They were soft and full of cream cheese. The customer service was quick, efficient and so welcoming even just for a to go order. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

The service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left was great as well. I cleaned up the mess myself and asked if they could please make her a new one. An older lady worker said "we can do it this time", not friendly at all with no smile. I thought that very pretty rude of her. Every other worker seemed really nice and assisted the customers with smiles. I think this particular worker needs to smile more and be more polite to her customers. Why wouldn't she say with a smile, I'm so sorry your daughters latte spilled I would be more than happy to make her a new one. Not a good experience!

We were greeted warmly by the host, but unfortunately that's where everything went horribly wrong. Hubby wanted a pork roll egg and cheese sandwich on a plain bagel. Unfortunately at 9:45 am there was no plain bagel for sale! How do you run out of bagels if you're a bagel store early in the morning?? Second choice was a poppyseed bagel - but he ended up scraping off the poppyseeds as best he could. I ordered an egg and cheese on an everything bagel, which was fresh. We also ordered coffees, but after discovering that no milk, either regular, low fat, or nonfat available - only the creamers that are prepackaged and not refrigerated or a French Vanilla creamer that has a high sugar content. When I asked about almond milk, I was informed it was an extra charge of 65 cents (in addition to the $2.65 for the coffee). Unless it's Starbucks coffee, I'm not sure it's worth it, so I asked for a refund, which was NOT refunded without "permission" from the cook. Even though the bagels seemed fresh, there's another bagel store that I will go to in the future.

This also have bagel dogs, other breakfast/lunch sandwiches, coffee and their giant muffins are so delicious (esp warmed up)! This cozy little shop is located in Carrollwood Village... a huge housing development, that somehow-innearly 36 years of living here-I had never been to until now. But missing a turn, led to some exploring and then, some bageling! New York Bagel and Bean is in a plaza at the corner of South Village and West Village. The joint was jumping when I was there at 11am on a Wednesday. It was difficult to find a parking spot, but so worth it. The shop is very homey and welcoming-with several tables and homespun decor. The owner (or manager) was very friendly and helpful. I felt truly appreciated. I felt bad I was only ordering one bagel. It was big and the perfect texture. And then... came the honey butter. Honey butter, people! It's happening! This was not a drill! It was delicious! Decadent, yes-but the perfect accompaniment. I may be in love! Should I move to Carrollwood Village just to be closer? My egg, cheese, bacon and avocado on an Asiago bagel sandwich was amazing. I'll definitely be stopping in on my way to work from time to time to get their fresh bagels!
