Nice intimate space with a few games and seating. I ordered the King Cake roll in honor of Mardi Gras. This roll is only there for a limited time. It was filled with cream cheese and topped with sugar sprinkles. Served nice and warm and literally melts in your mouth. I will say there was a bit too much cream cheese for my liking but I navigated around it. The roll is a decent sized and the fact that I nearly ate it all in one day lets you know how good it was.

It seems like they position their rolls more as a dessert, which isn't a dealbreaker. We came back later that afternoon after some meetings. The shop itself is simple and cute, with a wide variety of rolls to choose from. Honestly, it's hard not to want one of everything. We ended up ordering six, and I have to say, the rolls were delicious. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. We were greeted, but it felt cold and unwelcoming. After that, we were mostly ignored and ended up ordering through the touchscreen. There was a sign suggesting customers "ask about the secret menu," so I did. Instead of responding, she silently placed a paper on the counter and moved on. The interaction felt dismissive, like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. It's disappointing because the rolls really were great, but the service left a bad impression. They really live up to the name CRANKY granny's! As much as we enjoyed the food, the overall experience makes it hard to justify coming back.

The day Summer Moon stopped carrying their cookies was the day my happiness started slowly going down hill until I realized you can order them directly yourself! This was game changer. The thing that makes their chocolate chip cookie unique is that it has a big piece of chocolate in it as well as other small chocolate chips in it. It's hard on the outside yet smooth and moist in the inside. Everything about it is pure perfection.

The cookies were delivered the same day, and the driver even called to let me know that he'd hit traffic and would be 5-10 minutes outside the delivery window. I wish companies like the cable company could be that conscientious! The cookies came in two nice, sturdy kraft brown boxes, and were tied with yarn bows and tags, so they'd make a great delivery to a client or as a gift. CookieCrowd also ships via Priority Mail (we did local delivery). The cookies: HOLY CATS. They are big. They are perfectly soft with a bit of a crispy exterior, just PERFECT. The flavors were fantastic. Carlos was a wicked dark chocolate espresso - not too sweet. Chip was the classic chocolate chip - better by far than the local competitor (who I will not name, you know who I mean). The only way these could be better, in my mind, would be a light dusting of sea salt. Patty - white chocolate and peppermint - was profoundly delicious - better than I could have expected!! And Scout? Oh Scout, how I love you. A S'more cookie with a perfectly toasted marshmallow on top, Scout made me want to weep with joy. As an office treat, these were a HUGE hit! I can't recommend this local business enough!

I rarely make it to Round Rock, but after my first visit to Waffle Love, I'll definitely be back…read more A friend brought me here for breakfast, and we decided to share a waffle flight so we could try a variety of items. We ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup, chicken and waffles, and the strawberry and cream waffle with Biscoff spread. Before I get to the food, I want to recognize the excellent customer service. Since it was my first visit, I had quite a few questions. The employee helping us was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. She walked us through all of the flight options, and let us know that everything was made fresh to order, so there would be a short wait. I appreciated the transparency, and when our food arrived I soon found out it was worth the wait. The standout for me was the grilled cheese waffle with tomato soup. The soup tasted homemade, with bright tomato flavor and generous chunks of tomato throughout. It was fresh, and absolutely delicious. The grilled cheese featured a flavorful muenster and provolone instead of the standard cheddar you find everywhere else, and the waffle itself was crispy on the outside with a perfect gooey cheese pull. My friend enjoyed the strawberry and cream waffle with Biscoff spread since I'm not a huge fan of Biscoff. I did try the strawberries and cream, though, and both were excellent. The strawberries were fresh, sweet, and firm, while the cream tasted rich and homemade. The chicken and waffles were outstanding. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and well seasoned, and the waffle had a wonderful texture: light and airy inside with a crisp exterior. It was served with syrup and a remoulade-style sauce. The restaurant is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully decorated with fun murals, word art and nods to Round Rock. For a first visit, Waffle Love made a fantastic impression. The next time I'm in Round Rock, I'll be ordering another waffle flight, probably the same 3 selections, just without the Biscoff spread.

