I stood in the queue with a pound in my pocket every Friday in here, when we were allowed to go to the Baker's for our lunch from Primary School.
I have gone back since then, and the place has not changed one bit.
I recall it not being the cleanest of establishments, but every Friday I would buy my tuna bap and french fancy with a can of Irn Bru and be on my way. It never dissapointed me then, and it doesn't dissapoint me now.
This baker sells cakes from Christie's, which I have reviewed before, and raved about, because the cakes are simply out of this world. Good, high calorie, sticky, stodgy things that your granny used to make, the kind of cakes you sit down with a cup of tea to savour, and that stick in your memory (and on your waistband) for a long time afterwards.
Like I said, it isn't the cleanest, or the most modern place, but it delivers delicious cakes and sausage rolls for a very reasonable price which is all you can ask for really. read more
