Love this place! Best Colombian food in the Philly area. Their arepas are incredible. The staff is friendly and made arepas for us after we stopped in later in the afternoon when they ran out. This is well worth the visit when you're in the mood for Colombian or Spanish food. read more

This bakery was like a breath of fresh air. Lately all the newer ones I've been to seem to be going French. Not that I'm opposed to that necessarily, but it seems to double the cost of most items, without improving on the quality of other local options. This is a Colombian baker who enjoys his craft, and seems to want to showcase his countries's specialties, as well as staple and unique American bakery items. The first thing I noticed on walking in was said baker kneading and shaping dough through the glass wall. The second thing was a double hello from the 2 women working the front of the shop, a nice touch. But I needed time.... The first case seems to be mostly savory items, small Stromboli like things with various fillings but also large loaves of a cheese bread that still taunts me for not getting. The first case to the right had French type items if I recall. Again, I was remiss in not selecting a filled croissant, but I did snag a guava turnover that was still tasty a day after. The other 2 cases contained various tempting desserts ranging from fruit pies to individual red velvet cakes. With too many options and being hungry already I focused on 4 items, I regret not getting a few more things. I tried a Gluten free round bread, it was ok and the only thing I wouldn't get again. The chorizo and pepper Jack filled Stromboli thing(if you know a better word please let me know, the young woman at shop did not) was good and I'd try other flavors or this one again. The dough was brioche like almost, sweetish and buttery. The filling was just enough so as not to make it soggy. I had a chocolate mousse mouse from the dessert case, they were all lined up and I couldn't resist. Sadly the tail was damaged in transit. It consisted of 2 layers of a dark and moist chocolate cake, with a mouse sized plus amount of mousse then drenched in a light layer of dark chocolate, it was very good. If I had to give one demerit it would be that no items had prices on them. But to be honest in this shop that did not seem daunting, everything was very reasonable. Even though this is 20 minutes away or more, I'll be coming back, hope that loaf of 5 cheese bread is still there...... read more

As soon as I pulled up I could see 10 other customers waiting in a queue through the window。 Such a sweet and lovely scent upon entering!! I was greeted so warmly! The staff shared that this bakery is a sweet 2 year dream project in the making for Mr & Mrs Valencia。 This couple , along with team, Knead dough, bake all kinds of Colombian baked goods and sell ' em from seven in the morning until 7 PM every day. You can even watch them making the bread the big picture window 。Watch the bakers creating their masterpieces. Rolling out the dough , twisting and twirling 。。。and then baking ! Some breads are sweet & some are savory! They had chocolate swirl bread , melon bread, cheese filled croissants。 Cinnamon bread! I bought some of the melon looking buns and some cheese croissants。 The melon ones room delicately sweet. I really liked it and it goes perfect with cup of coffee/tea。 In Japan they have something that looks and tastes just like this called melon pan メロンパン。 ( ‿ ) I look forward to coming back, (1)because I felt so welcome & (2) because the two items I tried were really delicious. Wow, we found randomly on Yelp searching for a local place to order some empanadas. Adorable bakery with super friendly service & good prices on all kinds of sweet & savory offerings. Empanadas were delish (beef) & authentic. Bought a hunk of bread pudding which was out-of-this world. Also bought a pepperoni & cheese brrad and slice of lemon cake. They have something called Grandma's Bread with 3 different cheeses & looks unbelievably delish so already making a plan to return. We love supporting local businesses & this is clearly a hard-working family business that deserves you to at least stop in once so they can share their pride in their passion with you. Clean inside. Nice selection of sweets. Service was fast and pleasant. We had a lemon cake and a strawberry cake. Honestly, the lemon was really good. It was moist and infused with flavor. The strawberry on the other hand was flavorless and bland. We purchased tiramisu as a gift for friends. They enjoyed theirs. Would we return? Probably not. read more

Everything from this bakery is phenomenal! My husband wanted to order an "authentic" tres leches cake, and I'm so glad we discovered Bakery Bethlehem, because the tres leches cake with dulce de leche filling was honestly the best cake we've ever had (not to mention, beautifully decorated and affordable)! Our party guests were all raving about how amazing it was. And all the pastries and breads we tried were fantastic and far better than any other bakery we've had. read more

What a unexpected surprise! Found this cute little Columbian bakery nestled in a corner of a small strip plaza one morning. It had a warm pleasant atmosphere. The display counters were well light, and held an intriguing selection of products! I had a hard time deciding! The woman behind the counter was a sweetheart and patient. I choose a couple of small personal loaves of pepperoni and mozzarella bread. I found the bread to be very light with a subtle sweetness. The filling itself was just enough for flavor rather than overwhelming. I couldn't resist when she asked me if I'd like some warm beef empanadas or chicken filled pastries as well. That was a no brainer too! I got a couple of both and had them for lunch! The shredded chicken was in a fluffy flake pastry with great seasoning. Hint of spice but barely. I loved the chewy crispness of the corn and beef empanadas. The green dipping sauce that she gave me didn't last either! I'm glad I grabbed a slice of choc layer cake. We had that later after dinner. I always enjoy finding places where I can get just a slice of something and they had a few options. The choc cake was very moist with whipped choc mousse/cream layers. Id say it would have been helpful to display prices, but in all honesty, it was about $16 for all I got so I can't really complain. All in all, I'll definitely poke my head in again when I'm in the area. There were a few more things there that caught my eye! Enjoy! read more
