I wish it had more of the hazelnut flavors coming through, but it was still good. My son was quiet and devoured whichever flavor he had. I had a cup of Kimbo espresso with a side of sparkling water. Kimbo isn't my favorite brand, but the espresso was a great side companion to my gelato. Suddenly, Bristol Borough has one heck of an ice cream scene. On top of the shop being incredibly beautiful, if you have little ones they have a play ice cream set and dinosaurs in the store to entertain them while you sip your coffee or enjoy a treat. I've never had a savory babka & I'd been eyeing it up the past few weeks and boy am I glad I made the purchase. The vibe inside is cozy & rustic. Warmth radiates from the oven(s) & also the decor. First, this is a gourmet food market and not a restaurant. Nevertheless, there are about six tables in the front where you can sit protected from the elements. Ambience earns about a score of just 2 ........... if that sort of thing is important to you. Both Reuben sandwiches were tasty, but the pastrami version earned higher marks, likely because the meat is seasoned. The corn beef sandwich was a bit moist from either a fault in preparation or the sauerkraut. Still, it was not too shabby at all. The breads were toasted perfectly. The meat was shaved into very thin slices and was particularly delicious. Other restaurants provide thicker slices. It's a matter for personal preference. The food earns a 4 score. The price earned the highest score of 5 at just $9.95! A couple of other diners noticed (did not complain) that the sandwiches have shrunken over time but, at our age, that is not a problem! The volume was plenty fine. Overall the restauarant deserves a solid 4 pastrami reuben and a 3.5 on the corned beef version. The Reuben cousin is a Rachel (using cole slaw instead of saurkraut). Sometimes at other places you get the baby cocktail shrimp, but these were a good size and nicely grilled and seasoned. You get a nice amount of sides to make your fajitas. There was so much food that we asked for extra shells at no additional cost! We thought we put a dent in the food, but we had so much still to take home. Everything was so fresh and seasoned well. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. They offered some samples of items and were a great conversation. They offer gift boxes, cheese boards and catering. Their website states they offer classes and private events. I ended up with a jar of Noccioliva - Hazelnuts and cocoa join together with extra virgin olive oil in this silken chocolate cream $18 and change (delicious, puts our US version of Nutella to shame), French black cherry jam from La Maison du Piment - made with only rare cerises noires (black cherries) harvested near the village of Itxassou in the French Basque Country, cane sugar, lemon juice and pectin and local wildflower strawberry honey from A-Frame Apiary in Boyertown. If I didn't stuff myself at Itri across the street I would have bought some cheeses and a sandwich, but I'll remember that for my next venture to Bristol Borough!
