We also tried their Tuesday Combo Deal: Chicken Wrap with Pops for $6.99 which is a great deal and the wrap was tasty. Hello fellow foodies today I bring you an outstanding review for this Afghani restaurant…read more Today driving down Queen St. Brampton 7/19/2022 I was reminiscing about an Afghan restaurant I would frequent when I was working in Scarborough, and thinking how amazing food there really was!!  So I had to get me some Afghani food today! And ladies and gents was I ever glad I stopped into this place to grab some takeout today. After reading some really great reviews on Royal Kabob Afghan Cuisine I had to drop in and grab some of their authentic Afghani cuisine. They sit on the backside of a not-so-visible plaza close to the downtown part of Brampton just on the north side of Queen St. With plenty of parking. They have a large eat-in dining area with plenty of seating. They do dining-in and takeout. They claim to be very authentic. Their menu is quite authentic from what I saw loaded will many options, different rice plate combos, salads, curries, and even a lamb shank dish. Food 5/5 The "The Sultan Kabob Platter" was my choice and it was just phenomenal, just absolute fire! Very Afghani authentic, everything freshly made to order, not the typical dried-out kabobs sitting around all day and stuck on a plate. I mean this dish tasted fresh, not reheated. One Kabob was chunks of juicy perfectly seasoned super tenderloin meat, the other was also very well-seasoned minced meat super tender and juicy. With the two kabobs came a very generous portion of rice, Afghani bread and salad along with two amazing dipping sauces. The basmati rice was delightful and very flavorful you could really taste the cardamom and cinnamon with hints of cumin and garlic in It. The salad was fresh with cucumbers tomatoes red onions and lettuce. The Afghani bread is always a joy to eat and from this place, it was no exception again very fresh. I have to say that the two sauces really stood out to me and were possibly the stars of this dish, The red tomato-based chutney was divine it was almost like a watered-down salsa with more of a lemon flavor and a hint of spice just the perfect dipping sauce for the meat, The white yogurt based chutney was so refreshing with strong hints of lime and possibly mint and cilantro again perfect dipping sauce for the kabobs. The platter itself was a decent  generous-sized portion for one person but it was so good I probably would have fished two portions of it. It had a wonderful balance of flavor proteins and carbs. Great dish! Service 5/5 the food was made fast, the service was very friendly and the price was within reason for this quality of food. The presentation was also very nice. Guys and gals if you're in the area and you want the best Afghani food Brampton has to offer this is one of the places you must stop in to try.

It is located in a fairly busy plaza not in terms of traffic but it has many good eateries. I got some mutton rolls, they were fresh and delicious not overly spicy. The roll was full of flavor. Priced just right. I also tried their dried fish in masala now sure what it is called but it was absolutely divine. These are these tiny dried fishes made with their local spices and peanuts my god. I took it home and devoured it will daal/lentil and rice. I was traveling soon so didn't get other stuff but next time I'm there I'm definitely trying a bit of everything. Fabulous customer service, the lady and the gentleman behind the counter were so friendly and helpful. If they are the owners you guys are running a fab show I'm sure you know it. I love supporting small businesses and this one is definitely a 5 star. Super clean too. Lots of parking outsides. If you are wondering the location it is by Armeens and Masraways kitchen.

Reasons for withholding one star (although I would have preferred to actually give it 3.5 stars): The kababs had a fair amount of fillers, and the composition was more like that of shammi kabab, rather than sheekh kabab, but to some extent the filler issue is resolved by the attractive price point. Well, this is the place to go and while they're well known for their BBQ (or so I've heard), majority of their menu is spicy. However, I was excited to find that some items, such as the chicken tikka and malai boti are mild/not too spicy so I often for those. I didn't try any of the meat items, since I don't really eat meat, but everything I've ordered from their chicken was amazing! I loved the malai boti, chicken malai leg and the chicken tikka. We ordered some karachi paratha on the side and decided to make our own paratha roll at home with the chicken and it turned out very very good. I would come back here in the future should I need or crave good chicken and BBQ. The seasoning and spices used were great. Their tea was also pretty good and portion was quite generous. I gave a 4/5 as I also tried their peshawari ice cream, but was not a fan of it. The ice cream used was not creamy enough and it was topped with rooh afza, making it a little sweeter and the ice cream was also quite small considering it was $5. Stick to what they're known for and that is their kababs and BBQ. Don't forget to grab some tea as well. Forgot to grab a pic of our order.
