and not overly sweet, and reasonably priced. I loved it! I say…read more"I" as my wife wasn't as big a fan of the food as I was. We had reservations in a busy Saturday night and were seated at a comfortable 2-top. They were about full when we arrived. Not so much when we left. While I thought there was a game tonight - it's the Eagles in concert at one of the nearby stadiums. Because it was packed when we arrived, the space was fairly loud. Cheyenne was our server and she did great. She knew the menu well and made some suggestions. We had already read the Yelp reviews and sort of knew what we wanted. Two of us shared: - Margarita rocks - Pan con Tomate - Crispy Pork - Jerk Chicken Paella The Pan con Tomate was amazing. Really cool presentation too. The Crispy Pork was real nice. A bit dry due to making it crispy. Really meaty too. The Jerk Chicken Paella was great. Cheyenne told us the jerk seasoning wasn't very spicy. She was right. I would have liked it spicier though but understand the decision to appeal to a broader section of diners. The socarrat was amazing. They make the paella in a small (8"?) cast iron skillet. It made for a perfect caramelization of the rice (socarrat). The dish had jerk seasoned chicken thighs and vegetables. Yum! I would have loved to have the Coconut Cake. But we were full and it was $22. We'll come back to Cafe Americana and try other dishes and the cake!