I am a huge fan of the waffle bowls and they have several to choose from. My faves are the chicken and waffle bowl and the banana/Nutella waffle bowl. My boyfriend really likes the sausage sandwich (eggs, cheese, sausage, and syrup between two waffles) and the banana cream pie (waffle is stuffed with chocolate and topped with scratch made topping and bananas). So much goodness. My favorite sweet though has to be the Biscoff waffle. Literally one of the greatest things ever. Great brekkie and lunch spot.

I love the green soft chairs, the tables, and the chef statue greeting you as you pull in front of the building. He's right there in the window. The bistro honestly takes your breath away. I love it! So in the last two weeks, I've been back exactly four times. My first introduction was the Croissant Scramble with chicken and veggies inside, with the Arnold Palmer. My friend got the Croissant Scramble with brisket. The presentation of the croissants when brought to the table blew me away. It was wrapped up in the cutest paper with the ends twisted. The topic of conversation was how good the croissants were. Before we left, we ordered some delicious cookies. The chocolate chips were yummy. So I went the following day and grabbed some pastries! One in particular was the Pecan Bar. The following week, another friend and I stopped in for the Chicken Pesto Omelet. I like that the fire-roasted bell peppers and onions are cooked, if that's the right word. But l have to tell you, the Mexican Hot Chocolate drink brings on the flavor, as does the ice-cold Mocha. Of course, we got the Pecan Bar for dessert. So yes, I went back yesterday for the Almond Croissant. I know, I know!

When I arrived, I was told the cake wasn't ready and was asked if I could come back the next morning--which obviously didn't work given the timing of the event. As a substitute, they offered me a pre-made cake from their display case and assured me it was chocolate like I originally ordered, just with a chocolate mousse filling. They refunded me $15 to account for the difference, and I felt pressured to accept since I needed something for the dinner that night. Unfortunately, the situation got worse from there. When we cut into the cake, it turned out to be confetti--not chocolate. Then, when we tried to eat it, it was clearly stale, dry, and inedible. No one touched it after the first bites. It completely missed the mark for what was supposed to be a special moment. What's especially frustrating is that I ordered from them last year for the same occasion, and everything went perfectly--that's why I trusted them again. This time, however, it was a complete letdown from start to finish. When I called the next day to request a refund, I asked to speak with a manager but was told that wasn't possible. Instead, I was told I would only be offered a partial refund because I accepted the replacement cake. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and quality here was really disappointing--especially for something as important as a birthday celebration.

Went to Unicornverse Bakery & Cafe after reading reviews saying the customer service wasn't great,…read moreso I was honestly a little reluctant at first. But I'm really glad I still gave it a chance because my experience was the complete opposite. The service was warm and welcoming, and everything we got both looked and tasted amazing. I had the veggie omelet with mushrooms and spinach, plus an ube muffin and a chai macaron -- and the fact that everything was fully plant-based made it even better. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, and overall it ended up being such a pleasant experience. Definitely glad I didn't let the reviews stop me from trying it for myself.

We were exited to take my niece to the 'unicorn place' and support a plant based shop. It was super cute and she was excited about the decor and unicorns. Came a little after 9am on a Friday, it was maybe half full, but it took about 40 minutes to get two lemon tofu toasts. I was patient until my niece was getting antsy, she finished her pastry, we both finished our mediocre coffees, still no toast... I checked and the Apple Pay time stamp went through more than 30 minutes prior. I asked staff if our toast was still coming and they replied rudely like I was being a jerk to even ask. Pagers for food when they went off were obnoxious beeping. Just give people a table number and carry it out to them. Maybe they have one little toaster and person in the back? That said once the food came, the tofu was DELICIOUS, and a large portion. We could have split it. Croissant was unimpressive as was their chocolate croissant. Macarons were tasty, but not with the signature chew that ones made with egg whites would have. $$ Two plain lattes, two lemon toasts, a chocolate croissant and 6 macarons with a $5 tip was $88. Pretty ridiculous, and I am used to California, Bay Area prices.
