Had a HORRIBLE experience getting orthotics. My heels rests on the edges of the orthotics because the orthotics are not wide enough. When I expressed my concerns, they shaved off the height of the edges, but that doesn't change the width. My concerns were not listened to after that; I was told to try them for a month first. How am I supposed walk on too-narrow orthotics? I want my money back. read more

I came in for help with a pelvic misalignment which resulted in heel inflamtion/fascia plantaris symptoms. This was my first time with chiropractic care. All staff were friendly, helpful and fun to converse with. It took 4 months but now I can finally walk again without inflammation/limping. I've been seeing this office for 30 years. I'm surprised by some negative comments on here because the doctors and staff are always super friendly. As for the billing comment about separate charges for everything- that's pretty standard anywhere you go. This office lets people without insurance pay a smaller fee if they pay cash. Always have. The 200 dollars one peRson mentioned for a free exam includes xrays and whatever tests they do. It would be malpractice to adjust someone without doing so first! ok so the office staff is super sweet and nice here. the bad is the doctor would not listen to me about my pain and what i wanted to be treated for. he never even checked my legs to see if i was straight in the hips. he just had me lay down and used some stupid gun thing on me that hurt so bad that i had to leave work for the rest of the day. they are way more intrested in me coming back over and over again than adjusting my back the right way. read more

I have had the pleasure (if that's possible) of using Baldwin for the past 2 monts due to a nasty soccer injury. They have not only helped in my recovery, but they are cheap (or atleast my co-pay is cheap) and the staff are awesome. Everyone is happy to be there and it's nice going to a place that is not only established...but is being passed on to the next generation of family members (the owner's daughter is now working there, as is her husband). Great people, great work, all around good experience. The only downfall (if you could find one) is that I wish I could get in and out quicker. Just because you show up early does not mean you get in early. Be prepared to wait (unless you go in at 8:45am on a Saturday...then you're golden!). read more

Mea culpa, I no longer go here, but I spent many, many sessions in this office, and while the treatment generally is professional, the results that I got were disappointing. Garry (the founder) seems to be the most in touch with his specific patients' needs. His daughter and her husband on the other hand routinely would come in, use the activator gun all over my spine, then use the massager on my back and send me out front to make the next appointment. After a while, I started to think that I was only going back for the same treatment - that I was in maintenance mode. When I suggested other treatments, like physical therapy, physical exercises, strengthening exercises, etc I was met with blank stares. For a while, the practice adopted a new chiropractor, Doctor Mook, whose treatment seemed much more client specific. For some reason either he left or was let go, right around the time that Dr. Baldwin's son-in-law came on board. Form your own conclusions. The practice appears to have become more focused on technology (they just installed computers in all of their exam rooms, but for the life of me I cannot see what they're there for) than on treatment. While they have pretty computerized assessment tools, X-rays, and various treatments available, they seem to be less focused on care and treatment than on moving patients through the office and getting them back for their next visit, which I find disturbing. Also, the practice had a high turnover of front desk people, which suggests that there's some sort of a problem in the office if they cannot keep their staff around. Chiropractic in the Seattle area is about as common place as Starbucks - maybe more so. If you have insurance paying for your treatment, you may not care about the progress that you make. If you go to Baldwin Chiropractic, just make sure that you know what you are paying for, and be critical about your progress. If you start to feel like you are going back for the same adjustment time after time, you may want to investigate alternatives. read more

Doctor Courtney is genuine and very good at getting to the point & fixing issues. She's amazing. You will not find a better chiropractic office. Well worth the trip to Kent every time. After moving away I made the mistake of trying someone else & found out quickly that if a chiro doesn't have in-house xrays and the trigger point gun system it's not the same experience, at all. I've only been here twice so far, but I've had a lot of improvement since and will be returning. I've never heard of chiropractors using tools but I've got to say, I'm a big fan. The appointments are quick but they give you a lot of information and show you specifically what your problem areas are. I've noticed a few reviews mentioning them wanting to milk you of your money which was not an impression I got, as I felt listened to and given personalized reviews and treatments. It is expensive but I had already assumed it wouldn't be cheap. I've recommended them so far. They've been able to get me in right away, even when I'm running late. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the quickness of the appointments, it does seem the appointments are scheduled close together and feels a little rushed. I assume though that they're still doing their due diligence in the 5-10 minutes I am being seen by them. read more

Absolute scumbags. First of all, the "complimentary exam" I signed up for was $200. But I had been going for a few weeks and the pain after the adjustments was absolutely unbearable. I was crying every night and couldn't get anything done it was that bad. Would take a few days before the pain was actually bearable. On the day I decided I was done I told Dr Courtney that it wasn't working out for me respectfully and she got very upset and defensive. She then used the adjustment machine very hard and aggressively. I've never had so much pain before in my life. It's even worse that it's ever been and I'm back to crying myself to sleep from the pain. I'm gonna end up overdosing on Advil at this point, it's like a routine medication now. To top all of this out I got a call from Baldwin Chiropractic asking if I was coming in and I started to mention how I'm worse than I've ever been and while I'm talking I got interrupted quickly with "so you're not coming? Bye" and they instantly hung up on me. WHILE I WAS STILL TALKING. How do you people sleep at night? My life is ruined and my depression is even worse now. Thanks. I'll probably need surgery now because of these scumbags. read more

Also, they have helped me be almost pain free after a serious car accident, and a neck injury that almost caused me to lose the use of my arms. Baldwin Chiropractic is very professional from the front desk staff to each of the providers. The techniques used in the office are far more effective than prior chiropractic treatments I have received. If I need to be seen urgently I can always get an appointment and they also have Saturday hours. read more

The people who work at the front desk are really nice. The older chiropractor lady is very very nice and gave me the best service. The gentleman and woman who I believe own the clinic are okay. They seem to hit you with the impulse gun for what feels like 5 minutes then send you on your way. What you are billed for this is kind of ridiculous too. Also, if they use the massage tool on you after the gun, you are charged another service fee. This isn't included in your copay visit. I'll admit, while I was going there my back and neck pain subsided, but it was never permanent. Also, this clinic has the most complicating billing system ever. I am always confused as to what I am being billed for and am always charged way more than I expect per visit. Because of this and the lack of permanent pain relief I have stopped coming here. Sucks because I really needed the work done on my back and neck. Hopefully I can find a better more trustworthy clinic in Kent read more

The staff is very friendly and very easy to talk to. I have no complaints about that at all. My complaint is about time. They do not manage their time well when it comes to appointments. I think out of the 5 appointments I have had, one was right when my appointment was. One time I waited 45 minutes after my appointment time on a Saturday before I was seen. Today I came in 10 minutes early thinking by some miracle that would help with them being on time to see me. Again, I waited. 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I walked out. I sent them an email saying please cancel all of my appointments as I won't be coming back. The Dr on today did call and leave a very nice voicemail with an apology, but that doesn't help me from sitting here and being in pain. I wait all week to see them on Saturday as weekends are the only time I can make it in. So now I have to be in pain even longer until I find another chiropractor who will value my time and want to help me with my back problem. As noted in other reviews, they are extremely pushy with wanting to see you every day, but I think that's normal for chiropractors. Just have to tell them what you want to do. If you have a lot of time to spend and don't mind waiting at a minimum of 20 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, then by all means go to this office. I won't be going back and I will not be recommending them to anyone I know. read more

My family was in two accidents within 6 weeks and between insurance and multiple appointments they always accommodated all 4 of us, sometimes as walk-ins.
