2 Buttermilk Pancakes

I have not eaten at Bakers Square in at least 8 years, and I use to love this restaurant. However, my cousin and I came here for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised! Since I had not been to the restaurant in so long, I did not have many expectations, but everything was so good. I ordered the Create your own Omelette with sausage and lite cheese, pancakes and French fries. My omelette was cooked to perfection; however, there was still a little too much cheese, but it was still good. The fries were so good, but I was disappointed because I remember the fries being steaked, but these were crinkle fries. Lastly the pancakes were so good with the warm syrup. Also, the prices are definitely reasonable. Our server was really attentive and the service was fast. Fast service and good food! My cousin and I came here on a Saturday for brunch and it was a somewhat crowded, but they got people seated, and the restaurant was actually clean. As soon as a table was done, someone was cleaning it immediately. I definitely want to go back to Bakers Square soon!

Out and about getting our running around accomplished, we came across Bakers Square!!!! We haven't dined here in years. The atmosphere walking in the door felt we just walked right up in Grandma's house! Our server Amber was friendly, her smile comforting, and her Southern accent was further reminiscent of being in Grandma's kitchen. I ordered the Fish n Chips minus the chips, but with a side of Green Beans that were actually delicious!!! I had a side salad with their house made Ranch dressing which was by -the-way on point. The hubby had pot roast and gravy with veggies and mushrooms and a side of Broccoli and Garlic Toast, he said the meat was tender and the gravy was just right. He actually snapped a pic and sent it to our daughter to prove he actually had veggies on his plate. The food was reasonably priced, and served piping hot. No additional seasonings were needed. Of course you cannot come to Bakers Square and leave without at least a slice of Pie!!! I chose Key Lime, the Hubby had the famous French Silk. Getting a slice of Their Pie is like being rewarded for good behavior, or being on the Honor Roll... you just feel like I must have done something fantastic to get this treat! So glad we came here, we will return!

Ya know, it's a Baker's Square. The coffee tastes reheated, nothing has much flavor, the decor is tasteful 1975, the waitress is exhausted, but the pie is solid.

What a pleasant surprise! I haven't been to a Baker's Square in years. I used to purchase pies but very seldom ate at one. Frankly, I wasn't a fan of the food; however, this changed today. We stopped here for breakfast. I ordered a make your own omelette with avocado, pepper Jack cheese, tomatoes and onions. The portion size was perfect and the omelette was delicious! I ate a pancake and some of my hash browns. The potatoes were a bit too crispy for my taste but the coffee was quite good. Overall, the meal was delicious! The prices are good, too. Lynette, our server, and Brittany, our hostess, were friendly and welcoming. Their hospitality, the good food, and outstanding service are reasons I plan to return.

I used to frequent the bakery in CA. Years ago...I ordered the breakfast 4 for $9.99. I chose 2 eggs sunny side up,2 Turkey sausage, hashbrowns and 2 slices of French toast. It came relatively quick hot and tasty. What impressed me was the hot syrup for the toast. The carafe of coffee didn't help either... Great experience for $9.99.... no pie this time.

Upon entering the restaurant the server was very pleasant and let me choose where I wanted to set. As I sat there I checked out the setting and the Salt & Pepper Shakers and they were filthy, the menus needed to be cleaned, but everything else was great. My order came within 15 minutes and it was so good. Full of flavor, pleasant to the eyes and large portion sizes. I had coffee and it was a bit bitter to me so I had to doctor it up. All in all a good cleaning of items used between customers would be a great additive and cleaning of the menu's would make for a healthier environment.

First time I had eaten here. Food was good. The bakery items were delicious and I had to get a " to go" order.

As always, the restaurant was clean and well maintained. We were seated in the coffee shop area, which was about half full. Our server greeted us immediately with a warm smile and welcoming personality. She promptly took our drink orders and returned shortly after to take our meal selections. We started with an order of chicken livers. There was a bit of confusion because on a previous visit I had ordered a half portion of the appetizer. I asked for that again, but the server seemed unsure. When the bill arrived, we were charged the full $16 appetizer price. After checking with the manager, she informed us that half portions are no longer offered. Had that been clearly explained upfront, I likely would not have ordered them. That said, the livers were outstanding -- possibly the best I've ever had. I requested the onions well done, and they came out perfect. The livers were tender, buttery, and beautifully seasoned. Honestly, they were hearty enough to be a meal on their own. My wife ordered the boned breaded perch lunch portion. We've had it several times before and it has always been excellent. The light breading allows the tender, flaky perch to shine. One small disappointment: there is now a $2 charge (noted on the menu) for melted butter to accompany the perch. I ordered the breaded frog legs, which we've also enjoyed in the past. They were delicious again. The same $2 charge applies if you want melted butter with the frog legs. Lunch portions include a side -- mashed potatoes with gravy, the daily vegetable (green beans), and a choice of four slices of marinated beets or coleslaw. Unfortunately, the green beans were served at room temperature. Aside from the misunderstanding regarding the appetizer portion, the service was excellent. We will definitely be back.

We had the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and then the perch and fried shrimp for dinner. The food was good but was nothing spectacular.
