After reading some of the other positive reviews, I decided to try out Salon V, driving 40 minutes from Danbury. And man, am I so glad I did! I made my appointment online, easy peasy, selected first available for the time slot I desired. The stylist that I was paired up with originally was out sick, so I was moved over to Terry's chair. And as fate would have it, it was a perfect match. As a stylist with over 30 years of experience, she listened to what I was looking to have done, and dare I say it, almost intuitively gave me just what I was looking for. No kidding. As a 45 y/o mother of a 3 1/2 y/o rambunctious boy, I don't consider my hair "sexy" by any means. Terry gave me sexy hair. Even with my jacked up hair color (faded reddish purple by my own creation), it still looks amazing. Not an easy task, I know. She also took the time to explain many things to me about my hair, and what manner of blow drying (for when I have time to do so), would work best for the state my hair is in. Needless to say, I have found my new hair home. If you're looking for someone with oodles of experience, no fuss no muss. And a personable woman who listens to what you want, but is also going to be honest with you about what can realistically be achieved, then Terry is the one for you.

Upon entering the salon I was impressed - it is beautifully decorated with warm colors and a modern appeal. She is this bright, bubbly big ray of sunshine and both our consultation and conversation immediately put me at ease. Oh, and also... she's GREAT at her job! When all was said and done, my hair was better than the pictures I showed her, and better than I could have imagined! She NAILED it! I also got to meet the owner and some of the other stylists as well and they were all lovely. You can tell how close of a family they really are. At the end of the day, I highly recommend both the salon and Francesca to anyone who is looking for a great hair experience!

I moved to another salon to support a friend of mine. Unfortunately she didn't have time for me when I needed my hair done so I reached out to this place again. Their pricing dynamic is absolutely ridiculous. I was told that even if I got highlights or color I would be charged $50 FOR A BLOW DRY. I'm sorry what? You're going to color my hair but then charge me to dry it? How is the stylist supposed to check their work to make sure it even looks good or if I'm happy with it? I canceled my appointment and went somewhere else (based on a friends rec) because that is absolutely ridiculous.

Thankfully another woman called her to take care of me. But I'm rating my review on how well my hair was done not their customer service. So my hairdresser of 30 years decided to retire during the pandemic and I let my hair grow to a ridiculous length out of fear of going to a new one. Fortunately I have a friend and I love her hair so I asked where she went and the name of hairdresser. The salon is Luna and the stylist is Nakia. Great made an appointment came in and Nakia did her thing. She cut layers ( I never had before) & blowdried my hair and it looked great. The test was still to come - me doing my hair! Happy to say I can blow dry my hair with my head upside down. No styling no curling just blowing heat and when dry I flip it back in place and I L-O-V-E IT!!! So easy and it looks like it has all this body when in actuality it's plain ole poker straight. So yes *****s because Nakia gave me a great haircut and that was my purpose for going to Luna.

I often question if people can do my hair, I have long, thick, mixed hair. So obviously I saw a women of color what look like maybe she had hair similar to mine and said to myself, I should try it out. I also just so happen to like that she provides other services like makeup and eyebrow waxing as well. I called and Yvonne picked up. She is just lovely. I came in on my Saturday appointment and was sat down to feel out a client card. When I was done Georgina sat right next to me and went over my hair concerns and what I would like done. I did a wash, treatment, roller, trim and style for $85. My hair is basically near the bottom of my back. My hair was poofy and she dry cut it and it came out even. Now that is skill!!! When it came time for the hair dryer, I was offered coffee, tea, cookies and magazines. I felt that all the staff were attentive the whole time. Great service and great atmosphere. When all was done my hair was so soft. It's now going on day 4 and it feels so soft, smooth, full of bounce and so easy to manage. I have natural curly hair and for those who know, if you don't tame natural mixed girl hair while its wet, it will come out poofy, frizzy, and nappy. No more Dominican hair salon for me. Love Georgina's Hair Studio. She has an Instagram: ghs290. Make sure you come with cash tip. When you use a card, they just run it through and there is no option to add a tip after.

The only concern I had was she used products without keeping me informed, and I have had salons charge me extra for different processes/products without being aware. I was pleasantly surprised by my bill, though. I will definitely return and recommend!
