Bakers Bounty - Raspberry cake - Bakeries Near Me - Linden, New Jersey

4.25 Never been to the actual shop. Had some pastries near the the mayor's resident/the park by there. A bit expensive (2 bucks for the small 1, 3 bucks for the large.) Pies were 6 bucks for a really small personal pie and 12 for a big one (pecan pie) so I did not buy the pie. Bread looked good also. Praline Walnut Cookie 4.5: 3 dollars for one GIANT cookie. Pralines were the 2nd best after New Orleans. Walnuts were good. Their pastry dough is also very good, nice and flaky but not too soft that i breaks in your fingers. Very solid Peanut Butter Cookie: 4.0 2 dollars for this one. Could possibly be split as it is quite rich as well. A bit too hard (maybe a bit too much peanut butter?) but solid. Would be real good with milk. Solid Excellent cookies, 5 bucks for 2 cookies. read more

My favorite little shop in our Brooklyn framers market in Green Point. I love how welcoming these folks are and always willing to recommend a new addiction. My favorite pie is the buckwheat Apple pie, it's super flakey with a good crust. The apples pie is just right it's not to sweet. My 2nd must have item is the short bread cookies some one get me a glass of cold milk. Overall I have not been disappointed with there awesome baked goods. read more

Service like DMV, pies like Kroger's. Avoid. Went to the Downtown Brooklyn farmer's market today and purchased a few small pies. Even with just a couple customers around the two attendants completely ignored me. I was standing directly in front of them with cash in my hand and one guy took my money then gave it back for some unknown reason. Another woman ignored me, served someone behind me, talked about another stall's food, and then walked away. Completely unprofessional. Furthermore, the pie fillings are unimpressive. Tried pumpkin, coconut, and pecan. They taste like processed, factory packaged pies - what's the point of a bakery that can't beat at least a supermarket pie? Crusts are thick, tasteless, and not at all flaky. read more

My boyfriend LOVES cherry pie. I saw the Bakers Bounty tent at the Ridgewood Farmers Market and saw that they had small cherry pies, so I got one. It was the best cherry pie ever! Even I liked it and I'm not a fan! LOL! How can I find out when and where you'll be in the Passaic County area? We'd love to get more cherry pies and the breads looked amazing! If you make a cherry crumb pie, please let me know! read more

Picked up a crumb bun at midtown Manhattan stand. It looks amazing, much more crumb than bun as others have mentioned. I opened it up immediately to eat, and it tasted like it was about a week old. The bun portion was stale and the crumbs dry. I ended up throwing it away. Not sure I would buy anything again if I can't count on the freshness of the product. read more

The crust wasn't bad. The blueberries were very small, tasteless and the skin consistency was unpleasant. I purchased it at the Grand Army Plaza Farmer's Market. read more

Best crumb buns in the galaxy. An unusually thick layer of huge sugary crumbs with the perfect amount of cinnamon & I'm a crumb bun expert. Used to buy these for special occasions at Union Square Market, but because of Covid I don't go out. I called on a whim & Kim said she would ship me an order. My 72nd birthday is next week & I have always eaten crumb buns on my birthday so I am so excited to have just gotten my package. Kim even put in a Happy Birthday note. Fantasy crumb buns & customer service to match. Judy Wyman read more

The freshly baked desserts are by far the best we have tasted. We have been visiting Marlboro Farmers Market and purchase a few different items from Bakers Bounty and they NEVER disappoint. The buckwheat strawberry rhubarb mini pie is THE BEST I HAVE EVER TASTED. The crumb cake is so moist with just the perfect amount maybe a bit extra crumb on top..I bought the white and black cookie and the apple pie today..Im sure it will be amazing. I will return every Sunday for a few new items. 100% worth it!! read more

Awesome GF raspberry crumb cake! All the non-GF items look great so I'm guessing they taste just as good.

