I opted to get a firm "standard" support backing to pair with my "lovesoft" seating. In my personal opinion so far, I would sink in a little too much with full lovesoft cushioning throughout the entire couch (seat and backing). The customer support that I received from the exemplary Lovesac team members like has been truly exceptional. Anthony especially has exceeded my expectations in every possible way. Anthony was fully transparent in the communication process from start to finish, attentive and thorough. Anthony created a very enjoyable customer service experience with all of the attention to detail, explanations of the configurations for the couch and understanding my various questions and concerns along with changing some of the items throughout my purchase. This store has truly created a welcoming environment with great associates. Anthony has been a perfect example of what a great customer service experience is! Highly recommend considering placing Anthony into a high level management position, communication has been a huge help. When I called to get further assistance if Anthony was unavailable Coco too stepped up to help me, great job and amazing team! The value of the product aligns with the price, the texture of the material I ordered combed chenille is supple and soft. I would highly recommend this store for all friends and family along with future purchasing for myself.

So, I've been on the hunt for a wooden table that I can refinish. I have a very specific place for…read moreit, but like Lebowski's rug, it's going to be one of those mythical pieces the "ties the room together." With that established, I'm not entirely certain what type or style of table I seek. Height's Common Market is chock-a-block full of furniture. It runs the gamut. Chairs, couches, lamps, beds, and yes tables of all varieties. All relatively inexpensive, but some pieces run a little pricey. From the exterior, it looks like an old flea market. The kind with rows of stalls, sawdust floors, and cantankerously old stall-minders. A place where you are convinced you'll find that mint condition, limited release record or the long lost pocket watch from The Gift of the Magi. Instead of finding that magical item, you go through each stall only to find ugly ceramic figurines of unicorns or dolphins. Thankfully, inside The Common Market, it's quite different. Lots of quality and a few "magically perfect" finds here. If looking for used furniture, this should definitely be one of your stops. The main room is a huge warehouse packed to the gills with furniture. Along one side there are a few rooms (watch your step up) with lamps, chairs, or a work room/repair shop. I never found the table I sought, however I'm closer on my path. I may venture back in a few weeks and find what I seek.

Be ready to rummage... and to find a lot of cool stuff…read more BEST PLACE to go for GLASS TABLE TOPS-- a glass merchant would charge 10 times what Mr. A charges for the same piece. Every size, shape and thickness imaginable... but you can always have the piece re-sized for your needs. HCM always has, what looks to me, a lot of matching furniture that comes from closing businesses. (Think bank or hotel lobby.) So the durability and quality is there, but sometimes the look is... well, not. As for the non-business-looking stuff... most of it is awesome. You'll find ready to use furnishings as well as unique fixer-uppers. You can find bolts of fabric, both attractive and hideous, with which you can recover the lobby chairs! HCM is also a great place to find lamps and lamp shades, perfect for revamping according to your latest issue of DIY magazine. Word of advice: The more stuff you buy, Mr. A is more likely to cut you a great deal. Nothing is priced, so you'll have to ask the cost of anything you're interested in. Do NOT pay the first price he says. Find something else you like - 2 or 3 things, even if they're tiny knick knacks- and make an offer below his quote including both the little stuff & whatever he priced. If its reasonable, he's very likely to accept. HAPPY HUNTING!

POST Houston - Gorgeous. I did touch until I saw the sign don't touch. Nice details for sure.. I imagined so many different bracelets and necklaces .

This one lands squarely in "great idea, uneven execution." I've been to POST Houston plenty of…read moretimes and usually walk away satisfied. I even visited the rooftop during Christmas last year and loved it--so when I saw the NYE rooftop party advertised, I was all in. Rooftop. Fireworks. DJ. Countdown. Say less. Let's start with the highlight, because it deserves its flowers The fireworks show was SPECTACULAR. Easily one of the best displays I've seen in years. Thoughtfully choreographed, perfectly timed, and that finale? Chef's kiss. Truly the star of the night. Now... the party itself? Eh. We paid $150 for two tickets, plus nearly $50 for parking, and honestly, the experience didn't feel elevated enough to justify the price. Outside of a DJ and a big countdown clock, there wasn't much that differentiated the event from a regular rooftop visit. What really threw me off was realizing the rooftop wasn't a private event--it was still open to casual guests. That meant a lot of kids, which... look, I'm glad they enjoyed the fireworks, but at that price point I fully expected an adults-only experience. Another letdown: the decor and lighting were unchanged from 2024. No NYE glow-up, no special touches--same setup, different calendar year. Meanwhile, the food hall downstairs was buzzing and honestly looked like it was having more fun than the rooftop crowd. Would I come back to POST Houston? Absolutely. Would I do the NYE rooftop party again at that price? Not a chance. Next year, I'll happily watch those incredible fireworks--from somewhere that doesn't charge premium prices for a regular night with a clock slapped on it.
