On the forms, I clearly indicated two areas of my body where I did NOT want to be touched. During the massage, my therapist touched those zoned off areas three times. The first time, it shocked me because I had clearly not consented to that area being worked on. I quickly asked the therapist to not touch me there and she didn't even verbally acknowledge me--she just moved her hands. It was deeply unsettling, and it happened two more times. I couldn't believe it. In the end, I paid over $200 for a session that left me feeling violated instead of rejuvenated. I don't know if this happened due to a lack of therapist training or a procedural failure. In either case, my consent form clearly wasn't reviewed in advance. I have attempted to resolve this issue privately with the studio by submitting feedback through their Listen360 survey (which I assume is not anonymous because it collects my initials). I waited a week for a response, but none came. I'm sharing this story because we ALL deserve to feel safe, heard, and respected in their own bodies.