Bought a pack of your chocolate dipped coconut macaroons today at the Montclair Fine Arts and Crafts show at Anderson Park. Got to my car, opened the package, bit jnto a macaroon and it was absolutely stale! Hard and falling apart. Tried a 2nd one with the same result. These are bad and totally not fresh. You should have better quality control than to bring stale products to a show as popular as this one. If I could return them tomorrow I would but I have another commitment. read more

My mom discovered Baker's Bounty at a farmer's market in North Jersey, and the strawberry rhubarb pie she picked up was hands-down the best anyone in my family had ever had. The simple ingredient list is probably to thank for that -- no preservatives, no weird aftertaste, no gumminess. I was very happy to find the Baker's Bounty tent at the Union Square Greenmarket on a recent Wednesday, and luckily scored the last strawberry rhubarb pie of the day, along with a mushroom focaccia. The pie was as delicious as I'd remembered it, and the focaccia was great too -- fresh and not greasy. Next time I'll try the peach pie! read more

This black and white cookie: it was fantastic. The texture was soft yet dense, cake and cookie. My family found it at the Army Plaza Market; maybe you will, too read more

I was taking photos at the Roseland Farmers Market. Bought a Zucchini Walnut Loaf at Baker's Bounty. WOW! WOW! WOW! Amazing. Loaf was fresh and soft. Wonderful texture. I am a baker and know good baking when I taste it. So good! Worth every penny! read more

Another Greenmarket find! Before I went gluten-free, I indulged in the garlic-mozzarella-stuffed bread/peasant loaf/raisin-walnut loaf/holiday eggnog cake goodness that was Bakers Bounty. However, their gluten-free selection (though small) is expanding (and delicious)! Kim Laprete, the owner, said that she doesn't want her g-free goods to taste like they're missing something, so she won't take it to market unless it's really incredible. So far, the coconut cherry cake, raspberry walnut cake (tastes like an italian rainbow layer cookie!), and chocolate covered macaroons are really satisfying. Yesterday, she unveiled a new g-free chocolate chip cookie made with buckwheat flour--it tasted delicious, and had that mouth feel of crunchy on the outside and that slightly undercooked satisfaction in the middle. Woot! Cookies and milk are back! read more

Bought a box of bow tie cookies today at the morristown farmers market and they were stale. Throwing them out. There was a lot of good looking items, but not sure if try again. read more

The best scones anywhere. The pear ginger pie is so subtle and addictive. And the most delicious part of summer is their fruit pies sourced with fruit from local farms. read more

If you haven't tried it you have to get their crumb cake. It's a quarter inch of cake with the rest crumb, it's simply the best crumb cake in the free world. But if you go to a farmers market be forewarned, get their early or you'll miss out, it goes quickly. read more

Peach cake was a ripoff. Bought it at farm market for 6 Not a peach in it. These guys are obviously saying we will never see the customer again so who cares. read more

Bought a large crumb bun yesterday at their space at Sugarloaf Craft Fair. Opened it today. Sooo disappointed as cake part was very stale, not fresh at all. I would have packed it up and returned to store but it's a 40 minute drive and not worth the time. read more

I discovered Bakers Bounty at a farmers market near Lincoln Center in Manhattan. They are delightful people and their baked goods are exceptional. I only get to see them on Thursdays while at work so I frequently load up on goods. Focacia breads, apple turnovers (sweet and sugar free), buckwheat peanut butter cookies and their rugelach to name just a few items. Yes, for sweet toothers, you will think your in heaven. And for those who are watching their sugar, you have plenty to choose from. Bread lovers will have a difficult time picking something out. read more

I get their sourdough loaf every weekend at the Grand Army Plaza Farmer's Market and it brings me so much joy. Last weekend on a whim, I asked the girl if there was anything else she would recommend, and she told me to try the spinach, mozzarella, garlic loaf. I told her I wasn't really a fan of garlic and she insisted I would love it. I paid and left and as I was walking away I was thinking to myself "Why did I just get that, I won't ever eat it, what a waste of money, etc." When I got home, I sliced it up and as I was starving, I ate a slice. OMG it was literal heaven. I have never tasted something so insanely delicious in my life. I am somewhat ashamed to say I ate the entire loaf in 24 hours. Now I am searching to see if they deliver (since it's still COVID and I live in Brooklyn) I am not making a trip to Jersey, but I am having hardcore cravings. This bread is like crack. THANK YOU TO THE LADY BEHIND THE BOOTH FOR INSISTING I GET THE SPINACH LOAF. I LOVE YOU! read more

Purchased two small pies at Union Square market the day before Thanksgiving. They were very friendly, but honestly the pies were disappointing. The pear ginger pie contained almost no ginger (maybe none).. The pumpkin pie filling was nicely seasoned but the crust was heavy. read more

