So I will start off with some history...I'm new to Charlotte and finding someone that knows hair color can be daunting; especially when you had someone amazing for many years. I initially found a local salon that I thought I was happy with but over time my brunette hair with blonde highlights turned extremely brassy. I became so unhappy with my hair, debated about going back, but was afraid to spend the money and end up with the same results. I started another long search of combing through Yelp and Google and somehow stumbled upon Danielle. I read through the reviews, scrolled through photos and decided to give her a try. I selected full balayage and a haircut. It was a risk because it is a big expense (and I have to live with the results) but I just had this feeling and was super excited. I was so lucky to find Danielle! She worked her magic on my brassy hair and gave me an awesome haircut! I came in with fairly long hair and while I was open to cutting off an inch or so, I thought I wanted to keep it long. After discussing my hair with Danielle, we agreed it would be best to cut a good amount off in order to get a new, healthy start and help correct the color. I won't lie, I was nervous as she started to cut my hair - a lot was falling off but I kept confidence in the process because we took the time to talk about what I liked and didn't like. Danielle really understands hair. She noticed the thickness and asked when the last time I had bulk taken out and if I wanted to do more...yes! My hair instantly felt lighter and fresher. She even used some techniques I've never seen before. Now on to the color...it came out amazing! It looks healthier and brighter and it's even better than I hoped it to be! The difference since going to Danielle! I had super fine, unhealthy hair that was broken so terribly I couldn't grow it out. I decided I'd get extensions to achieve the long hair look I wanted and found Danielle to do them. Not only did Danielle do an AMAZING job on the extensions, she was super nice and didn't "trash talk" my previous stylist or make comments about how awful my hair was, even though it was obvious I needed help!! when I moved to Charlotte a year ago part of me thought, well I'm home in Virginia a few times a year, so maybe I'll just go to see my stylist of 8+ years (yes) when I visit home. I heard about Danielle through a friend who went to her for her balayage. I made an appointment with Danielle on 3/2/2020 for a balayage/cut on 6/6/2020. I show up to the salon the morning of my appointment and she says she does not have me in the system as having an appointment that day. I show her my confirmation emails/texts on the day of booking and the week leading up to the appointment and she said that she does not use Style Seat as a booking service any longer (Style Seat is the booking tool both on her website and on Yelp). She then proceeds to blame the mixup on the fact that I booked the appointment far in advance. She refused to accommodate my schedule for a re-booking. I'm surprised anyone that unprofessional and unaccommodating can run a decent business. Will not be back. read more
