A+ top notch experience. Hosting a group of 12 hungry guys, John and his team were able to put together an order just a week in advance for us to pick up. The order set up, invoicing and pick up was a piece of cake. But how about the BBQ itself? AMAZING. We hands down crushed the entire order of brisket, pulled pork, ribs, sausage and a mere 7 quarts of sides. Everything was delicious and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. If you have leftovers, fear not, the brisket is perfect for breakfast tacos the next day! If you are looking for amazing BBQ and a completely reasonable price, Baker's Brisket is the spot to go. Thanks again to the whole team for putting this together! read more

We wanted to support local but they truly disappointed us. Got the half chicken and was pink inside NO THANKS The brisket sandwich was cold like room temp cold, NO THANKS. I was soo disappointed that i didn't even take pictures. read more

Love love the turkey here. They sell out quickly though. Always great and friendly service.

Awesome ribs and pulled pork! Tender well-seasoned ribs right off the bones, and the kinda tangy bbq sauce, that goes soooo well with these beautifully smoked meats... We wanted to try turkey and brisket, but didn't have enough time or space... maybe next time. read more

Baker's Brisket - a tray of meat and coleslaw - Food Trucks Near Me - Lago Vista, Texas

Honestly, I am not trying to be rude but this has to be the worst thing I've ever eaten. The Mac n cheese tasted like water, the chicken was pink and the skin was so rubbery you couldn't bite it, the beans had no flavor, and the street corn tasted old. I came from Florida to visit my sister and spent almost 50 dollars on this food. Really wanted to ask for a refund. It was extremely inedible. read more

Was craving some BBQ after a day on the lake and noticed Baker's Brisket, so decided to stop and give it a chance and I am glad that I did! The staff was super friendly and all the food was excellent. We got a sliced brisket sandwich, sausage, street corn and potato salad and nothing disappointed at all. This is a legit BBQ trailer serving up some delicious food. Their potato salad is one of the best that I've had in some time. I definitely look forward to going back to get some more very soon! read more

John Baker and his son Alec have done very well at the Lohman Ford Food trailer (across from Hillside Texaco) He tries to be open Thurs-Sat but is not always open and will close when he runs out, typically by 5pm. BBQ is great at this location. They sell by the pound, half pound or sandwiches and sides. (see pics for typical menu) There are a few picnic tables by the trailer if you want to eat there. No restrooms. Very good and tender BBQ. John is so popular that he is also taking over concessions at the Lago Golf Course 4616 Rimrock Dr. He intends to have burgers and other items but still just getting started. Again not sure about hours since he has been closing early there too. The name at that location will be Baker's Bar and Grill. Will set up a page when we get more information. Check facebook or call to see what is available. read more

Baker's Brisket - Food Trailer on Lohman Ford - Food Trucks Near Me - Lago Vista, Texas

Don't order from yelp because they partnered with grub hub and are not accepting online orders. Brisket was good buying was weird. Said he didn't like yelp and that they blackmail you. Charged online and at store because they signed up for an account but then stopped moving forward. read more

The BBQ is wonderful! Nice and moist! I love the rosemary seasoning. Very delicious. Marley loves it, too! read more

I haven't been out to Lago Vista in a long time but happened to be out there. I looked up BBQ on google maps and this food truck was the closest. I am so glad I went there! This is a Texas family owned place and so good! Thank you Alec for being so nice and your recommendations! I got the 3 meat plate and loved the moist brisket, sausage and street corn were all so flavorful! Great location and worth the stop! I don't like spicy food and they gave me the options that weren't spicy. Yes a true Texan that can't handle spice. . Enjoy! I will be back soon as the weather cools down! read more

It's hit or miss. I'm a brisket lover. I always ask for lean brisket. Sometimes it still has too much fat. Other times it's been too dry and way too salty (not good if you suffer high blood pressure). Sometimes it is PERFECT! Give it a try. read more

Bakers brisket is awesome BBQ. I've eaten here many times because it's local but I'm also a big fan of BBQ and they stand shoulder to shoulder with the best I've had. The service is great, it's a food trailer so not really something you might expect, but they are always friendly and helpful. The trailer itself has great character with something you wouldn't expect. Stickers promoting other BBQ joints, very classy. A true Texas treasure and we're lucky to have it in our hometown. read more

At first I was a little hesitant about trying this place out. I thought "another brisket food truck? No thanks." Boy was I wrong. I'm glad I decided to come here. The brisket was great, turkey was moist and tender, street corn was excellent, potato salad was awesome, and so much more. I was very thrilled with not only the taste, but the quantity you get as well. We got 2 of there plates, and fed 4 people with them. Was a very nice surprise and will be returning next time we come through. read more

They're a shot in the dark. Inconsistent quality. Can be ok but can be questionable. I believe the food is safe.

Great food and service! Our favorite BBQ hands down! The street corn is amazing & Chopped Beef Sandwich too!

So it was the day before the TX deep freeze and I had only lived in TX for 1 week. I'm a bbq hound and was psyched to see the truck open. The owner had a small line and he was only selling FULL BRISKETS since he had them made and needed to get home due to the impending snow. $100 for about 10-12 lbs wrapped in paper, foil and placed in a pan. The customers in the line informed me that this was an opportunity I should not pass up. We divided it in 3 and have had several unbelievable feasts. We're going back when this is done. read more

Best damn brisket I've had in a while. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and the owner is a great guy. They cook the daily menu right on the premises but he cooks the brisket offsite as he said it cooks for 16 hours. Great trailer court in Lago Vista! read more

For the formidable task of preparing and packaging take out food in a food trailer, John has it down pat, He consistently produces some of the best smoked brisket I have ever eaten, and that has been a lot of brisket. His briskets are consistent in tenderness, flavor, moistness and appearance of the highest quality. He does sell out of some of his offerings early, so don't go there late in the day and expect a full menu. I highly recommend you look him up if you are in Lago, but check his hours so you won't be disappointed if he is not open. read more

This place is awesome! It's worth the stop. The service , food and price is great! The brisket was delicious and don't forget the frito pie

The toasted bun on the chopped beef sandwich is perfection. Bakers brisket wins hands down.

Delicious brisket, sausage, and ribs! They sell out fast so plan accordingly! Highly recommend this place

I can't include a picture because we scarfed it down too fast! The turkey was DELICIOUS and juicy!!! The sausage was also great (the jalapeño was too spicy for me, but John-the owner did warn me, but the other was yummy!) My husband had the large shredded pork sandwich (we did add a bit of BBQ sauce to it and the pickles and onion), which he said was VERY good! I did get an extra small tub of BBQ sauce which was delish!!! My husband is HARD to please and he REALLY enjoyed it! read more

Finally got to try this place out! Had brisket, pork ribs, and sausage. The brisket was balanced, great smoke ring and smoke flavor, and the seasoning was spot on. The ribs were also flavorful with a great bark on them. They fell apart in the best sense of the phrase. A little too sweet for me but that's a preference, not a critique. The sausage was good as well. I'm not a big sausage guy but I really enjoyed it. Overall, superb. Now I heed to go back and try the other times. If you are out in Lago (or even if you're not) and you want good bbq, this is the place to go. read more