Gluten Free Bread - Fantastic. I was at a vendor at The East Brunswick Spring Farmers Market and the Bakers Bounty stand was just behind me. My husband saw that they were selling a Gluten-Free Quinoa and Flax Seed bread. I spoke to her a little bit about it. She told me how hard it is to work with. Having Celiac, I am used to eating lousy, crust-less bread. To be honest, the owner/baker didn't seem too keen on it so I kind of put it out of my mind. Gluten free bread always cost more and is usually disappointing. However my husband looked at it again, saw that it had a nice crust, "a must for good bread he says", so he bought it. When we got home he surprised me with it. What a delightful revelation. Gluten Free bread with a crust!!. I broke out the butter and I shamefully admit, indulged in three wonderful slices. It was like eating a crusty Rye Bread. DELICIOUS. If you are gluten free (even if you are not) visit the Bakers Bounty website, find out which farmer's market she will be at next and GO! read more

Picked up the crumb cake for the first time at an Arts and Crafts Show in Montclair. Oh my, words just cannot express how excellent it WAS - it did not last long in our home. Just checked out where else I could buy some other of their products. I'm telling you, you will be amazed. read more

I've bought many things from Bakers Bounty when they're at the Union Square Farmers' Market. I love the cookies and muffins, both just the right amount of moist and with great flavor. I have taken the pretty boxes of biscotti to many holiday parties; at $5, they are such a good deal (and taste great!). My favorite Bakers Bounty item is seasonal: the gingerbread house kits are fantastic. Delicious, super cute, and with everything you need. I was so happy to see them again this year. Great, friendly service at Union Sq. Farmers' Market. read more

The Bakers Bounty came to Summit and I had the opportunity to try several cakes. They are delicious! I tried the peach, cranberry apple, apple, and pumpkin. So fresh, not too sweet and many options to choose from. This past Saturday, I had the bread with brócoli and cheddar, also super fresh and delicious! I recommended to my friends. read more

Just this past Saturday I bought several items from Baker's Bounty at the Greenmarket at Grand Army Plaza. They are very nice to deal with, and had a lovely selection of breads and other pastries. I purchased two cranberry scones - very delicious (because I had one for breakfast today; light and flaky, not too sweet); a generously-sized challah bread, which will be great for French toast, and two eggplant puffs, which also will be great for a light lunch or a nutritious snack. Best of all, they are all-natural, and locally-sourced. If I'm up at Lincoln Center again one of these days, I'll be on the lookout for them there, too. read more

Strolling through the Union Square Greenmarket today, I was determined to leave with a loaf of freshly baked bread in my hands. I recognized the usual bread stations and as I walked further down, I spotted a vendor that I have never taken the time to notice before. Maybe people their table is situated in the outskirt of the market? So I took an initiation and cured my curiosity. Wow. They've got savory pies, sweets, and of course, bread. Bakers Bounty doesn't delve into the spelt, gluten-free and other dietary related products. They produce old-schooled bread, like your Italian baguette, semolina rolls and of course, the 'healthy' stuff like whole wheat, rye, and multigrain. I was overwhelmed with the choices, but then I spotted one of my favorites - pumperkickel. Yum! It's a substantial boule for only $3.50 and you know what's the best part? It's the crust! It's all about the exterior crackness. You can keep the 'soft doughy innard', but give me all the crust. I handed my money and brought that cradled that baby back to my office. Had it with hummus, but really, it's all about the bread to me for lunch. Thank goodness I took the extra time to explore the other corner of the market. read more

On sept 28, 2014 we bought a peach cake from them at the ridgewood farmers market. We paid $6 for that peach cake...which happened to be sans peach. Yes, seriously it was just pound cake. Found 1 peach slice on the top to be honest. $6 for a peach cake without peach. Ridiculous. We also bought some apple and walnut cake which apparently happened to include apples and nuts in its recipe. The cake is OK, not bad not particularly good. read more

Brilliant. Discovered at the Verona Arts Festival - shared I'm always in market for GF baked goods and they showed me the Rasberry Cake :) As a connoisseur, I am floored by the brilliance of this delicate walnut based creation. The flavor hit among so many notes with the flaky crunch, the natural power of fresh raspberry preserve and every bite was engaging and intense. If only some of our high powered Manhattan restaurants featuring GF desserts took note and strived for this greatness. Well done, don't miss this place!! read more
